I've never been here but we always get food catered from here at work. I really enjoy their hoagies! They're not the most stuffed - this could be because of the large order we had at work and also because they were cut hoagies by they were really good. I enjoyed the Italian hoagie. The rolls they use are really good they're not too "bread-y" and they have a really great flavor, not like what I've tasted before. We've also gotten their salads. I am not sure if these are always available but I thoroughly enjoy the pasta salad. It isn't too vinegar-y, it's the nice ratio of mayo and no peppers! Wonderful Authentic Philly cheesesteaks. My husband grew up in the area and we are visiting for a few days. All he wanted was a good cheesesteak. We went somewhere else for dinner last night and he was disappointed. Today we came to Slack's Hoagie Shack for lunch. Amazing food and Amazing service. Ate with a party of 5 here for my brothers birthday. The rolls are amazing-obviously homemade and tasty. Roast Beef was so fresh and the fried oreos have something that make them the best fried oreos I have ever had. Friendly friendly staff that you can tell works hard and cares about their customers. Changed owners or whatever and it got worse in the customer service department. No matter how many times they mess up, the owner stands by his cooks and you have to eat what they gave you. Save your money and don't spend it on an establishment that messes up your food and pretty much says oh well your fault eat it. Waste of money for okay food. Genuinely appalled. My father went to go pick up an order on the way home from and work and gave his name. The clerk assured him "oh there's only one order let me get it" and give him the order. It was the wrong order. Not to worry, these things happen from time to time. He drives the food back, asks for the correct order (which was paid for by GrubHub already), and then goes about asking for the refund for the order he accidentally paid for. The staff seemed incapable or processing a credit refund so my father said "let me make it easy on you, just give me cash". Problem solved? WRONG. The owner calls me three hours later saying the staff messed up and refunded the card after the face at wants us to come back and give them back the refund. The absolute disrespect for the customer and the inconvenience that they were trying to put us through AGAIN for a measly $45 dollars (we all know they do plenty of business) speaks volumes about how they value their customers. You're just a number. I honestly thought he was calling to apologize. Also, just a suggestion: Drug Test your employees. At the very least retrain everyone on POS systems and making sure the name matches the order rather than assuming. read more

We get the sesame seed rolls for the hoagies and the plain rolls for the cheesesteaks. All the hoagies are great, made any way you request. The cheesesteaks are the best in the area.
