It's crap now. They have an abbreviated salad bar menu with very few items and no seconds. You order from a small paper menu which which you give to your server. They bring you a small portion of this poor choice selection. No seconds! You get a salad and a choice between two soups, vegetable beef and clam chowder with NO refills. No macaroni and cheese, No onion rings,No jello,No taco bar or taco's,No desert selection only vinilla ice-cream no cone and no toppings. Here is the best part the price is $14.99 whether or not is is with a meal order or not. The senior price before this was &10.99 for only soup&salad and 6$6.99 with a senior meal. I will NEVER go back as long as this current menu exist. read more

I'm a regular at the Banning Sizzler. I usually go for the luncheon buffet and get water. I give the food a 5-Star but I've never received great service. I'm constantly waving down the waitress for more plates. After the 3rd plate it's almost impossible to get another plate. So I just clean off a plate with napkins. However, this may not be the waitress fault - it might be a store policy that after the 3rd plate slow it down. I'm constantly waiving down the waitress to fill my water glass. Last time I ordered a Cherry-Limeade, which cost $3.99. It was absolutely delicious! They serve it in a mug with cherries and limes. I asked for a refill and I got the regular soda glass with no cherries or lime. At $3.99 I would think the refill glass would be just like the original. read more

the place looks great. it's pretty on the inside. the waiters/waitresses are friendly and kind and understanding. the food was not enjoyable. i ordered the 6oz steak and 6pcs jumbo crispy shrimp with mashed potatoes. my steak was between rare and medium rare, and i ordered it medium well. it had lots of fatty parts in it and it tasted burnt and unseasoned. the shrimp tasted dry as if it sat out for a bit before being served. my mashed potatoes were salty and had a weird consistency like they'd been frozen and then microwaved. my friend got a half rack of ribs, 6oz steak and mashed potatoes. the ribs had a weird film like the skin you'd find on a salmon. the ribs didn't taste seasoned and there was lots of fat and cartilage in them. the steak was ordered medium rare and came out well done. the potatoes were the same as mine. we tried to get the partial refund and the general manager kept insisting on a certificate for the price of the ribs (they were ordered separate). we said we would prefer a partial refund because we wouldn't be coming back and she didn't give a solid "no" answer and insisted on the certificate. i know everyone has different experiences but ours was not a good one. read more

I have been to a fair amount of sizzlers in the IE and in OC. Most food at all of them are pretty much the same. The steak and crispy shrimp for a couple of us and the salad bar for the others were all good. What made the 5 star rating was our server Sabrina. If I could I'd give this place 10 stars! We're from whittier and have been to a few different sizzler locations. This location in particular has become our new favorite. We stopped here for a bite to eat on our way home from Havasu, the daytime manager helped us to our seat and between he and our waitress, we were definitely catered to, even when it got busy. The staff was so super friendly. If every restaurant ran their business this way, they could be as successful as this place. This is also by far the cleanest sizzler we've been to. This was an epic dining experience. Vanessa was our server and she was attentive and helped make our experience here great. I had the steak and all you can eat shrimp and the salad bar. I chose the yam as my side, that was a fine yam and the cinnamon brown sugar butter made that yam FIRE! The salad bar was fully stocked and we saw servers constantly tending to it. My girlfriend and I have never had a bad experience at this Banning restaurant. Although the salad bar was not served, we very much enjoyed the food offered on the menu. We were greeted at ordering counter, "Welcome, we'll be right with you." Our server, Selena was terrific! Her eyes smiled under her mask, she was very attentive, Very Fast in refilling our drinks, and did not rush us out of our booth. It was nice to see the management staff speak with all of the guests inside and out to inquire of their meals. As a server/waitress myself i see a family party of 10 towards the end of the night, it can be uncomfortable, espicially with Kids, lucky for me and the other 9 people our Server Christina was an absolute doll who did her best at making our table neat, tidy, and gave us refills like the spicket in the back never shut off. So we decided to go here cause we heard they had a steak and lobster dinner, you could tell their signing was updated and looked beautiful to the eyes. So my dinner lobster, the steak was $29.99 market value for that day. And I thought it would be better than Morongo's buffet. Because I believe Morongo's was $35.00 per person but at the casino, I think it is all you can eat. Anyhow sizzlers place was clean and servers were nice, but at the register didn't realize that the cashier charge for soup and I had thought it came with dinner for that price. So that was an extra $5.49 one time only, so for the price wouldn't do it again, the steak was not great at all. Will not buy that for that price again, lobster was good but a small portion for the price. Will find a better place for lobster. read more

My family and I tend to come to sizzlers here in Banning quit often. The salad bar has few options and always kept full and clean. Today I ordered the 6oz steak med. rare. Cooked to perfection! How can everyone working at sizzler in Banning "BE SO DARN HAPPY AND ACCOMMODATING". Three of us stopped there because my friend wanted a sit down restaurant. My one friend is never happy when she eats out and thats been happening for 20 years. Two of us were happy with our food. My friend who returns food all the time, returned her entree 3 times.
