I came in to pick up a to go order on a Friday afternoon and was told it wasn't ready but would be soon. I continued to wait and asked again after 20 minutes how my order was going and was told the same thing. 40 minutes pass by until my order was complete. What probably contributed to my long wait time was the big argument between the staff members behind the kitchen. The kitchen is open so I could see the manager and the workers loudly yelling at each other. During this time there were several customers waiting in line and even more waiting for their food to be ready. Someone behind me grumbled that he wanted his money back instead of waiting. When they were done bickering the workers seemed pretty upset and the girl handling the food haphazardly threw the finished burgers/sandwiches across the counter. This entire situation was super stressful. By the time I got home with my food the fries were cold since they were prepared first. My fish sandwich was fine but I was so hungry at that point that I just gobbled it down without thinking about how it tasted. read more

If you like salty food, thin shakes and a long wait, you've hit the jackpot with this location. Came in at about 8:45 on a Friday night. Not terribly busy. They were out of fries, so, OK, we'll get tots and "haystack onions" to accompany a couple of their signature burgers. No special requests. Young man at the counter was pleasantly patient. Good enough start. Ten minutes later, our name is called and we're handed a shake. We like to enjoy our drinks with our food (don't you?), so we wait. For 15 more minutes (!) as we watch customers come and go and to-go bags accumulate on the counter. At one point, the expediter--whose title in no way accurately describes the job that was being performed--called a name that was difficult to hear. We had to approach well within social distance limits to actually hear and understand what he was saying. Literally, ear up to his face. I can sympathize with a soft-spoken voice, but maybe consider amplification if we are supposed to remain six feet away and discern what you're saying in a restaurant with plenty of noise pollution. That was the only name we heard. After 25 minutes of waiting, we approached the counter of bags and found ours sitting there. At this point, our shake had melted, although we had initially noticed through the clear cup that it was liquid-y to begin with. And not very weighty, which didn't bode well. Everything except the tots was soggy. Buns were wet and squashed (smashed?). Bacon was offensively underdone. The classic smash burger had the intriguing disposition of being ketchup-forward, without seeming to have much ketchup on it. Tots were so salty they felt acidic on our tongue. On the upside, the oversweet shake countered the salt, but it was the kind of confection that was really only half a shake, fluffed up by air and ice but not much actual ice cream, so that yin and yang didn't last long. On a side note, we also witnessed some unhygienic practices by gloved hands, eg, tucking shirts and adjusting pants, then going right back to handling food with the same gloves. So disappointed. I almost never eat fast food but this place is close to home and out of pure laziness I will stop by every once and a while to grab a bite. The food is just ok and never really consistent. But the real issue is the staff. On my last visit I counted 7 employees and a manager. After about 4 mins of watching 3 employees standing at the counter waiting on food to bag up I made eye contact to facilitate getting an order started. One girl started to make her way over to be only to be detoured by the ringing phone which she picked up and started taking a phone order. So back to waiting again...2 more mins go by and the manager (I assume he was by the way he was directing his staff) nodded my way as he was exiting the building. He did state someone would be with me soon. Well I assume EVENTUALLY someone would help me but I was thinking about sooner rather than midnight. After the phone order finished up I finally got my order in (this was at about the 8 min mark) and 10 mins later my food was ready. I asked for no mayo on the Colorado burger and to add barbecue sauce and red onion. I got the complete opposite. With the rest of my family's order same thing, we ask for no tomatoe, they put tomatoe on. We added cheese on a other buger and paid the extra cost and was suppose to come woth lettuce and tomatoe and got none of it! It was mind blowing how much they messed up! I've tried this location several times because it's close and I want it to work. I order online and the food is consistently ready 20-30 minutes after the specified pick up time. Apparently they make each order of tots or fries individually. As if there won't be a need for them again in 2 minutes. I watched three orders of tots come out 5 minutes apart. Never been to a smash burger and it exceeded my expectations!! Burgers are fresh and really good. Fries are hand cut and the smash fries with the oil and seasoning actually tastes like the description! I get some people had reviews for their service, but I think people have the idea this is as fast as McDonald's, but it's not that type of place. It's not a chipotle where food is instant. I make better ones at home so why go out and pay close to $20 for take-out? The food was pricey, so I was disappointed. It was a quiet Saturday early afternoon, just after opening time. Staff was friendly and polite and took my order quickly. My order was the same, this time though I chose the garlic fries. Once again I waited about 25 minutes before the food came. The place was lightly busy and not crowded. The food was as I remembered it before, the burger was just fair. The bun was fresh enough though lacking in any memorable flavor or texture, like a cheap grocery store brand. The food was not hot. The fries were okay, good serving size but forgettable flavor. Finally a turkey burger I can actually enjoy!! The cheese burgers were not too shabby either!! I loved that you get a choice of buns. The jury is still out on the sides but as far as the burgers go they mop the floor with the other nearby places! Downside, they take forever dine in, take out was shocking good!
