    Americano pizza

My family and I love Slice in Washington Township in Sewell. The location has great parking and the food is amazing. I love the great variety of pizzas, the strombolis such as the cheesesteak variety, and the healthy salads with arugula and different toppings. They have big wooden tables with lazy Susans and clean bathrooms which are great! I just like the delicious casual family dining experience without breaking the bank.

New to this whole gluten free thing but I really enjoyed my order yesterday. I ordered take out but the place itself was clean and following all social distance guidelines. It is likely one of the few places I'd safely dine in at! We had pizza and their signature wings. The pizza was ok? (Again, I'm new to the gluten free thing - it was different from regular pizza but not bad) BUT their signature wing sauce was so good!! It was spicy but sweet and not in the way that hot and honey sauces are. Very good food! I'm glad I found a gluten free friendly place as I take this journey for the next few months.

Love this place! Their pizza is thin and crispy. I also ordered their square pie and that was also very tasty and crunch with a nice bread flavor. We tried 3 types of cheese pizzas and each one had their unique qualities. My favorite was the 18" square pie! I highly recommend this place for pizza and will definitely be back!

    Americano with sausage

A variety of styles... and you can do half pizzas in any style you like. We tried the Americano with pepperoni and bacon, and another pie-half Americano with sausage, half Italiana (extra virgin olive oil, mozzarella, prosciutto di parma, gorgonzola, chopped arugula). The crust is thin and, as our server explained, well done. Pretty sure the pepperoni was natural casing, because it curled up and made nice little oily cups. This is a thin but chewy crust with great char. Among the best pies around.

Sugar Doughnuts with a side of "chocolate sauce"

Pretty decent tasting fresh doughnuts. Better than expected. The chocolate dipping sauce tastes like hershey's chocolate syrup rather than their own. I would definitely recomment this if youre craving warm doughnuts but don't order through a delivery app!

    Vegan Garlic Knots

I wandered into Slice one rainy Saturday after hearing they had vegan options. I ordered the vegan garlic knots with plant based cheese and sausage (fausage?) crumbles and was hooked. They are vegan and dispel the myths that vegan food is horrible - they are amazing. I'm picky about what I eat and won't just eat something because it is vegan - it has to be good. Since my first visit, I have also tried several of the vegan pizzas (regular and one with peppers). Both were good but I'm hooked on the vegan garlic knots. Today I tried the vegan (I'm going to see how many times I can say "vegan" in one review) doughnuts with chocolate sauce. Yum. They also deliver so I will see probably see them once a week. They aren't cheap but not crazy expensive either... doughnuts ($5) and garlic knots ($11). I also hear there are gluten free options. Even if you aren't vegan, give your body (and the animals) a break and try the vegan garlic knots. vegan - 12

Vegan calzone but Daiya chz not organic. Small calzone + mushrooms + vegan chz=$15, très chère

W O W We drove up to a humble building and entered into a welcoming and a very nicely decorated restaurant. I loved all the red "pops" for Valentine's Day! Giovanni seated us and Chris was our server. Both were warm and friendly. We really enjoyed our conversation with Chris and he gave us a few special treats as "first timers." I flipped for the focaccia bread! It reminded me of Lamberti's on Haddonfield-Berlin Road back in the day. This was even better though - I "kinda" had five pieces lol! We started with salads that were super good! I barely like tomatoes but these grape ones were so tasty! Now onto the star ... LOBSTER RAVIOLI in a brandy sauce! This dish was AH-MAZING and one of the night's specials - from the tender pasta and scrumptious lobster, to the incredible sauce and two succulent large shrimp. The chef added some sun dried tomatoes in, per my request - absolutely delicious!!! My Sir was grinning at me! I couldn't stop ooh'ing and ahh'ing at the "symphony " of flavors in my mouth! He had Veal Parmigiana with a side of Vodka Rigatoni, that he loved (it's his go-to dish that he bases restaurants on). I cleaned my plate, and took the remaining brandy sauce home - this gold wasn't going to waste! Chris hooked us up with two bread more bread baskets because he noticed how we were inhaling it- we took the remainder home too! A treat was meeting Peppe and his wife (?) on the way out. What lovely and gracious people! You can tell that they genuinely love what they do, which is why their food is so damned good! We already talked about going back - my eye is on the Calzone!

Peppy is the chef and he is constantly crafting wonderful specials that truly never miss. If you are looking for fantastic, authentic local Italian food, this is the place. Insider Tip: If you want to try something truly different, ask Peppy or Linda for 'Tom's Special.' I'll give you a hint: it's a legendary riff on a Chicken Parm... but I'm keeping the rest a mystery. You have to order it to find out!
