What can I say, we are fans of Smashburger! This location however seems to have an issue with finding parking! Yes, there is an underground garage, but, it is $10 to park so take that into consideration. We even came during a time where it was well after normal lunch hours and there still wasn't any parking. The garage is nice and there was plenty of parking available when we came. On to our Smashburger experience. We were greeted by a gentleman who was quick and very polite. There were two young girls who were taking the orders to the tables and were often standing around waiting for the cook to give them the orders. I think one of them could be cleaning down tables, making sure ketchup bottles are full or taking orders up front when it isn't busy. Food came fast and was tasty as always. I had to take one whole star due to the location. Parking really stinks down here and this lot is so crammed with businesses, I would never come here during a busy time. read more

wow I have never tried the truffle Swiss cheese burger and it is a melt in your mouth delicious piece of meat wrapped in an warm egg bread. I always build my own but tonight was glad I tried something new. Disappointed in the sweet potato fries. When this place first opened the fries were served hot and salted. They appeared to have been sitting in the kitchen. The chocolate malt didn't disappoint. I'm sure I hit 3000 calories at this one meal but hey it was my only meal today. So worth saving up the calories for Smash burger tonight. read more

Smashburger is a great choice for a quick lunch. My burger was cooked well and I enjoyed the smash sauce. Veggie frites were a good side, but wish they were a little crunchier. The smash fries are delish though - would go back again just for the fries! read more

I just got a burger and after one bite I had to throw it in the trash. It was drowning in so much sauce that the bread fell apart and it felt like soup in my mouth. Fries were great but I was really looking forward to having a burger. I should have ordered from somewhere else. read more

This place has gone downhill fast in the last few months. I work nearby, and the last three times I went there they have gotten my takeout order wrong. Same with my co-workers'. The food is tasty, but it's expensive for what you get, and the service is slower than dial-up Internet. The line is routinely out the door, and rarely moves fast. Then after you order, you can expect to wait around some more, apparently while they figure out new ways to mess up your order. They need to hire more people and find some folks who can get an order correct. Smash used to be one of my Uptown favorites, but no more. read more

Burgers and chicken are on the salty side but still delicious. Salads are always wonderful and fresh. I've never had any fries but the sweet potato fries which are a little on the floppy side but have great flavor. I've never dined in but both phone and online ordering have been great experiences. Once I'd ordered online and they weren't ready when I arrived to take with me so they gave me a drink on the house. Parking can be an issue but that's the nature of their location. read more

I have been a regular customer of Smashburger Addison for several years and the changes your management has made are awful. First, you stopped using red onions, then you stopped opening at 10:00. Now you have taken away that wonderful sauce served with haystack onions and the strawberry milkshakes that I loved have absolutely no taste because you have decreased the amount of strawberries in them. The ranch dressing now served with haystack onions is tasteless. While I realize one disgruntled customer may not make a difference, I will be frequenting other burger establishments going forward. read more

I have been a smashburger fan for EVER but today this location really disappointed. My husband waited in line for over half an hour, which is fine, I understand they were understaffed and it's definitely usually worth the wait, but both of our fries were regular with no smash seasoning when we clearly ordered TWO orders of smash fries. I mean, that's their signature thing!! That's part of the reason why you go!! And our burgers were SOOOO sloppy. I always get the classic smash and there was almost ZERO smash sauce. The workers at the uptown location are very lazy. The receipt displayed the correct order and the food was totally wrong. The burgers had the completely wrong toppings. Ordered smash fries was given regular fries. And the Oreo Shake only had Oreos on top. Very very lazy. read more

I had gone to the one in Houston a few years ago and enjoyed the burger, but it's the fries that had me excited to see one open on McKinney Ave in Dallas. So, I went last weekend with a friend. She had the chicken sandwich, said it was ok. I had the veggie burger, was not impressed - you have to really season a veggie burger, and it needs texture, which you can do with soy or mixing in veggies, but this was a pasty disk of black beans. What really really broke my heart was their specialty fries that I had loved so much the first time I had them, I think they are parmegian garlic or some such. They quite crisp, which is good. They were not salted, that's ok, I know how to use a salt shaker. Here's the part where I wanted to cry, they were soaking in a pool of oil - we got toward the bottom of the basket and the fries were actually dripping with oil. You know it's bad when you share a basket of fries and don't finish them. Smashburger, you disappoint. read more

took my kids out to lunch today and needless to say i was disappointed, the cashier overcharged me, everything was a la carte just because my kids wanted a milkshake?? after all of that i had to have a manager correct a $7.00 upcharge mistake, the restaurant was empty so im not sure why the fries, and onion stacks were ice cold. i dont eat red meat but my kids burgers came looking like plastic, if i did eat meat i would want my burger hot with juices flowing out and dripping down my fingers yeah!!! it wasnt worth $38.00, although my chicken sandwich was good, they go sparse on the toppings read more

First of all - I ate here at 3:00 on a Monday afternoon. Not a usually busy time for restaurants, but the tables were all dirty - not with plates and cups - just needed to be wiped clean from the previous diner. Next let's talk about the basic Bait & Switch. I ordered the #1 All American combo. (Burgers / Fries / drink) for $7.68 the girl asks me, and I quote "you want the regular size" to which I say "yes". She tells me $9.08 and I give her my debit. Then I go and get my drink and notice what should have been $7.68 (before tax) was $8.38 (before tax). So I go up and question her - and some guy who was not involved at all - interrupts me and says "you ordered the regular size - that price up there ( on the menu) is for the small size, the regular is the larger size". Okay call me crazy, but when you look at a menu and order and are asked, do you want the regular size you normally think you are getting the one on the menu? Right? WTF do you ask someone if they want the "regular size" and then charge them more then the menu price. Classic Bait & Switch 100% now we are not taking about a lot of money and it's not about the money - it's about being honest to your customers and keeping them coming back - I will NEVER go back in there. They changed owners a year or two ago, and the place has never been the same. Burgers are average at best. Very greasy (I love he fries). Too bad for them that "SHAKE SHAK" is opening 100 feet from them in a few months. Nobody will ever go back in there. Advice to this location: You may want to try to keep your existing customers happy when a major competitor is opening across the street. read more

I order for myself and most people in my office frequently, and the food is always great! I order ahead of time online to skip the crowd and bring it all back to the office. Everyone at this location is very helpful and friendly. I usually get the build-your-own small smash and it's just the right size. I've introduced Smashburger to a lot of people and they all love it! read more
