I go here 4 to 6 times a year. the food is great always. I have never been to a single Sizzler and had bad food.

Two words. Salad bar. Ok, maybe a few more words.... I have a deep passion for a good salad. And by good, I mean hearty. Shaved fennel topped with truffled goosehead may get some people all hot and bothered, but I need the simple things. Some dark, leafy greens... tomatoes.... maybe a few scoops of those peas... ohhh look broccoli, gotsta have me somma that... garbanzos and kidney beans... mm beets.... and yes, when I am enjoying the lunchtime bargain that is Sizzler's AYCE salad bar, I forgo the healthier choices for some good ol- ranch dressing. And then I always supplement my salad with their crack-laced cheese bread and I am a happy, bloated girl. I usually go pretty early for lunch, so everything looks pretty fresh. Service is always attentive and I have yet to experience any annoying patrons (speaking only for weekday lunchtime; can't necessarily vouch for any other times). Just to reiterate... if you're looking for fancy salads (read: foie gras and rampicante squash vinagrette), not the place for you. Heartier salads (which you can go back for again and again)... Sizzler. Do it. read more

I've been here before and always enjoyed it. The prices usually are slightly on the high side, but the place is nice. I was here again back on business and I got food poisoning. I called and told them but they said no one else got it and the manager never called me back. The only thing I had different was the lobster tail. Usually go to lunch at Sizzler but never dinner. Had my first dinner here the other night. Ordered the 6 oz sirloin, medium rare, with fries. Absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced at $7.99. We went to this location because my 73 year old mother loves Sizzlers and it was her birthday. However, it was the worst visit I have EVER experienced with them. First of all the Ultimate Salad bar Is a complete joke. They used to offer chicken wings and actual Desserts, like apple crisp or peach crisp. However, they only offer a very cheap and unassuming chicken nugget and soft serve ice cream that lacks toppings.. The salad bar itself was mediocre but the normal additions were lacking severely. All of the containers were empty and the staff seemed thin. They did not appear to have enough staffing to efficiently run the business.. Additionally, my husband was consuming his clam chowder and came across a huge piece of cut plastic within the chowder. Which almost choked him. Although management did their best to compensate us, it was Inadequate. I recommend that this location revamp their menu, eliminate the ultimate salad bar or reduce the cost for the ultimate salad bar. Honestly, the cost of $16.99 is extremely over priced for what you get. Additionally, we did not receive any famous cheese Texas toast. Needless to say, I was EXTREMELY disappointed. This place does not give you the quality for the price you are paying. My order looked like they just threw pre-made food on my plate presentation was terrible. I remember eating at Sizzler as a kid and over the years as young adult. Then for a brief time, Sizzler was closed in this area all together. I prefer the way Sizzler used to be years past, but find it acceptable for what it is today. The food now always seems constant, the service is ok I have experienced better for sure. I've been to this Sizzler twice so far and my experience has been great. I love the selection at the salad bar as well as the hot entrees such as wings, tacos, potato skins, and onion rings. I ordered the steak and lobster along with the salad bar. I didn't expect much but was surprisingly pleased. The steak was tender and cooked to my liking and the lobster was cooked nicely as well. I can honestly say that I enjoyed the food. The service was good as well. The waiter checked on me periodically to see if I needed anything which was helpful because I was there with my two kids. Overall, the value of the meal should set the expectation of what you get. I think it is fairly priced for the quality of food they provide. read more

Truly remarkable! We were there yesterday, on Christmas day, and the line was out the door for the entire time we were there! Obviously, we aren't the only ones in Stockton who know this secret! We are absolutely AMAZED with this Sizzler... we hadn't been to one in decades and stopped in last month and were so pleasantly surprised with their incredible, freshly-stocked and delicious Salad Bar items! Then the food arrived and the steaks and lobster were so yummy! The place is so well-run by the Managers and the Staff are all absolutely phenomenal at what they do... and they do it so well. Each and every one works hard and diligently in catering to their customers. We will be coming back probably every week from now on! We are hooked! I think people like Sizzler because it's unending food. But for me, going by myself, it's shockingly expensive. Nothing under 12.99 on the menu and most things are 15.99 and up. So I ordered the bourbon peppercorn beef over mashed potatoes. I got a piece of saturated toast (in butter) but it tasted good because I was really hungry. Then the entree came. The gravy sauce was a packaged mix, the mushrooms were not fresh but canned...ugh, I hate canned mushrooms, and the beef was cooked like I wanted it but tough. There were 3 small pieces of red bell pepper on the plate. I wondered why. I think it's the last time I will eat at Sizzler. A disappointing waste of money. The food was good but I want to compliment our server, Breanna, who served us with utmost respect and dignity. She was extremely conscious of our needs and met each one. Enjoy the salad bar, lots of items and other food choices included. I always make a gigantic plate of salad with most of the fixins' and three types of dressings on 3 sections. Separate is the fake crab, the chopped broccoli with nuts and raisins (yum!) and fresh fruit or Ambrosia. Usually have clam chowder, a few pieces of chicken and/or onion rings. Oh, and the garlic bread! Don't care for the taco bar too much. And I have jello for dessert. Why not 5 stars? $10.99 for seniors is steep for a salad bar. I was highly impressed. Everything looked very nice, clean and beautiful. The bathrooms were kept maintained and so was the ayce salad/soup/dessert bar. Kids meals were a little pricey but well worth it. Most of the food was tasty. For most of the food being homemade, unlike most ayce salad and soup bars, I was very disappointed in the macaroni and potato salad. I want them to taste fresh, not extremely sweet where it tasted processed. I'm not quite sure who was my server since the staff was very helpful and patient with everything. The soups were perfect. One of the top clam chowder and minestrone vegetable soups I've ever had. I also tried the spinach salad with fruit and the kale mint salad for the first time and they tasted amazing. You could get a burger meal that comes with one side and the ayce for about !$10, less than paying for the ayce alone (about $12). The salad bar also included potato sticks, onion rings, fried wings, and tacos that actually tasted good. Another plus was they actually served sweet, ripe fruit. Their best deals are the dinner plates that come with the unlimited salad bar for $9.99-ish (-ish because you can upgrade the deal to different dinners for a couple dollars more). Included in the salad bar are soups, taco station, some finger foods like chicken wings, dessert and ice cream. Look for their coupons in mail! Our family loves Sizzler! It's especially wonderful when we get Ruben as our waiter. He makes the whole experience so much more special. We feel like an old friend is taking care of us. We had a not so good experience tonight. We found a hair in our salad and we found a hair in the bread we were served. I told our server about both issues. She took away the bread and said she would let her manager know. We didn't hear anything more about it. The manager never came and checked on us nor to find out if we wanted anything else. Table had food on it and they had to wipe it twice. While the table was still wet they put my silverware and napkin on a wet surface. The food took a long time. They finally brought the steak out, the steak appear to be cooked okay, but the steak was cold. The potato was hot. 15 minutes later the waitress came back and asked if the food was okay.
