Chopped Beef baked potatoes & side of beans
    Brooklynne M.

I love this place. The brother & sister that run it are super friendly and the food is always amazing and fresh. I'm in here at least once a week. I always got the chopped beef sandwich and they kept telling me to try their baked potato with chopped beef... man! That's some good stuff right there haha. Super friendly people, good food, check them out!

Some of the best bbq ribs and brisket I've had. Reasonably priced. Staff was super friendly, too. Will be going back for sure!

The links taste like they had been boiled. The brisket was hard with ALOT OF fat on it. Please pass by this place and go some where better.

I had brought my wife to Dallas for a visit and was insistent that she try the Terry Black's barbecue experience. All of the staff that we interacted with was great, I enjoyed the sides and the sausage and pork ribs. The brisket today just seemed very dry and boring. The biggest problem was as soon as I stepped out of my car in the parking lot, I was overcome with the smell of what I assume was the garbage cans from the comedy club that shares the back of the parking lot. Forget about smelling smoke and getting all excited about good barbecue. It was nearly enough to make us turn around and get back in the car. Grateful for the inside seating because if the only available option was to sit outside, I would not have sat there and eaten my food with the smell of that garbage coming across the parking lot.

The line is super fast and efficient. We got the small family meal, which comes with 3 lbs of meat (you can mix multiple meats as you like) and 5 sides. And got a few other items on the side. We got brisket, sausage (both kinds), pork ribs, burnt ends, and 1 beef rib. Everything was delicious. The brisket was our favorite. For side, we got Mac and cheese, green beans, potato salad, beans, and coleslaw. Potato salad was our favorite! They've got self serve toast and bbq sauces are in the coolers. Overall an amazing experience. I would love to come back the next time I'm in the state.

My friend had been raving about the garlic lamb chops so I finally decided to order them. I had the lamb chops with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The lamb chops were pretty good. We tried just about every steak option on the menu and all were greatly enjoyed. The appetizers were also delicious. The cocktails were quick to come and well-made. This is a good option if you don't wanna wait for the long line at Texas roadhouse or similar venues.

We opted for a pair of 3 meat platters at $16 per plate--lean brisket, ribs and rib tips, links, and the mandatory sides of baked beans and potato salad. The sides were sides, but Meshack's is definitely about the meat. The links had good snap and the ribs were well prepared, separating cleanly at the bite. Both had a flavor profile pleasantly tilted to the peppery side (just the way we like it). The brisket had nice bark and pink ring, but the central Texas rub didn't really kick in until we had them for dinner some 8 hours later. We were happy with the food here, and look forward to another visit. It was fun talking 'cue with Donna, who took good care of us during our visit-- our 99th BBQ stop in Texas, and the 399th nationwide.

It was a full-on spread. Before I even walked in, the place smelled amazing. Inside was clean and dialed. When you're ordering this much food, you half expect some chaos -- but nope. Everything was packed up, organized, and ready to go. Efficient, friendly, no stress. The brisket was fantastic -- tender, flavorful, gone fast. The mac & cheese was a heavy hitter. Definitely one of the first sides to disappear. Hot links had great flavor and the right kick. And the cream corn? That one surprised me. It had a little heat to it that I wasn't expecting, but it worked. Different in a good way. Feeding seven adults isn't small math, and Soulman's made it easy.
