This review is for rental department. We decided to rent a tool to get rid of our linoleum floor. It's a small area but we thought it would be faster than using our ryobi tool and it will save our knees and back.. We rent it for one day and it's not doing the job at all, we can't figure it out at all (unless the blade isn't sharp enough). We returned it after 4 to 5 hours of trying. Would have been $100 for one day, they gave us a $6.19. What a deal! read more

I went into the Antelope store with my sister to pick out some paint for home projects. Mike and Eddie were phenomenal and provided excellent customer service. Mike helped with finding the floetrol for smoothing out the paint she selected for painting her cabinets. He also showed me the spray paints for a wrought iron project. Eddie suggested a different base paint for a glass project she has, saying the ceiling paint would be too thick. So for your employees, Home Depot gets a superior rating. But let me tell you, for cleanliness outside is atrocious! Trash everywhere. Home Depot in Antelope needs to consider that many people would choose to shop elsewhere and also know that that trash is a safety hazard. My review is for the Home Depot store at 5859 Antelope Rd. Sacramento Ca. 95842. There they have some of the most knowledgeable, helpful and nicest employees you will ever find at a Home Depot. I needed to replace the roof on my shed; I know nothing about roofing nothing. Two Gentlemen who work in the roofing section helped me through the process of getting everything I needed and gave me guidance on what to do. I want to thank Ruben and Jason; they were so patient and knowledgeable, the model for customer service. Thank you Ruben and Jason my roof for the shed is coming along terrific! Came in to make a house key after a super rough morning. I was met by Ace with a huge smile who not only helped me immediately make a key, but also shared info about their kids workshop, and got my little one a craft bag to build at home. He also brought one of his coworkers with him to come meet my little one and make her feel extra special. Kindness goes such a long way, especially when you don't know what other people are going through. Ace turned my entire morning around with his kindness, positivity, and excellent customer service. garage door opener, nightmare. Ordered motor based on delivery date. Delivery date was actually bogus. I also paid for installation. When the item was delivered, the installer not being an electrician could not complete the installation. Thus I had to also pay $200 extra for an electrician to come out.. not only that, but the part was missing a piece and had to be ordered thus adding another three days on my. Then when I get the installer back, they promised to send a work order to the installer and did not. The whole situation was a royal pain. My car is parked on the street. I cannot charge it. I will seriously reconsider any further orders from Home Depot. They do not do what they promise. read more

My home insurance provider, AAA, informed me I had to do my own foot work after I filed a claim to replace an exterior back/kitchen door with a new fiberglass model due to vandalism. I had a few interesting things happen but the best interactions were by and far with Forrest at Home Depot. He was honest, he reduced the price as much as he could, seriously struggled to meet all my persnickety needs. I left feeling thankful, grateful, with warranty/guarantee in hand. This review is about delivery of an order. I have been shopping this Home Depot since it opened many years ago. Driver forged signature requirements on Bill of Lading. Driver attempted delivery on 6/24 and left voicemail after 1 attempt to alert homeowner of delivery stating that signature of homeowner was required to offload delivery. I was in the bathroom when doorbell rang. I finished asap to find no one there. No note was left. Received voicemail moments later. 2nd attempt was made today 6/25. I was waiting from 5:45am and no attempt was made to knock or ring doorbell. Material was dropped at garage door in full view of passersby until my wife left for work. we went to look for floors and ended up asking for help to a young men his name is Ace and he was very energetic and smart, he helped us find the type of floor we were looking for and even explained how things work in order for us to understand what we are looking at, then we decided to buy the floors we got and he showed us an estimated on how much was going to be for everything we asked for, very quick and even knew hows how to use the computer very well. Came here the other day with my kid. Was looking for a particular plant but neither Lowe's nor HD carries it, o well. I think Lowe's has stepped up with customer service over this pandemic time and HD staffs seems neutral. Great selection of plants. I just left this location 15 minutes ago and felt it was this critical to leave a review. I've never had worse service in all my times at this location. Me and my dad needed help getting some items down and asked two employees for help. One said he would get someone. He called on the radio, 10 minutes go buy. He sees us still standing there, and radios again. Their other tasks were more important than helping customers that literally couldn't get the items from the rack. Have shopped at Home Depot for decades, and was always pleased with my experience. HOWEVER, I recently did a bathroom remodel. We purchased thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Home Depot, including a vanity with marble sink/countertop. We picked up the items when they arrived at the store and drove them home, unloaded them and stored inside until the contractors began the remodel. When the box with the vanity was opened, we discovered that the marble top was broken in many pieces, making the item UNUSABLE. I contacted Customer Service via phone and was told they would pick up the broken item and return it to where it came from, and if I wanted another vanity, I could place a new order ----- at an additional expense, as they have a new policy, and WOULD NOT BE GIVING ME A REFUND FOR THE DAMAGED ITEM. I had no choice but to order AND PAY FOR A SECOND vanity, as I only have one bathroom, and the remodel was already in process. I asked a representative from the company doing the remodel to contact Home Depot and try to get a refund for the damaged vanity, which I was happy to return to them. However, after over a week of trying, they were also unable to obtain a refund for the BROKEN and UNUSABLE VANITY. So, BEWARE OF LEAVING HOME DEPOT WITH YOUR ITEMS. IF YOUR ITEM WAS DELIVERED TO THE STORE, INSIST THAT STAFF OPEN THE SHIPPING BOXES TO MAKE SURE YOUR ITEM IS NOT BROKEN --- BECAUSE IF YOU FIND OUT LATER THAT IT IS BROKEN, HOME DEPOT NO LONGER HAS THE DECENCY TO MAKE IT RIGHT. So I already left review for this location a few years back but I stand by my 100% review. The people in self checkout are so diligent (sorry thieves) and assisted helping me with items without barcode. A lovely young woman by the name of Kyra left her normal post to assist me load car since loaders were backed up. I have lung cancer and get winded easy and hate asking for help but I didn't have to. She pushed my cart loaded my car and refused to take a cash tip so I feel I at least owe calling her out by name as I totally dumped my troubles on this poor young girl and she listened and actually cared. I just had the most wonderful experience getting my Christmas tree at Home Depot. Josh C. was so friendly and helpful! He greeted me as soon as I walked in and the then had a great recommendation for what I was looking for in a tree. I paid for the tree and when I went out to get it, it had a fresh cut and netted. BEWARE OF OPENING A NEW CREDIT CARD!!! I would give zero stars if I could. just got a new Home Depot cardit card and was LESS then 24 hours late on my payment. as a result I was charged a 29 dollar late fee in which I was unaware of- I did not receive a bill! As a result I was charged a 33 dollar late fee on the late fee. I spoke with 3 different people asking for some grace/forgiveness on these late fees without success. NO MENTION OF THAT WHEN HE SIGNED FOR THE $100 DEPOSIT. So this is their scam - to not mention there is a fee damage option that they will automatically charge for and hope you don't notice it. This has to do with the nightmare we endured purchasing appliances from Home Depot. We purchased a washer and dryer October 6 October 16 was Hone Depot's first attempt to drop off my appliances. Stuck around all day waiting for the delivery that never showed. Rescheduled for the 23rd. Again, waiting around all day. My 4 hr time slot came and went. Called the Home Depot to find out where my appliances were.Home Depot called their delivery service , nobody picked up. Home Depot rescheduled my delivery date for the third time. Keep in mind we haven't had a washer and dryer since late September when my washer stopped working. Incredibly, the delivery service showed a little bit early on their 3rd attempt. Unloaded my new washer and dryer only to discover one of the units was damaged. I told Home Depot to cancel the order which they did. I went to Costco which was painless and they were professional and on time. The issue I've got, is not so much with Home Depot, but their delivery service. As long as HD continues to use the service, there will be irate customers. I will never ever purchase appliances from Home Depot again. read more
