I wasn't going to leave this review because I have a friend who works at this particular store, but it's not the first time I've had a lousy meal at the Sizzler in Hesperia . It will be the last. Going to eat at The Sizzler, well it's like taking your car into a place of repair that practices upselling. There are several oil changing businesses that do that as well as muffler shops, and even few tire stores. I recently went to the Sizzler in Hesperia, Ca and had a steak dinner and endless shrimp.. lmbo the entire experience was a joke, totally poor food and poor service. I wanted a dinner salad to go with it but of course that was 7.99 extra, (upsell)... I passed as most dinners come with a salid,and I didn't want an endless salid bar just a dinner salid. $8.00 really? Maybe I'm cheap but that seems expensive for a dinner salad to me at the sizzler) .(Now the upsel starts). The Cashier told me my order came with a 6oz steak would I like to upgrade to a 8 oz? Well yes I did want to upgrade so I did, I agreed. $5.99 to upgrade.... did I want mushrooms with that? Of course I did that was another up charge. (So it is more for mushrooms at all places , no biggie.) My friend just ordered a cheeseburger we both had iced tea. Seemed like dinner took quite some time to arrive but the conversation was good so I ignored that. Our meal finally arrived at the table. I swear the steak I got had to be 5 oz not 6 or 8. The baked potato was not only cold but undercooked, the lemon that was in the iced tea looked... well used. Well I thought I can live with this really I can, after all it's sizzler not a nice steak house, I mean really I don't need the extra couple ounces of steak, and the potato eh, I never eat them all anyway. So I took a bite of the steak it had good flavor but I couldn't chew it, it was so tough,then tried out the baked potato.. yikes it's not cooked and it's cold. So I'm checking my receipt now to see if I was charged for a 8oz steak, yep there is the extra charge, but then I notice the charge for the mushrooms on there too, but humm where are the mushrooms??? They hadn't brought them to me... They forgot. So I waited for the waitress to come around, and I waited, and I waited, she finally came by,several times and although I tried to get her attention she almost ran by my table, until I practically had to trip her when she was jogging by again to get her to stop.... This would have been more acceptable had they been busy, but the place wasn't busy. I was finally able to get her attention and I told her the steak was not an 8 oz steak which I paid extra for, to which she replied oh sir I'm more than sure it's 8 oz's, it has to be,they because weigh them all. I looked at her and I said ma'am I'm sure they do weigh them all however this is 6oz not 8 and by the way where are my mushrooms.... to which she replied I must have forgot them, I said yes I'm sure you did just like the cook forgot I ordered an 8 oz steak for Christ sakes I'm 65 years old I know what a 8 oz steak looks like I know what a 6 ounce steak looks like, and I know what a real steak looks like at a real steak house. She brought over my mushrooms a few minutes later, and by that time I was over the whole meal. My buddy who got the cheeseburger at this point is laughing. I called over the manager and I pointed out the small steak which I had only taken a bite out of, pointing out the fact that my mushrooms were not served with the meal but 20 minutes later..., and the potato was not only cold but not cooked through. The manager did agree the steak was too small to be 8 oz and the potato was uncooked. He apologized about the meal and the poor service and as matter of fact he replaced my whole meal. All this for $61.00.... I took the replacement meal and left... After I got home I tried the replacement meal same thing, small tough steak, uncooked potato. The only thing of the whole meal that was decent was actually the mushrooms and the shrimp. Sizzler you'll have to up your game before I come back. I price checked a steak and shrimp meal and a cheeseburger and a local steakhouse in Apple Valley where I have gone I would have paid $8 more and I've eaten at the other Steakhouse and they'd never let me down I'll never come back to sizzler... if this is what you serve Sizzler I see why you closed in the past for about two or three years. I predict you'll be closing again. read more

The endless salad bar is the best. It is the only reason I go. Soo delicious! I don't get full on salads so to have the endless salad bar and have other opens with it is the best. I get full on good tasty stuff. read more

Went for dinner Sat night with family after a very busy day. Very disappointed with this establishment. Will not recommend to family, friends, or neighbors. The girls at cashier very rude. No personality. I felt very rushed when ordering. Salad bar items were luke warm. My grand baby's ribs were burned. My steak was cold, potato not cooked. Waitress took my plate to make it right. My reorder took over 50 mins to get it. Family was done eating. No apologies. When asked fo management he or she never showed. The only reason for 3 stars is for a clean establishment. We only went because we had a gift card, but it was not worth it. First of all the salad bar choices were awful, the chicken looked really old to me. Everything was actually quite pricey, and the food wasn't good enough for those prices. The steak was ok, but it was a bit fatty for my taste. I had the worst experience here today. The food was lukewarm which is very dangerous. And I found more than 10 plates with old spaghetti sauce and ranch dressing stuck to the plate. When I brought this to the attention of the manager he didn't even apologize he just took the plates for me and walked away. I will never eat at this Sizzler ever again. Which is really a shame because I used to really love this franchise and I will never ever ever eat there again. We were visiting from out of town and the kids decided they wanted to go to Sizzler. I didn't really want to go because of past experiences at a different one. I was pleasantly surprised how great the food was, how friendly the staff was and how it was an all around great experience! We will definitely be coming back in the future. read more

My mom and I ordered over the phone for curbside pickup. Amanda was the host that took our phone order, she was so very friendly and just awesome customer service all around. They were out of the cut of steak that we originally order due to the virus situation and so Amanda called back to inform us and ask if we would like the other cut that the had available. It wasn't necessarily our favorite cut, so we were a little hesitant but we said yes. And we were so glad we did the food was amazing!! The steaks were cooked very nicely. Thank You!!! All that was expected from the Sizzler's Salad Bar was fresh and plentiful with every conceivable vegetable to build a great salad. Great dressings also. There was plenty of staff to keep the bar stocked and clean. Our server was pleasant and tentative and as always, over worked. Yes it is a family restaurant, but it is a big restaurant. At first I thought we were seated in a section with no small children. Every booth and table seems to have the elderly, date-night couples and larger parties of adults. Half way through our meal was seated a family with a small child, then another on the other side of our booth with two more small children. And so, the loud screeches came. There is an age in a child's life where they are experiencing their own voice. While tolerated by the parents and sometimes found endearing, it sounds like nails on a chalkboard for the rest of us. Finishing up, we left the restaurant with a screeching contest between the two tables. It doesn't "take a Village...", just a good hostess so the Villagers can all enjoy their meal. read more

Not your average Sizzler, everything is fresh and taste great. I live the salad bar always clean and fresh and lots of items to choose from. Even the well done steak was juicy. Service was great got my refills and requested items. Love all the flat screen TVs and large seating area. Will return again to eat the fresh Salad Bar. read more

Our 60.00 Valentines Lunch. Well what can I say.... its Sizzler. My steak was so skinny, I doubt it was 6 oz. They should be embarrased to serve a steak like that. The prices have gone up so much I was shocked. The senior salad bar is 15.99 now. That's not a senior price on any similar type restaurant. ( price gouging). My husbands steak was wrongly cooked, not once but twice. So we didn't eat together. The waitress offered to send it back again the second time, but my husband doesn't go for sending back food. Our waitress was sweet and pleasant. The manager knew there was an issue, but never addressed it nor did he care if we had a nice experience. I just feel like our Valentine lunch was a disaster and the meal even worse. The value of the meal is extremely poor. I hate to say it, but if they don't care about size value, quality, and dining experience, then Texas Road House will be their end. I really like Sizzler, but they need to shape up. The food was good, but the service wasn't as great as I thought it should be for how empty it was. I went during lunch with my husband and we had to wait a bit for our drinks, bit the food was great and the server was nice. This place has one of the best salad bars around the High Desert. Always fresh, looking good and great variety. I love and recommend their spinach cranberry salad! The all you can eat salad bar is worth it at such a great price. Lots to choose from. Sometimes hard to choose between salad bar and their steaks. Keep in mind this is a steak house and their steaks are just great. This place is family oriented, modern, very clean and staff is very friendly. I definitely recommend this place. It's unacceptable... I just thought that if you pay $ 50.00 plus for 2 meals they should atleast have real macaroni and cheese. It tasted like it came from a bag. And atleast heat it up first before putting it cold in the hotel pan coz when we got it it was not hot. Also the steak is not cook as what we ordered . I thought it's a steak house? We've been to many sizzler and I don't think their cook know what's the difference between medium, medium well and well done. I've been eating at Sizzler on and off for many years. The Hesperia, California location on Main Street underwent a remodel not too many years ago. I was afraid that the quality of service, selection, and quality would suffer, but fortunately, this wasn't the case. I went there a week or so ago with some family. My uncle walks with a cane, my grandmother requires the use of a wheelchair, and my aunt must adhere to a gluten-free diet. The staff members were very accommodating to all of our needs. My grandmother was able to sit at a table in her wheelchair comfortably without blocking the aisle. I was able to take wheel her around the salad bar (and through the restaurant for that matter) without issue. My uncle was also able to maneuver without issue. My aunt ordered something (I don't remember what it was called) that involved rice, beef, mushrooms, and gravy. She forgot to order the gravy "on the side." She sighed heavily when her meal arrived and she realized that she may not be able to eat her meal. Upon request, our server brought the package used to make the gravy, an upon inspection, it was very clear that my aunt could not eat her meal due to the gluten in the gravy. My aunt was embarrassed to ask for her meal to be made again, but the staff did so with smiles on their faces - they even came back three times to make sure everything was okay. We continued to have excellent service throughout our meal. Having worked in the service industry myself, I was very impressed that we were treated in such a professional manner. The food is really good! The atmosphere is inviting, the restaurant is very clean, the wait staff is attentive and polite, and the salad bar is fresh. Not a very nice place for seniors. They offer a free drink on only 5 different entrees then they really get generous if you want to add a salad they will give you $0.50 off. Spent $49 on two meals and the stake was barely edible. Service at the front counter when ordering was poor. read more

All the servers here are so friendly and make sure you're being taken care of. The place is so clean. I got the never ending salad bar thing and was surprised by how much I could get. To be honest I just thought it was only going to be salad. There was also a taco bar with vegetarian beans, guacamole, and Spanish rice, onion rings, soups like broccoli cheddar, Mac and cheese, and even soft serve ice cream. There were lots of things you could put on your salad and they all seemed fresh. Pretty cool! Kind of expensive though, like 12.99. I think one cool thing though was that if you were a vegetarian you could totally come here with your meat loving friends and both be satisfied. read more

My husband and I went there the other day with friends. We are all on different diets for medical reasons and this place was able to accommodate all of our restrictions. I personally had the endless salad bar. This alone could be dinner for someone. It was not only salads and fruits but there were also taco fixings, fried chicken, soups and of course, sweets. My husband ordered shrimp and steak. The steak actually came medium rare as he ordered. Most places now days only serve well done and burnt. Food is excellent. Love their steaks--always tender and juicy. They will accept a custom order of "no salt" if you ask. Staff and servers are great. Beef comes from the USA. I come here for lunch with two friend, we all got the salad bar buffet deals. the thing that alway bring me to there is the hot wings and the clam chowder, they are so good, got me hook the first time I came to sizzler in 1990. not every sizzler is the same, but this one is great, clean, food is good. also they have those delicious dinner roll with honey butter for appetizer. can't miss that. avoid prime time it could be to crowded. read more

My husband and I came to eat here and we ordered 2 steaks and lobsters one of our steaks was over cooked but the Manager Jose Sosa went above and beyond to make us feel valued and took care of us. Friendly staff, but I won't be coming here next time I have a craving for steak. I had the ribeye medium rare with sautéed spinach. When our food came out the ribeye was medium well. I kept the spinach and sent the steak back. We could hear our server yelling at the cook. I felt awkward because I was simply calm about it being over cooked. I ate my spinach while waiting for my steak. The sautéed spinach was really good! While my boyfriend finished his meal, my steak came back at the right temp but was really thin and low quality cut. We have always loved going here over the years and the last two times (including yesterday 8/13/21) were such a disappointment. I ordered the 6 oz steak and mashed potatoes and for 16.99 it was disappointing it didn't come with a cooked veggie. My steak was so little (which is fine if it's edible) and so full of gristle and no seasoning at all! The mashed potatoes were from a box and not fresh! Blah! My man ordered the salad bar and for $16.99 it was way over priced for a lot let hot items and dessert than there used to be. Seriously raising the price with way less offerings?!? Not worth the price. Also when bread was brought to the table we asked for rolls too, only to find out they aren't an option any more. Seriously?!? Get rid of the Texas toast with burned cheese on one side and bring back the rolls! The only reasons I gave it one star is because I had too and the side of sautéed mushrooms were the only thing good. Way overpriced for subpar food. Guess it's one more restaurant to be destroyed by the pandemic. We will not be back! read more

My previous experiences with Sizzlers have basically been for the salad bar, but today we ventured out and tried the Red White & Blue Special All you can eat riblets, for only $10.99. I figured, why not. I was kind of skeptical, wondering if that was code for rib-shaped mystery meat.... but to my surprise, they were pretty great! And a lot of them!! There was no room to ask for anymore than what we were originally served. Got baked potatoe, instead of fries, and corn on the cob. Beyond full - totally worth the price. BBQ sauce was sweet n tangy. So they did a complete remodel of this place and it is really nice inside now. The food is priced well and the quality is similar to what you would see at other chain restaurants. I would probably rank this place at 3 stars but they have a salad bar that is pretty good and my kids absolutely love it. Therefore I gave it a bonus star. I also love their all you can eat shrimp.
