best meat lovers pizza in the city! I stumbled upon this place today after getting lost and missing my bus stop, the owner was so nice and sweet! I'm not much of a fan of other jumbo slice restaurants i've tried because they're too saucy! Not this place! They have the perfect combination of sauce, cheese, and toppings. I bought two slices for $16 and only waited 3 minutes max. The cheese was gooey and melty. An each bite had a nice crunch - not burned. Everything here is jumbo - slices, whole pizzas, brownies, salads, you name it! If you're looking for a hidden gem in chicago or a hole in the wall this is the place. trust me you won't be disappointed!

Ordered a jumbo slice sausage pizza and some garlic parmesan traditional wings. Overall the pizza was okay. Definitely a good size but the cheese was a bit dry. I did appreciate the sausage not being overly salty. I think you'll just have to time it when they make it straight out the oven. The wings though was supposed to be garlic parmesan but tasted oddly more like lemon pepper which was confusing. It was sour in every bite. I think I'll have to try a different flavor next time. The cashier is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was my first time there and they were very willing to let me know all the important info. Even gave me some good tips on some deals they have throughout the week. Be sure to check out my tips on this page to see what they have. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 3 due to the new cashier's customer service. Thank you for your hospitality!

I generously don't have much harsh comment about this place. First of all, is a pizza place that just happens to open until midnight. Can you get a better pizza in Chicago? Sure!.....when is before 10 pm that rest of the good pizza restaurants are still open. But after the hour, this is as good as it can get. Me and my friend went out for a Turn-Up Tuesday(is a thing). And we got a bit hungry, pizza was the first thing that crossed our mind. Since we were around the neighborhood, pizza just sounds so perfect at the moment. We only got 1 slice of pepperoni for both of us, that thing was huge! Be honest, the pizza was a bit dry compared to others that for sure. But if you are hungry for pizza between 10pm-midnight, that would be the spot for a quick bite.

The name says it all. Factory. When I go out for a quick slice, which is in my venerable opinion the best way to eat pizza, I don't want said slice to be merely the result of an uninspired production line. As the aphorism goes, "there is no ethical consumption under capitalism". I did not finish my pathetic excuse for a slice, mind you I was quite famished having forgone my usual breakfast, which is quite good by the way, pic related. Why didn't I finish my slice? It wasn't up to my standards. pros: size: The slice is of considerable length and width, in fact, my scavenger friend had to have hers cut into little squares. I know. Prize: at 4 dollars a slice, I didnt feel gypped. But that dear reader is about it. Cons: cheese: Tasted like plastic and felt like a thick slab of loose human skin. Yuck! Sauce: weak sauce. The sauce to cheese ratio is sad, there was almost 1 part sauce for every 3 cheese. Bread: basically peta bread. sad! Crust: thin, chewy and flavorless. Don't recommend unless you have no self respect.

I came to this location about a week ago and emailed my concerns to corporate before coming here to leave a review. Corporate did get back to me, stating that the owner/manager would be contacting me directly. A week later and nothing. So seeing that the owner/manager never got back to, they must not take it serious when a customer goes out of their way to email corporate over some health hazards/concerns at their establishment. I went to the Pilsen location for lunch and was very disturbed/disgusted at the findings there. Upon ordering our food, I noticed some small cups with liquid around the pizzas that were out behind the glass casing. I asked the cashier what that was , and was told they were cups of "oil" to capture the flies that flew around the pizzas. Yikes. So next, the drink dispenser . 8 drink options are visible, yet after the purchase, we were told only 2 were working. The lemonade and the fruit punch. Not only was the machine out of order, the but ice dispenser had BLACK MOLD accumulating on the outside ridges and the counter top where the machine is stationed is full of yellow crust. Also the bathroom was out of order. For a franchise that is well known, I was highly disappointed when I encountered this establishment. There should be no reason for that place to look so run down and in that condition. There was no one in there at the time meaning there is plenty of time to clean and fix the problems. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TNIS LOCATION AT ALL! Do better SLICE FACTORY. Dooo betterrrrr!!!!

I stumbled across this place just driving by. One day I was a bit hungry and decided to drop in for a slice. It is clean inside and the employees were nice as I inquired about the pizzas. There were giant pizzas all ready to go sitting in the warmer. I picked out a slice of sausage. They stuck it in the oven for a few minutes and asked me if I'd like it sliced into squares. I thought since i was going in the car it would be a good idea. I dug into it before I started driving, and man, it was good. Way better than those giant Bacci pizza slices you see around town. Sauce was generous and I think that was the key to making this pizza good. Crust was slightly crunchy, and not too thick. Cheese and sausage were perfect. I took a picture with a quarter next to it to show you how big it is. The box was as big as my car's front seat.

We saunter up to our chosen restaurant only to find a sign on the door that says, "closed for private event." Did I mention I was hangry? My husband suggests Jake Melnick's. It was within walking distance ... did I mention it was raining that night? And I was hangry? I was game for anything at that point. We arrived and waited probably four minutes for a table. A couple of the adults ordered a beer, the others ordered a Coke. We ordered a large pretzel and our mains. The pretzel was so good. All the meals were outstanding (a sliced brisket sandwich, some wings, chicken tenders, onion rings and a burger). Service was great. It was a little loud when we first arrived as there was an intense Illinois State basketball game on but as soon as the game ended, it was much quieter. We really enjoyed our meal at Jake's!

I ordered one to go and demolished it later that night, like usual. I did sit in and have a few beers and bites. Somehow I've been sleeping on the onion rings and wings this whole time. Listen, listen, listen, Linda, the onion rings; Do Not Change Them!!! Don't you dare switch to those battered, frozen, chain-restaurant rings of bull-s. These are the good rings. Now, the wangzzzz. I'm not going to pretend these are the absolute best wings in the entire city, but they are absolutely in the "I will randomly crave these on a Tuesday" category. The meat could use a little marinade situation to bring more flavor inside, but that crispy coating holds up to the sauce like a champ. I like it, I like it, I like it. Extra points for a buffalo sauce that actually has some thickness to it and isn't just "here's some hot sauce, on a wing being called buffalo sauce. Now, I am going to need to try some of the other wing sauces, but if they hold up too. I would rather come here than go to some other well known wing spots. Honestly, I can see myself rolling through just for wings, rings, and vibes. And that Golden Monkey beer? Yeah, go ahead and keep that on tap forever. Please and thank you. haha

(Kari's Rating 8/10)…read more Came in on a Friday night about 8 o'clock, and I didn't realize there was a basketball game tonight, so the bar was really packed with IU fans. I heard off this place from an Instagram video from a food blogger. There wasn't initially seating when we first got in, but the bartender/hostess helped us make a makeshift table. We also didn't have a chair so she had to go find a chair and she found one so really appreciate her hustle. The wings came out pretty quickly, the honey barbecue wings were really sweet, and came with a substantial amount of sauce. The ranch was impeccable. It was not too thin and came with celery. The birds nest hot sauce was relatively hot for a medium. I was definitely feeling the spice after two or three. I think there was a little too much sauce on the wings for me, personally, but overall very good. The volume is really loud because everyone was there for the game, so we kinda had to yell over each other to have a conversation. We got our check pretty quickly and the servers were really attentive. I would definitely come back if I was in the area, but I probably wouldn't come all the way from River North for this again.
