I've been here many times so this is just another great experience. Get here at about 11:15 so that you don't stand in the line that goes out the door. I order a standard lunch and you assemble all of the ingredients just like any other Mongolian barbecue place. The difference with this place is they give you a choice of egg drop soup for hot and sour soup, Fried rice or steamed rice and a spring roll with your meal. Great value at about $8.95. Located in the same shopping center as Bambu this place is busy! We came here Sunday night around 6pm and the place was very busy with new customers coming in the whole time we were there. The place is setup in the following order: meats, noodles, veggies and sauces. Speaking as a Mongolian Expert, I advise you to smash the thinly sliced rolls of frozen meat flat, this saves space in your bowl. After putting in your meat skip the noodles and add your vegetables and sauces, then go back and add your noodles on top. Putting your noodles on last will prevent your veggies from falling out of your bowl. Noodles are sticky so they won't fall out of your bowl :) The sauces here are a tad bit watered down so I recommend doubling whatever your normal input is. Some of the booths here were in bad need of repair, but overall the place was nice and the service was good. Went here on a weeknight and I was surprised at how quickly the line moves. They have the usual veggies and meats the quality is fine. My only complaint is the eggroll and the bowls of rice. Let's start with the eggroll, it's literally the wrapper with maybe 5 pieces of scraggly looking cabbage, not even some carrot pieces lol. The rice (plain white) was hard and very dry, I guess it's not that important but I literally put my fork in the bowl for a bite and I was able to lift all the rice in one shot-- like a big ole rice ball. The fried rice looks ok, but the opposite effect all the grains just fall off the fork as it is so dry. Anyways, 4 stars as my main was good. Used to come here about once a month. Haven't been since covid arrived. Much the same, nice and clean, friendly wait staff, good selection of veggies and sauces. BUT the reason I left a couple of stars off ( I would be happier to have given 3.5 stars) is NO LAMB and no peanuts. The peanuts I could live without, but they do add taste and texture to the final dish, this was one of the few places where my wife didn't complain about me having lamb. This is by far the best Mongolian place I have tried by a landslide. However aside from the food. The environment really takes away from the meal. The walls behind the food stations are cluttered with shop vacs boxes serving ware, etc. however most importantly is the manager, he is there every day which is great that he is involved, but they way that he speaks to his employees and even customers genuinely takes away from the meal. I love this place and make a point to eat here for lunch every time I'm in Rocklin. The food is delicious, you get a lot more than just your bowl of bbq (see pictures), you have tons of options to add to your unique creation. The staff are nice and will always find a place for you to eat even when they are super busy. I've arrived at lunch a couple of times where the last be was out the door, but they keep everyone moving, the food comes up hot & quick and they manage the tables/seating very efficiently. (Don't worry about grabbing a table when you come in- just hop into n lot me and they'll take care of you). On warm days, there's outside seating also. My family has tried a bunch of different Mongolian BBQ places, but this one sticks out. So much so that when my grandparents come to visit from Florida we always have dinner here. The line is always well stocked, they work quickly without making you feel rushed, The food is delicious, and they are able to accommodate large parties. My only "complaint" is I feel that it is a bit expensive. If it wasn't quite so much or they had a cheaper lunch option I probably would be here a lot more often. This restaurant had plenty of room for seating. Prices for lunch and dinner were affordable. For lunch you are restricted to one bowl, so try to push your food down in the bowl to make space! :) Even though one bowl didn't sound like enough, when I packed my bowl, I ended up being so full afterward because the lunch meal also comes with soup, egg rolls, and a side of fried rice. I removed one star in my review because this restaurant is closed from 2:30-5:00pm daily. Luckily I made it there at 1:45pm, but I felt rushed in getting there before they closed. Otherwise, the food tasted great! My friends really enjoyed their lunch here as well -- they said it was better than other Mongolian places that they've been to in Sac and Elk Grove. read more

This is the best I've had. Staff is kind and attentive. The veggies taste fresher than others. My only criticism is that you can no longer order a to-go box and sit with someone who chooses to dine in.
