I had the Classic Smash beef burger and French Fries. The burger was good, and I really liked the fries. I also tried the Fried Pickles, and although they were good, I thought they were very salty. My first time trying Smashburger, was immediately after my Union contract meeting. My cantankerous cousin was starving & this place is just up the street. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with rosemary fries & a salted caramel shake. The burger which I ordered medium rare was extremely done & dry. As dry as Methuselah's nuts! I could tell there was a deep beefy flavor but it was too dry for me. And it seemed to me there was too much bun to burger ratio. The patties may be hand made but they're "SMASHED" so thin. Today they lost a star an couple of stars. Service with a smile at the register was non-existent. Dimitrius acted as if we were ruining his day by showing up. His attitude was very robotic. No smiles, no thank you...nothing Now to the orders which were all delivered separately about 5 minutes apart. When the last burger finally arrived I asked the manager why all the meals were delivered separately. The response was....the kitchen messed up, three different tickets...blah blah. No apology for the waiting, just blame others. Not sure how it could have been three different tickets when they were all purchased on the same order. So I call BS on that excuse. The fries were all on the side of being cold. The burgers this time were overly greasy. The best looking and tasting meal (per the eater) was the avocado crunchy smash chicken. Not sure where the service has gone, but it's definitely not as good as on previous visits. Shake Shack is opening soon 1 block away, so I am sure this will take more customer from this location. I'm so glad I found this burger place! It looked so clean, inviting, and organized. The moment I saw portobello mushroom on the menu, I was all in. I ordered the truffle portobello mushroom burger with cheese, some chicken burger, and a Oreo shake. The customer service was good. The guy brought over all our food when it was ready and made sure to ask if we needed anything else.... My mushroom Swiss burger was amazing! Always receive Smashburger coupons due to being in close proximity to this location. Smashburger is located in the shopping complex of Petsmart, Chopt, Papa Ciros and the new Club Pilates. Lunch hour gets CRAZY. You better give your time for parking and waiting on the long line. It is such a shame because I love the smashfries here pairing with any kind of their burger depending on my mood. However, the service, employees and waiting time is ridiculous. There was one instance I came here at 11 AM when it opens to avoid the lunch crowd and there was a paper sign saying "cook not here, will open at 11:30 AM." I was beyond bitter and decided to wait until 11:30 AM... Still not open and you can visibly see employees in there. What kind of place does that. Finally, opened at 11:45. Yesterday, decided to visit at around 1pm. The line was to the door. I knew this was going to take forever. Finally got to place my order around 1:15 and waited for my food to go and finally rec'd it at 1:45. Just saying be prepared to wait if you are hangry. There needs to be better service or more efficiency from the cook. Either hire more people in the back to cook to keep up with the lunch time business. Another suggestion is to use the online order pick up option. I was trying to do that when I was in line to order however, I wasn't able to apply my coupons. Came here on a Sunday to finally give Smashburger a try. I'm a Shake Shack fan but always willing to give things a try. I ordered the Jalapeno Baja Chicken burger and although the flavor was pretty good I couldn't get over how thin the actually chicken patty was. I was also concerned about how quick it came out, being that chicken should be cooked well but it's didn't taste raw however it was very pale looking (not a fan). As for my husband he ordered the classic smash burger and it was blah, no flavor at all! We made both a combo and ordered one extra burger and it came out to $32. This wouldn't be a bad deal if the chicken wasn't paper thin and the burger had flavor. The place was also a little messy and the windows were we sat by were pretty gross.
