This place is always a treat to visit. Sizzler is a little overpriced, but the food is very good. I never expect to get such killer steak at Sizzler, but the steak I had tonight was better than the $30 ribeye I had a 5-star joint on the beach last night in SoCal. My friend and I went here the other night and it was like any other sizzler you basically get what you pay for. The service is good the cashier and wait staff were really nice. I ordered the steak and chicken with baked potato. The chicken was good, the steak was ok, the potato was a bit under cooked. They serve rolls now instead of the cheesy garlic bread? wahhh it was greasy and under done. My friend got the salad bar (might try this next time I go) She was pleased with the variety of salads and considering we went about 8:30 they kept on top of the salad bar with the refills. I tried one of her chicken wings, good flavor but wayyyyyy too greasy. I also tried some clam chowder too fishy smelling for me and I love clam chowder. Salad bar was empty at 5:15 when we walked in, mentioned it to cashier and she'd have someone look at it....took awhile, the specialty salads NEVER got replenished entire time we were here. No cones for ice cream, had to use bowls and they had no toppings, salad bar was skimpy. Spaghetti noodles views too bottom of pan, took awhile to get fresh, no meatballs here. Caesar salad wilted old and just mush. While we were waiting to order the cashier took a phone call.....a woman and man came up, walked I didn't of us, cashier gets off phone and take their order. My husband got salad, but didn't notice until it was on his plate that it contained nuts; My son is allergic. He asked one the staff for a new plate and they had no problem accommodating him. 1 stars for Salad Bar: The salad bar needs to be checked more often. The caesar salad was almost empty and whatever was left was all wilted. There was another salad that the lettuce was already changing color from being out too long. Ok so the wife, daughter and her boyfriend all came back for the second chance management asked us to give them. Well you guessed it Inez waited on us again to my dismay. My steak n lobster came and my steak was well done and tasted old. My daughters boyfriend had the ribs and he did not finish them, the ribs were overcooked and hard. My daughters plate never showed up...it actually sat on the counter for just under 5 minutes while Inez spoke to the customers next to us about her family, were she lives, etc. I had to go up to another waitress at the counter to get my daughter her food. Bottom line she truly has no place working at a place of this volume, she might be better off working at a fast food place behind the counter! Update well we left to go to our car and to our surprise Inez yelled out of the side door at my wife and I screaming thank you while waiving the receipt. To be fair my daughter wrote on the back of receipt if you want a tip next time pay attention to your customers. Haven't had sizzlers in years. Came here on a Saturday night and the place was a full house. Their food is very affordable and is like most American restaurants. I had the shrimp scampi which I will ask for no chili flakes next time! But I love how creamy it was. Came with about a dozen shrimps. My boyfriend had the 8oz steak with unlimited shrimp. Charged us $1 extra for onions. $1 extra for mushrooms $2 extra for the steak upgrade and $2 extra to have the baked potato loaded. So his mean went from being 20... To... $26 for those extras which weren't really much. Overall the food was good and not pricy! Our waitress was really nice. I believe her name was margarita. She's the Pilipino woman. I had the 6 oz. steak (medium rare) with an unlimited trip to the salad bar and a Pepsi. Alex K. had the steak (rare ) and endless shrimp and trip to the salad bar. Our server welcomed us and off we were to the salad bar and hot appetizers; the clam chowder is pretty good here but I wish they had oyster crackers or AT LEAST edible pieces of bread to eat with it the one I picked up was rock solid. The salad was plentiful and there was spaghetti, meatballs and tacos yum! When our food was served I noticed that my medium rare steak was in fact more cooked than I had thought, Alex was lucky his raw steak was indeed raw. I found my steak to be a little tough and dry, nothing a little steak sauce can't help. It took a while for our waitress to refill Alex's shrimp, about 15-20 minutes to get them after desperately flagging her down. Hell, we heard the table beside us get so frustrated they had to call the manager about the bad service. One thing that stood out the most during our meal, the silence- no it is not from running out of things to say but rather that Alex K. loved this place and inside for some reason I knew he would. Marietta is an exceptional server Quick, friendly and her accuracy is Exceptional ! I enjoy the food I'm very observant I noticed Marietta never leaves the customers food on the counter after its been prepared, my food is always delicious and warm. She swings by the customer's tables at least 3 to 4 times to ask is everything okay. Other servers walk up to my table bring me bread and the majority they bring my food out cold and thats it! We came in 20 minutes before they closed. We ordered the surf and turf on the cashier counter and then sat ourselves. We were served two kinds of bread as we waited for our food. They were warm, fresh and delicious! The stuff and turf with the 8oz steak was a great deal as it served two people. The servers were really friendly and attentive. My mom and I came to sizzlers (been awhile since covid). Came in and about to order, manager came up and said if we can wait about 8 mins cause kitchen is backed up(understandable). Finally ordered and got the food, my mom ordered bbq and chicken. I ordered the tri tip. The BBQ was good but once my mom got to the chicken, it was undercooked. Spoke to the manager, was able to get it fix. Tri-tip is ok, but eh Point being said, even if you are backed up. Need to pay attention to other customers ordered too read more

I have to do a shout out for Emily who is a server at Sizzler. The other day I had a lunch date and the cashier was late. Rather than have us wait outside, she let us in and we were able to order our food, and then we paid once they were able to find someone who could run the register. Emily and the team really went above and beyond in serving us. She took our order, then served us and made sure we had everything we needed. This place is a joke!! If you look at the menu and order the ultimate bacon burger because the picture has a pile of bacon on it, don't expect to get that. You get 3 measly pieces of bacon and thats it. Asked the manager what the scoop was and why my burger doesn't look even close to the picture and his response was, we can't make it look like the picture. That's all it is. No apologies, no would you like me to take it back. Just basically shove it. You get what we give you. The young ladies Chloe and Amelia that takes your order is awesome i have to admit. I ordered medium rare steak with a shrimp scampi but the steak was chewy, flavorless, and rock hard. The scampi, on the other hand was just alfredo, nothing special. We went to eat & enjoy our lunch/dinner was doing good with Michelle ( Cashier) and she took our order and then we had another lady pick up our ticket & two guys came and delivered the food. Than I saw that I didn't get my veggies & went to the guy & asked him if I could have something so he came to the table and he asked to see my receipt & I showed him that I ordered a side of veggies. So he went and did whatever & then he delivered food to another table. Than I saw him go by the cashiers, than he answered the phone ( mind you at this point and time I had no idea he was the manager of Sizzlers) he never brought me my veggies & the 3rd time me asking for the veggies ... he looked at me like a deer in headlights well, I demanded for two sodas and credit on my food & I never got the veggies! He could of asked one of the waiters or waitresses to assist us... this is such shitty service. I get that they were semi busy but not enough to leave me and my party. Waiting 10-15 extra for any response is crap. He needs to handle his priorities better & if he is that busy assign someone to take care of people! Love this place, but not a lot of choices but you have to order anything that has the endless salad bar. The endless salad bar not only has salad but they have nachos, pasta, and Mexican food tray where you can create tacos and tostadas. I usually order an 10 oz steak with endless shrimp and it comes with bread and baked potato, can't go wrong with this. The salmon I would stay away from cuz it is really dry. This place is disgusting. Period. When you walk in, you can see all over the floor that the pigs who come here spill their food all over the place. To top it off, the staff looks like they're too busy putting out all the food that's literally sitting there for hours on end in these clear containers to the side of the light lamps. Went here for the first time and needless to say, I love this place! I haven't even ate yet, but the service here is IMMACULATE. I enjoy seeing the reflection on the ceiling, and I cannot believe the soda here is free! The lady that served us is Jenny, and she is the best host I have ever met. Sizzler (aka Sizzla) is suffering. Why is it still open? It's GHETTO. Still, I give it a whopping 3 stars not for the food but for the good ol' memories. Every time I drive by San Jose to visit the folks, I drive by the Sizzla and, damn, it looks the same. My confession is that I haven't been back in over 10 years. All I remember is that when my brother and I were wee kiddies, my parents would remind us that if we did well in school (get our straight A's - good ol' Asian kids, we were), we'd get to go to dinner at Sizzla. Given my low brow taste then (I was a kid then, what did I know?), the Sizzla was a huge treat! There was a terrible salad bar, which accompanied our dry ass chicken and oversalted rice pilaf. Still, my brother and I were all smiles. And my loving parents, who didn't know any better, were all smiles too. We got the straight A's and they were two parents who were able to show us a "good" American meal! Three stars for the memories...but you can't pay me to eat that food these days! read more

I remember always coming here as a kid, but now the service and food has gone down hill. Reasons why I dislike this place: The food potions aren't like what they use to be. The steak is super small and doesn't taste so good. The famous chicken wings are no longer part of the salad bar. You have to order them as an appetizer. The service here also isn't as good as it use to be. There are some good waiters and waitresses, but their the ones that have worked there for years. I've had two really bad experiences here, and now for sure I will not eat here again. I don't recommend this place to any one. There is better Malibu chicken elsewhere. read more

I'd give 5 stars if we're talking about their salad bar, in which I'm only ordering next time I'm at a Sizzler. Just save your money and get full on their endless salad bar, because it includes soup AND the appetizer bar (tacos, nachos, etc.). I've had the salmon entrée twice (once as take-out, and more recently, dine-in). The take-out order was pretty good, but my second time having it was a let-down. For some reason, it was really, really bland the second time around. The vegetables are even more bland. However, they did cook the fish perfectly both times. My poor dad's chicken was the most miniscule-looking portion I'd ever seen at a steakhouse. It was seriously smaller than the size of my fist, and I have tiny hands. When he made a comment to our server, she just shrugged it off with a nervous smile (I know it wasn't her fault... it's not like she cooked it). Good thing my dad had the endless salad bar to fill him up. There's friendly, attentive service, and then there's OVERLY attentive service. I don't need you to ask me how I'm doing every time you walk by my table. It's overkill and, sorry, annoying, no matter how sweet you are. Today was a HOT MESS, especially during the lunch hour. They had one person busting tables for the entire lunch shift. None of the servers pitched in to clean their own zones which is sad, because they could've earned more money in tips by having tables available. Service: Our server never introduced himself. He simply grabbed our receipt and ran. He never checked on us and we had to ask for several things: refills on water, butter, refills on the endless shrimp. Food: Steak was cooked properly, so that was good. The shrimp were cold along with the potato wedges. On top of that, after dropping the food off, he ran off without ever checking on us. When we flagged him down and explained about the fries, he ended each sentence with, "is that all?" He prayed this at least 3x's - sorry Mr Server. We only expected our food to be what and how we ordered it, mainly Hot. Location: It's in dyer need of a renovation. The carpets are stained and worn. You can actually see the stains and vacuum marks from the years of cleaning. The booths are so worn that the designs are worn black. In all fairness, I understand the service varies from server to server, however I did take that into consideration when giving them 2 stars. Those stars are from my previous experiences here which were positive. The food is hard to complain about, because I also understand that this is on the same level as a "Denny's" so my only real expectation is simply "hot" food. read more
