Parking lot was lighted and felt safe on a Monday night. This Sizzler has that nostalgic feel from the 80's so I have fond memories when because their food is still great as it always been. I was really craving the Prime Rib (at any cost) and it delivered! It was cooked to perfection and had that fatty marble taste as only Sizzler can deliver. I'll be honest I didn't know sizzlers were still around. We spotted it on the way to the movies and we decided to check it out on the way back. Almost ironically, but we were happy we did they have the same salad bar they had when I was a kid And I haven't been a kid in like 30 years. They have a small spaghetti bar a small taco bar and they still have the ice cream machines. Don't forget the thick cheese toast They all serve everyone and I haven't even gotten to the meals you order, which is almost secondary to everything else, they still have those big red cups to fill up your sodas and the staff is really nice. Salad Bar was terrible. Taco shells are broken, wings are old and cold, pasta water filthy with no pasta, cucumbers 4 days old. Selection of toppings minimal, and not fresh looking. My son's burger over cooked and the onion tangles about the size of rice. Servers not attentive but, they want a tip. $15.29 for a full salad bars that maybe had enough palatable options to fill half a plate. You're ripping people off. read more

We wanted a reasonably priced steak/salad bar. This used to be the go to place. The prices seem to have gone up more than 50%. There were signs saying that due to supply shortages etc some of the things they normally have at the salad bar are not available. Ok, I get that, but maybe knock a few dollars off the price. I ordered the New York steak. For $22. I expected a delicious and tender steak. As I began cutting I thought maybe the knife was worn out, but when I started chewing I quickly realized that not only have the prices skyrocketed the quality of the food dropped drastically. If the quality has stayed the same as it was last time I was there I would not be writing this review. This dinner was about $25 more than when we went to Outback Steakhouse about a month ago. The only positive part of this meal was Emma. She was very friendly, came by to check on us the perfect frequency, always had a smile on her face and did her job well. This particular sizzler is the closest one to our home, so we're always dining at this location. I want to get straight to the point. Sizzler, What happened to your alcoholic beverages? I miss having a chardonnay with my steak and lobster! Every time I ask an employee, I'm always told there waiting on the license! At this point, it no longer concerns me. Because, in all actuality, I'm here for the food, and My steak was cooked to perfection, and the lobster was delicious. My wife insisted that I try the mango lemonade, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was very refreshing and not too sweet! I'm not a big Sizzler burger lover, as my wife's favorite is the Mega Bacon burger, no bacon, medium well. Well first of all my lovely wife and I used to go to the Sizzler in Roseville on Douglas Blvd a lot then it closed down, it was a shame as it was a great place. A few years passed and we found another Sizzler on Madison Ave in Sacramento but it wasn't as nice as and the employees were rude so we stopped going there. Just the other day i received a phone call saying that our monthly retirees luncheon was going to be there, i went and what a major change , great place employees couldn't be more nicer service was excellent as was the food, so yes we shall return again. I recall liking Sizzler before but it's been a bit of a disappointment. The salad bar here is super small and the food wasn't great. I also ordered the Italian herb chicken. The chicken was completely dry and over cooked on one side and ok on the other. I noticed the dry side was much thinner causing it to be over cooked in the process. The prepared caesar salad had clearly been sitting there a long time as the lettuce was soggy and unappetizing. Drinks here are completely self serve which was fine as it allowed us to fill our own empty cups. While we were here, we noticed there was only one server for the whole restaurant so we didn't see her much coming by our table. She was completely nice but just too busy for the whole place. The individual at the register was cold and seemed annoyed to be at work. Overall, I wouldn't come back here. Maybe a different Sizzler location might be better read more

My father-in-law accidentally walked into a floor to ceiling window thinking it was an exit. He cut his nose with bridge of his glasses and was bleeding everywhere. A diner who was a nurse got up and attended him - I went to the counter/ cash register area - told the cashier what had happened, asked for a bag of ice to possibly get ahead of any swelling. No-one- neither an employee or manager came over to see if there was any assistance was needed or asked if everything was ok. Tending to my father-in law and his injury went on for about 10 minutes. We ate here for my birthday last weekend because we were both craving steaks. I ordered the 20 oz. marinated NY sirloin strip steak and a baked potato, all the trimmings, with salad bar. She changed her mind and just had salad bar. The food was exellent. My steak was cooked exactly how I ordered it. Very little fat, gristle, etc. The salad bar was o.k., but I missed them having the Brocoli Cheese Soup. I just had the chicken noodle soup. It was good.The staff was great, no complaints there. Zero stars if I could. Customer service terrible! Managers don't care and employees don't care. I went in for an online order. I stood there for 10-15 minutes with absolutely zero help. All I had was a baked potato. When I finally stopped someone he said he didn't know. And I asked can I talk to someone that would know. He then whispered to the manager and she rolled her eyes and walked away. I ended up leaving this place without picking up my food. I then called later that day for a refund spoke with Tracy and left my contact information so the manager could call me back. never received a call back. Early afternoon the other day ......... I was hungry and saw a Sizzler on my right. I decided to give it a go. As I walked in, I soon remembered that it had probably been 20 years since I had last eaten at a Sizzler. After pursuing the menu, I opted for the salad bar. This was not necessarily the healthiest / best choice for me .... since I am trying to lose a pound or two. While there were plenty of green salad fixings, there were far too many other tempting - much less healthy - things to choose from. This included everything from tacos, nachos, spaghetti & chicken to ice cream. The food was presented in large quantities and looked reasonably appetizing. As far as taste .......... it was OK ....... very average / certainly nothing special. To no fault of their own I door dashed my family dinner, now it was already 7pm and was hoping to have my kids fed and in bed by 830. Well here comes my order, I get it off my porch all I have is a bag of condiments. Ugh..... I can't get ahold of door dash so I called Sizzler. Rebecca answered and totally handled the situation! She called door dash for me and got it fixed very quickly. I wish I could have tipped her instead of the 20$ tip I gave to my driver who wouldn't turn around to get my food that HE forgot Not sizzler. Sad. Salad bar hot food was all cold and old. Salad was good but that's pretty hard to goof up. Teeny flavorless steak, Malibu chicken was good but again, easy to make. Clam chowder was so cild, it didn't melt the cheese I put in. Dessert section shrunk down to just ice cream. For some reason, there was a spot for gravy even though there are bo potatoes. It's Sizzler, let's see how they're doing! Coming in here today was like old times.. except updated, lol.. not only the food and decor is updated, so are the prices! Dad got off work early and wanted tho get lunch. As you walk in, you walk up to a large menu on the wall, pick what you would like, then proceed in line to the registers and pay. It seems to be a technique that has worked for Sizzler for many years! My dad's got the ribeye steak(medium) with fries, I got the sirloin(medium rare) with parmesan shrimp n baked potato, and my daughter got fish & chip's. We were then turned loose to pick out table. Who doesn't love a booth! Our waitress arrived, and she was definitely busy. Found out she and only 1 other waitress were bustin they're butts on the floor! When our food arrived, dads was cooked a little more, my daughters was a 2 pieces of fish & fries, and I think I got someone else's plate.. my steak was well done with fries. I don't think it helps when the cooks are cutting down the center of the meat to check the temperature... I did let our waitress know and she was super nice about getting it replaced asap. When I got my plate replaced, my steak seem like it barely touched the grill and was cooked rare. I'm okay with rare, so I started to eat it. I noticed again that there was a cut down the middle of the steak. Annoying. Unfortunately, this particular sirloin have so much gristle in it I couldn't finish it. After letting the waitress know, it took about 10 min for a manager to come by.. yes, I know it was busy, so I appreciated him making a stop. He gave us a $15 credit.. I came in today to use the takeout service for my free birthday burger. It was cooked correctly and still hot and juicy when I got home. The grill marks were easily tasted unfortunately. The fries were decent but unsalted. Overall I can't complain, since, it was free. LOL read more
