    Pepperoni pizza with pesto sauce

Went for the labor pizza and even thought it didn't work for me, I had a wonder experience. Staff was welcoming and helpful, gave us some recommendations on the menu and they did not disappoint. Not a lot of customers when we went but still had an amazing vibe. Didn't take pictures of the rest of the food we ordered but everything was so good!! Definitely recommend!!

This would be a repeat place for me if I lived in Walnut Creek. The interior is large, and there's outdoor seating too. While the tables and chairs are a little on the old side, service is fantastic and speedy. You can tell from the picture that we chose the Prego Pizza for its magical powers and while it didn't fully do the trick, it was still nice to get a huge combo pizza. They definitely don't skimp on any ingredients, and the pizzas are made to order. We had a good time and would definitely return.

Prego Pizza! Ordered for pickup and was on time This pizza had a lot of toppings, so much meat and I appreciated the extra onions and garlic. It's the kind of pizza you'd eat with a fork and knife because the center kind of breaks down, which is fine by me, if rather have the pizza loaded. Overall it was a hearty tasty pizza, however there were some spots that were intermittently super salty , so the slices weren't very consistent in terms of taste I'm still pregnant (39+6) and it didn't induce labor these past few days for me but it's a fun idea! Back to walking I go

We went here for dinner to try the preggo pizza. We were seated pretty quickly for a party of 8, the staff were nice and accommodating. This place is pretty big with a large outdoor seating in the back. We got the spinach dip and soup of the day as appetizers. We got the preggo pizza and the margarita pizza. Both were really good. I'd recommend coming here.

It's a family tradition of ours to come here when we are pregnant for the prego pizza. I had this pizza with both of my pregnancies. With my first I did go in to labor 2 days after. With my 2nd I didn't go into labor until a week later. It's just fun to go and celebrate the baby and eat delicious prego pizza. The prego pizza has so many toppings and is so delicious! I also love the house salad! It has beets, garbanzo beans, onions and your choice of dressing. Kids also get to build their own pizza. My kids chose to make their own with cheese and olives. They love making their own creation! The inside is very calm, warm and inviting. The parking is a bit of a hassle. There isn't a lot of street parking and there is a parking garage around the corner. We can't wait to come back!

Put to the test and passed.

Okay.... my wife was late for her due date so we decided to check this legendary preggo pizza. There is no science behind this but it freaking worked! Day: Breakfast with wife. Morning hike. Preggo pizza for lunch Walk. Light dinner Walk 3AM. Here comes baby. The pizza itself was pretty darn good. My two year old really liked it and so did my wife. Again, I'm sure there needs to be more data to come to a scientific conclusion that one would accept. But it freaking worked! Thanks Skipolini's!

We took our son and his buddies here for his Birthday dinner and it was a huge success. We found the service to be exceptional. I had to switch our reservations a few times and they did it without any questions asked. We sat in the back patio which was a great spot since we had some happy, excited, full of energy young boys with us. The service was great! Our waitress was very attentive and checked in quite frequently. The pizza was good, not great as usual. We ordered a few large pizzas and found it to have too much red sauce and not enough cheese. Overall, we had a fantastic time and we love Skips and will definitely be back!

    Mmmm, the combo

Best pesto pasta i've ever had in my life!…read more I've always underestimated this spot since it never looked authentic enough for my taste, but my friends insisted I go with them one night for dinner. We ordered the vodka al forno, alfredo, and pesto mandilli. The pesto pasta was in a shape that caught the rich creamy pesto so well, and paired with the chicken I ordered on top, absolutely delicious!!! Would go here again definitely.

I ordered the fried spaghetti as an appetizer, a chicken Caesar salad, the Chicken Marsala for my entrée, and an espresso martini. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our server, Brittany, was friendly, personable, and took responsibility when there was a delay in service. I asked for a bowl of water for my dog as soon as we were seated, but it took about 20 minutes before it was brought to the table and our order was taken. She sincerely apologized, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I've experienced similar delays with other servers during previous visits. I also noticed the bartender place coffee beans into an espresso martini using her bare hands. Although I didn't say anything at the time, it made me uncomfortable from a hygiene standpoint. When I ordered another drink, Brittany used a utensil to place the coffee beans into the drink, which I felt was much more appropriate. Overall, the food was outstanding, as always, and that's what keeps me coming back. I hope the restaurant improves its service times and reinforces proper food handling practices so every guest can enjoy the same great dining experience.

Made a note to stop by after a very thorough Yelp search. The slices of pizzas look amazing and I enjoy New York style since it's the absolute perfect ratio for topping lovers. I was originally planning to have pizza dinner on a Friday night but was already in downtown Walnut Creek. Decided to stop in. Upon entry all of the staff, from the chefs to the gentleman behind the counter were in good moods. Definitely a great sign of the good that was to come. The person who helped me with my order (sorry I didn't get your name) was super cool. Ended up leaving with three slices of pizza. Now if you know dtwc, you know there are countless options for pizzas and Italian food. I would still urge you to try panCoast. Great vibes with a small business feel. It offers fantastic options, by-the-slice, and you can totally taste the fresh ingredients. Totally thrilled with this discovery!

The garlic knots are also delicious as well and the service is really good too. The staff are all very nice and the ambiance has good decorations and a comfortable setting. While the prices are a bit high, it still is worth checking this place out for the pizza and other items. But for sure the pizza is the best in California.

Tomatina of Walnut Creek was unfortunately a disappointment…read more My spouse and I came to Walnut Creek with plans to grab dinner. We originally planned to grab boba and eat at a different restaurant but when we parked the smell in the air called us to Tomatina instead. We originally came in and the older gentleman said they couldn't seat us right away and to come back in 20 minutes. We didn't mind and took a walk around the block and was seated right away when we returned and he brought us menus. A waiter came and was friendly, making sure he got the order correct. It seemed like he may have been in training. We decided to each get a lemonade, share the meatball appetizer, I ordered the pasta trio and my husband ordered the chicken parmesan. The meal started out nice with the drinks immediately coming out and the appetizer shortly after. The drinks were good, however they were out of pint glasses and came in a collins glass instead. The waiter mentioned the lack of pints and the smaller glass calling it fancy but didn't reference if we'd get a discount or a refill due to the smaller portion as a result of the glass switch. The meatballs were tender and had a good flavor. The sauce was nice and the bread was serviceable. After we finished our appetizer, there was a lack in service for at least 15 minutes. They did not clear the dirty dishes, offer water, or provide any type of check in. While we waited, my spouse had noticed a pasta entree (and a salad) was put up and was placed on top of a pizza box. He didnt think much of it until we started to realize we had been waiting longer than felt appropriate and noticed it was 3 different colors, like you'd expect for a pasta trio like I had ordered. Eventually the pasta was removed and we gave the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't my food that had been sitting out for at at least 10 minutes and they were just slow. A few minutes later, a waitress brought our entrees and they finally cleared the appetizer plates. I took my first bite and my food was cold. Not it cooled down but was still kinda warm, any food that was exposed to air was physically cold to the touch. My husband tried to flag the waitress down that delivered the food and her and another worker were talking and looking at their register with no awareness of the rest of the room. Given the service thus far, I just got up with the food and walked it over. I explained it was cold to the point where I said she could touch it (I proceeded to touch a noodle) and it's obviously too cold to be served. She apologized and said she talk the the cook/chef. My spouse watched as she went with my cold plate to the open kitchen and it was clear that she explained I said it was cold but they were not planning on remaking it and just reheating it. A trio of pastas with 3 different sauces would not be reheated in a pan so the assumption is there would be a microwave involved. My spouse got up and approached the cook and waitress that reheating the pasta was unacceptable because if we wanted reheated pasta, we could get something from a freezer section grocery store. At this point the waitress seemed shocked that we'd say anything about them choosing to just reheat the food. After a few more remarks they finally said that they'd remake my food. But that'd mean I had to wait while my spouse ate or my husband would wait and then their food was cold when we eat together. At this point, the service was so bad and they made it fell like we were inconveniencing them by wanting at least warm food, my spouse said we just wanted to settle up and leave. Again it took them a minute to process that we didn't want to stay there anymore and eventually said we could just leave. We left and have no plans on returning. I would consider trying a different location since it's a chain, but I will not be back to the Walnut Creek location. I give Tomatina a very generous 2 stars for the service at the very start of the night and the flavor of the meatballs.
