I remember always coming here as a kid, but now the service and food has gone down hill. Reasons why I dislike this place: The food potions aren't like what they use to be. The steak is super small and doesn't taste so good. The famous chicken wings are no longer part of the salad bar. You have to order them as an appetizer. The service here also isn't as good as it use to be. There are some good waiters and waitresses, but their the ones that have worked there for years. I've had two really bad experiences here, and now for sure I will not eat here again. I don't recommend this place to any one. There is better Malibu chicken elsewhere. read more

I'd give 5 stars if we're talking about their salad bar, in which I'm only ordering next time I'm at a Sizzler. Just save your money and get full on their endless salad bar, because it includes soup AND the appetizer bar (tacos, nachos, etc.). I've had the salmon entrée twice (once as take-out, and more recently, dine-in). The take-out order was pretty good, but my second time having it was a let-down. For some reason, it was really, really bland the second time around. The vegetables are even more bland. However, they did cook the fish perfectly both times. My poor dad's chicken was the most miniscule-looking portion I'd ever seen at a steakhouse. It was seriously smaller than the size of my fist, and I have tiny hands. When he made a comment to our server, she just shrugged it off with a nervous smile (I know it wasn't her fault... it's not like she cooked it). Good thing my dad had the endless salad bar to fill him up. There's friendly, attentive service, and then there's OVERLY attentive service. I don't need you to ask me how I'm doing every time you walk by my table. It's overkill and, sorry, annoying, no matter how sweet you are. Today was a HOT MESS, especially during the lunch hour. They had one person busting tables for the entire lunch shift. None of the servers pitched in to clean their own zones which is sad, because they could've earned more money in tips by having tables available. Service: Our server never introduced himself. He simply grabbed our receipt and ran. He never checked on us and we had to ask for several things: refills on water, butter, refills on the endless shrimp. Food: Steak was cooked properly, so that was good. The shrimp were cold along with the potato wedges. On top of that, after dropping the food off, he ran off without ever checking on us. When we flagged him down and explained about the fries, he ended each sentence with, "is that all?" He prayed this at least 3x's - sorry Mr Server. We only expected our food to be what and how we ordered it, mainly Hot. Location: It's in dyer need of a renovation. The carpets are stained and worn. You can actually see the stains and vacuum marks from the years of cleaning. The booths are so worn that the designs are worn black. In all fairness, I understand the service varies from server to server, however I did take that into consideration when giving them 2 stars. Those stars are from my previous experiences here which were positive. I went here yesterday, and I have to say that I wasn't a fan. There were a number of factors that contributed to this. Wait Time: - I believe we had to wait up to an hour in line. I was expecting the lines everywhere, because of Mother's Day, but not this bad. - In the line, it feels extremely claustrophobic with minimal airflow. I'm still not entirely sure if this intentional or not, but either way it was effective because I was hungry and thirsty by the time I made it to the front. Food: - I ordered an 8oz New York Strip w/Fries for $15.99(?) w/the salad buffet added on for $5.99. - The steak had the actual grill-marks you would see in a commercial, and actually tasted pretty good, but unfortunately half of it consisted of fat or gristle. - The fries were okay. I wish there was a bigger portion. - The salad buffet seemed like a hit and miss. I actually found the salad ingredients to be fresh, but when you get to the dressings, you see about 4 different dressings mixed in the Italian dressing. That was so off-putting because it showed that they weren't keeping up the cleanliness standards. - My favorite was probably the ice cream station. I mean who can mess up an ice cream machine, right? Wow. WOW. What happened?!?! I came here yesterday with a party of 6 and the first thing I noticed: $9.99 for unlimited salad bar. WHAT?! Last time I checked it was $7.99! Ah wells. While we were waiting in line, someone in our group was asking questions about a certain dish. The manager was kind enough to bring out a sample of the sauce :D After ordering, we walked our plates over to a table. The floor was disgusting. Don't they ever clean it? As soon as we got seated, we made our way to the salad bar. I wanted to take advantage of the Mexican food, but was disgusted when I saw a piece of chicken in the pasta sauce. Really? We were served the dinners rolls and had to ASK for the cheesy bread. Whatever happened to serving the cheesy bread as a default appetizer?! The waitress brought out more plates for the salad bar, but didn't even bother to take away the plates we used. We ran out of space and she NEVER came back to our table to check up on us. She only came to do "errands" like bring us cheesy bread, bring us plates, tell us they were turning off the soft-serve machine, etc. I would give it a 1, but they were really friendly. Wanted to try something new but this was not the place. First off, yes its Sizzlers, what did i expect? More fried foods and your typical American food restaurant. You also pay for your food at the counter before being seated. My girlfriend and I decided to try this place out for dinner and it wasnt too bad aside from the service. At first we had a waiter who was polite and seemed enthusiastic so that was a plus, however, he had to leave since his shift was over. Assuring that we would get another waiter to replace him, he left us. But after waiting for about 25 minutes, we never got anyone as a replacement. I went up to another one of the waitresses walking around and decided to ask for a togo box since we were done, however i was met with attitude as she asked me where my waiter was. I told her that he had left, we were supposed to get another one but never did and all i needed was a togo box. Instead, she told me to return to my seat and wait. Aside from the service the food was definately worth the money. I ordered the unlimited shrimp platter and it came with an empty plate in which you can take to the salad bar for salad or "hot appetizers" which were tacos, fried chicken, spaghetti and tortilla chips. My bf's tater was white and fluffy. He said he'd trade me but he'd already doused it with butter and a ton of pepper. He said he likes potatoes like the one I got served - yuk! Well, to each his own. The shift manager Jazmine who was cashiering was very impatient in explaining the service style of the restaurant. I came here last night with my husband, mom, grandma and son. All of us just got the all-you-can-eat salad bar. The salad bar was full of fresh ingredients, it was well-stocked and it was still clean, even after the dinner rush. I love the Texas Garlic toast that comes with the salad bar. My husband and grandma said the clam chowder was really good, and they're both pretty picky about chowder, especially my grandma that used to have a commercial fishing boat, loves seafood and lives on the coast, so plus a star for that! I used to love this place. You can order an entree with all you can eat salad bar, and take the entree home for dinner. $12 gets you a solid lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, they took away the best part of the salad bar, which was the chicken wings. And their clam chowder has been really hit or miss as of late. It's not that all Sizzler restaurants are bad. But this one is. Everyone says that they're giving it more than 1 star "for the memories". Yeah, well, that's for those of us who grew up with it when it was in slightly better conditions in the 90s. The 90s are over and it just continually gets worse. At the moment while you're eating there today, would you rather have a good meal in front of you, or in your mind as you reminisce how decent it used to be? Again, not all Sizzler restaurants are bad. Last year, I'd gone on a trip to FL with my school's band, and a few friends and I went to eat at a Sizzler right across from our hotel. I was so surprised of its wider variety on its menu and its salad bar and how its overall taste was better. This Sizzler location is located off of Capitol Expressway and Aborn Avenue. It sits off a parking lot by itself so parking is usually available. Rather than the parking, it is the service though will more than likely make you not want to return. This is set up like a typical Sizzler location, you enter and place your order before being seated. Once seated you have the option to use the salad bar (if you purchased it) or you simply wait for your meal to arrive. The salad bar and dessert bar were in poor shape. The veggies didn't look fresh and looked like they had been out for days. The dessert bar wasn't much better. Our steak and shrimp were tough, baked potatos too dry and sides too wilted. Full disclosure: it had been a VERY long time since I'd been to Sizzler, because the last time I went I was far from impressed. But my friends offered to buy my dinner if I came with them, so I was willing to give it another try. We all got the buffet, which amounts to 40 types of salad, 3 kinds of soup, fried chicken wings, taco fixings, garlic bread, onion rings and spaghetti & meatballs. Except, they were out of garlic bread and taco shells, so you had to dump fixings on some tortilla crumbs. Honestly, I did give it a shot. And the rolls were fantastic. The best thing I ate was a hot buttered roll, that was similar to the rolls at Texas Roadhouse but not as sweet. The caesar salad was thoroughly average. The Sicilian salad wasn't bad. I passed on the taco fixings because the meat looked like the dregs that had been sitting in oil for a while. The spaghetti and meatballs were fine if you like overcooked noodles and Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee meatballs. The fruit was good, and the sundae bar featured no chocolate (broken), but had vanilla, nuts, mini-chips and a sticky bottle with a bit of chocolate syrup in it. I ate enough to get full, but I can definitively say that if I'd had to pay for it, I would have felt disappointed. Lukewarm chicken wings and onion rings are fine when you're 300 lbs and just want many food-like things to eat, but not when things like freshness and flavor are kind of important. If buffets are dear to your heart, go to Sweet Tomatoes instead. You'll lose some of the meat options (not much of a loss considering), but you'll gain tons of quality in salads and soups, plus their buffet has potatoes, actual desserts, free milk/lemonade refills and occasionally other things like pizza. read more

I liked the salad bar specially the wings, but not the way it is now. The wings are more beaded with very little meat and darker. Flavor is not the same because it's a deferent controlled design to make you full. Also no more selections with the salad bar option. Just one and it's the steak skewered over rice and a choice of fries or bake potatoes. The tacos are the same. I go to sizzler for the endless wings. It's not the first time they have contemplated about stopping this phenomenon. A couple years back, I stop taking my family and relatives because it wasn't available anymore but then they learned it was popular with the customers. Steaks were very very small and I'm not sure if they measure before cooking or after cooking but whatever they did they only gave us half of what could have been 8 ounces. We also were there celebrating my dad's 70th birthday and the waitress said they would be by to sind him happy birthday but they never did even though there were plenty of other happy birthdays going on. I personally love a good medium rare steak and my boyfriend ordered his medium and it was so undercooked that I am not even sure if I would eat it. The bread was tasty hence for the extra star and our waitress was taking care of 6 plus tables without help from the other servers. Not really very amused. My family and I have been coming here for years! We have seen the place go through renovations and changing the menu. I love love love the chicken Malibu! They steaks have been on point recently. I have to admit, the steaks were not all that great in the past but they have upped their game. The infamous clam chowder is worth the trip! Best in the area hands down. Don't believe me? Gotta try it! Whenever I go with my nephew, brother and boyfriend they always get the unlimited shrimp. We try to get either Jenny or Marietta for our servers because they hook it up! So we paid about $14 each when it should have been $11. We walk in and we have never been to sizzles before. The first thing I notice is there are only 3 plates out on the table where you gather your soup bowl and other necessities. All three had either sauce, crumbs or oily substances on them. Gross!! The only positive to this experience is our waitress was kind regardless of how unorganized this place is run. She checked on us and the spinach was alright. But none of the dressings were labelled so it was a guessing game. Almost nothing is labelled. I didn't expect to spend almost $27 for 2 salads and a small bowl of soup.
