I've visited Six 26 a handful of times and this is what I learned: don't be fooled by the pride flags. For nightlife, parties at Six 26 are as good as it gets n Jersey City. Yes, there is the LGBTQ presence, but it generally attracts big diverse crowds. Best of all, the DJs play open format so you get all flavors from pop to EDM. It is a bit hard to get the bartenders' attention, but they are pretty fast when you get them. However, although the brunch deals are the same as The Ashford, it is usually dead during the daytimes. Overall, if you are secure in your sexuality, you should enjoy Six 26. read more

Overall I enjoy visiting this location, but that's mostly because there aren't many options for gay clubs in NJ. I've been many times during the week when there is no door security. And there are no problems. Today, I visited at 1:15 am, because the website says the bar closes at 2am, and the doors are already closed! I've never had a problem getting in before 2am until now. The only reason I arrived so late is because I was stuck in NYC waiting for the path train and taking the long 30+ minute ride. I was trying to find out when the doors are closed and the guy wouldn't even open the door to have a proper conversation. It goes without saying, but security should treat patrons like they want to be treated. I find some of them to be very rude when walking around the club to monitor the crowd. They should be able to move around unnoticed. Not pushing people out of the way. And please don't post a BS response about "this is our policy," because that should be stated on the website. I took some friends of mine from it if town to Six26 in hopes of going to the rooftop.. but it was closed since it was a but chilly... i get that. So we sat downstairs and ordered some draft beers from the menu. When we got the bill we noticed that the beers on the menu were $7 each and they charged us $9 each. When we asked the waitress, we were simply told that the menu was out of date. Seriously?? We also paid cash but were charged a credit card processing fee. We told the waitress and told her to have it fixed and she can just keep the extra dollar for herself... so I'm not sure if she fixed it. The 2 stars that i am giving is for her as she was pleasant enough and i feel the overcharging is symptomatic of the Bar and no reflection of her service. read more

Stopped in for drag brunch with some friends. The brunch was fine but the drag show was GREAT! Sad that it was inside, it's hard to see the performers from certain seats in the downstairs area so get there early & make a reservation to get a good seat. We came to Six 26 for brunch and the entire experience was disappointing. The place was empty. There was one guy at the bar and one table with a couple at it. For a gay bar I was expecting the typical Sunday funday LGBTQ+ crowd brunching it up. Definitely no "Sunday funday" going on at this establishment. There was no friendly greeting, it just felt like the two employees working there didn't want to be there. We asked for a table and we were told we had to sit at the bar because all the tables were reserved. The entire time we were there no one else came in. All the tables were empty except one. The food was standard fare, mediocre at best. The ambiance was giving washed up dive-bar. We ate our food and left around 1pm feeling like we were lied to about the tables and feeling disappointed in the food and the vibe. read more

Came here with a friend for happy hour on a weekday. The rooftop seating was beautiful - Loved the decorations, cleanliness of the place, and location. Extremely spacious. We did not enjoy the food and drinks. We both got a grilled cheese and fruity flavored mixed drinks. The drink was low priced and strong, but overwhelmingly syrup-y. The french fries were ok, but the cheese on the sandwiches was not melted all the way and felt rubber-y. Service was OK- Our waiter was very friendly, but it was hard to get their attention, despite us being 1 of 3 tables with customers on the rooftop. I want to give this place another try for the nightlife, as I love the inclusive environment and venue itself. If you are looking for happy hour and small bites, I'd recommend some other places nearby! read more

I can't say enough about Six26 so, let's start from the top bottom. Six26 is a multi floor club/lounge experience. The rooftop offers views of downtown jersey city and parts of new york. It's fairly spacious , open and the breeze is divine. You can order food on any floor as long as the kitchen is open. The bartenders are all good looking and fantastic at making drinks. The food is where it hit the mark. They have def leveled up since after covid and their food is flavorful , tasty and unique for recipes i've had before. The downstairs basement lounge/club area can get a bit hectic and tight during peak hours but on off days you can move around and the music is always pumping . I was there for several hours, ordered different dishes to get a feel and all of it was hot, fresh and delicious . The DJ was cranking that music ! I was twerking and dipping. You also have Drag performers walking around ! makes the night so much more fun. if you're with friends and in down town and want the night time feel with music, food and entertainment please stop by here. If it were just based on the food it would have gotten 0 stars however the drinks were good m, the staff was friendly, and the drag show was fun. Went on a Saturday to celebrate a birthday. I got the French toast with bacon, well done. The bacon came out pink and flimsy and the French toast although good was so soft inside I thought it was stuffed with a custard or something. The texture inside was way too mushy, literally tasted like custard. It was sent back and the bacon came back actually cooked, but the French toast was removed from the bill because it came back out the same way. We ordered eggs Benedict , it didn't have any sauce on it and the yolks were fully cooked and stiff. The burrito was dry. The cheeseburger was lack luster. My friends and I finally made our way to Six 26 and had a BLAST! The only thing was that my friend made an online reservation for 12pm on a Saturday for brunch but when I got there they weren't open yet. The staff was super nice about it though, I was thinking maybe because we should've called in the reservation instead. Either way, my friends and I made the best of it. We were seated around 12:45pm and people slowly started rolling in. This spot has great drink specials! $5 green tea shots and $3 mimosas. My friends and I had to start with both. I ordered the avocado toast with tater tots and it was really good! The drag show started around 2pm and was very entertaining. They interacted with the audience and performed to ALL the throwback jams! Pussycat Dolls, Whitney Houston, etc. They also do a birthday shout out where you perform in the middle of the dancefloor; I give props to whoever got up there! What I loved is that they didn't make us feel rushed. We stood all the way until 4:30pm. I can't wait to visit again and enjoy the rooftop during the summer. Ariel Versace & Chasity St. Cartier were amazing. The other two queens were okay. The downstairs room is dark, but lit well enough to read the menu. The drinks are good and they have specials every day. It was so difficult to get our servers attention and he was not very attentive. We stayed after the brunch and the bartenders were absolutely fantastic. The food is not good. I had the chorizo omelette and it was kinda gross. The texture of the egg was weird. Had such a great time here. Celebrated a friends birthday here we made reservations in advance for the drag show brunch which is recommended. They did fill up fast which was awesome! From beginning to end the entertainment was phenomenal. I ordered the hangover burger and added curly fries and I truly enjoyed it. My friends ordered the wings and the chicken and waffles and they weren't so fond of it. The drinks were great and affordable. I would say the seating arrangement made the view a little harder to see but overall I was very pleased with everything. There is a parking lot that you have to pay right across the street which was accessible. Check out their other themed nights like karaoke and deals. Brunch and sittings are from 1 and 1:30 but the show starts around 2 pm so try to get there within that 1 pm timeframe. Can't wait wait to go back! Always a great time when i come here, i come here almost every weekend and have been coming here for a year and some change now. The food is great, the tacos especially. Drinks wise, you cannot go wrong with a vodka cranberry. The staff works their hardest to get you whatever it is you need as quickly as possible. On the weekends it's a great party spot with amazing music- probably the best party spot in the area even when you factor in the other nearby clubs/bars. After telling me they lost my card they promised to comp my bill and try to find my card before the night ended. They took my name and number to call me back once they found it. We came here for late night dancing. Security checked our IDs at the door. There was no cover. The area by the bar and the dance floor were quite packed. The crowd was mixed, but seemed to lean towards people in their mid to late twenties. The music was good. Covid guidelines were also being enforced. My problem is with the staff.They seemed disorganized . The bouncer said the wait could be an hour, but I was allowed in no problem a couple minutes later ( group of 4 ). Food that we never ordered was delivered to our table 3 times. My boyfriend got roofied here a few months ago on a Saturday night. Debated sharing this because at this point there's nothing to be done. 3 years ago this was a really fun club where everyone was welcome, the dj was amazing and there were less hard core druggies and creeps. I'm not sure who you're hiring for bouncers, but it is very obvious that some of your patrons are strung out on more than weed. My boyfriend is 6'2" 180lbs, can handle his liquor and he only had 4 drinks at this point in the night (only 1 drink from your bar)...he is violently ill about 2 hours later to the point where I wasn't sure he was alive. Do better Ashford/six26. You are allowing trash in these clubs the past few years and people are noticing this slip. I have not had a chance to have a full meal here for brunch but I did have the wings which I do recommend. There are drag shows which every one loves. The rooftop does close at some point in the evening, however there is a night club downstairs. I've been once and it that is also chill. The DJ was great playing all new and old music. Two of my best buds had just proposed to one another and they decided to throw their engagement party here. No regrets at all - I think Six 26 did a phenomenal job with food, ambiance, entertainment, drinks, etc. The backroom was rented out and we had two private bartenders for the three hours we were here. The event space was perfect for our size (~60 people) and was able to accommodate the various moving parts - slideshow, party favours, photobooth, etc. The catered food also was better than expected - salsa + chips, chicken parmesan, fried calamari, etc. What about the drinks you say? Jean Paul (I think that was his name) and Shoshanna really took care of us and made the night a memorable one. Jean Paul's Bees Knees were just that, and though Shoshanna's specialties were margherita's and something else with vodka, she hooked it up with her gin specialty drink from Corgi Gin distillery. That. Drink. Was. FIREEE. So much so that I told everyone I could and ordered another. Oh, did I forgot that at 10 PM they opened up the divider and we had direct access to the drag show?
