Eh.. Nothing special. The prices are ridiculously high and I could get 10x the quality at ShakeShack for about the same price.

Good food good service ,no drama . They take your order with respect then you get what ya ask for ,it's fast food yes but the ingredients and options are far better than most ,especially compared to Jake's Wayback and Burger King .i would say smash and five guys are among the best around in this category . Only reason I give 4 instead of 5 is slight wait at times but honestly sometimes it good to know there taking extra minute to prepare everything right rather than just throwing it all together . Quality was great, a 5 .Presentation was good a 4 I did a build my own big burger with Swiss mushrooms avocado bacon a fried egg and a side of haystack onions. Burger was cooked with a nice little crunch on the outside ,haystack onions were nice and light with a good crisp. The reason it gets a 3 is you've gotta be out of your mind to charge $17.00 for a 6oz burger 3oz of onions and a drink. Fine the first time we visited, shortly after the grand opening. The service was prompt and food seemed fresh, but it's gotten progressively worse each visit thereafter. The food takes FOREVER and they mess up without fail. Forget calling in your order ahead, I once ordered a chicken sandwich and when I got home it was one sandwich with a chicken patty and hamburger patty. The last time I went w my kids they messed up our Order forgot all our fries and as soon as the cashier finished my order he went outside to smoke a cigarette, gross. read more

The only reason that has me coming back, is the fact I get free shakes for standing outside and waiting for the "grand" opening. The burgers are kinda sad, and the chicken is over cooked. The assembly of each sandwich is just slapdash, and a mess. Most of the shakes seem watered down. HOWEVER, the butterfingers shake is very well done! The service seems ignorant and like they have no idea what they're doing causing them to be slow. The fries are sad and shoestring like. Somehow it's busy though. Probably for the booze! read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Order takers don't really want to be there, they would rather be at the dentist I think, servers are not organized and need training. The burger is very thin and about an inch smaller than the diameter of the bun. The French fries are absolutely tasteless as are the veggie frites. All for $25 for 2 people. Five Guys, Chilis or Burger King are so much better. Don't waste your money, the way Smashburger is going it won't make it a year! read more

The first time I tried this place was about a month ago. Some of my co-workers and I placed an order and picked it up. I had the smash burger and onion rings which were pretty good! So two weeks later I brought my family there on a Friday evening for dinner but we got our food to go. I again ordered the smash burger and onion rings and also a vanilla milkshake. This time around the food was just ok with the burger being salty and not too good. They completely messed up my kids' orders. But the worst were the milkshakes! It tasted absolutely disgusting! It taste like they used old freezer-burned ice cream from a filthy freezer. My children took one sip each and we're trying to give them away to my husband and I! What kid throws away a milkshake? Four milkshakes down the drain and money wasted! Needless to say I'll stick with my Shake Shack and Five Guys!! read more

Disappointing 2nd visit. Too long wait for the food to come out. Watched several other upset customers get angry with the staff, two stormed out muttering "it's not worth it". Dirty bathroom, signs ripped off the wall, very dirty restaurant floor with food and fries littered all over and no one cleaning up. Garbage bin loaded with trays, cups and garbage. It's a poorly managed restaurant. Too bad too because I like the hamburger and fries, but I won't be back. read more

Terrible. It's been a few hours since my friend and I ate there and we both are very nauseous with upset stomach's. The food itself was not very good. Burgers are small and do not have very good flavor. I had a bacon cheeseburger and so did my friend we both got the big size which was not very big. Only thing good about the entire meal was the fries unless that's what is making us both sick. Anyhow I would avoid this place at all cost. The hamburger market is saturated right now there's a lot of competition and there is no way this place will last. read more

They opened up this place very recently and I decided I wanted it for my birthday dinner as take out. While the food reminds me of your typical fast food...it IS at least one step higher. I opted for the grilled chicken build your own sandwich and got it with a multi grain bun, avocado, tomato, ketchup, and cheddar cheese with the shoe string fries. I also got a peanut butter milk shake that I totally killed in the car, lol. My sandwich was run of the mill but the shoe string fries were a stand out for me...I usually prefer sweet potato fries (which my husband got) but I actually liked the plain shoe string a lot better! My daughter got the grilled cheese which I tried and was yummy as well as the shoe string fries (which I ate half of..don't judge...it was my birthday) and she was totally a fan. I would come back here every once in a while since it is not the healthiest food...but I THINK they might have salads so that is an option. After a long day of discount shopping for my best friends birthday we head here on a mid week early evening.I was more then impressed.Not only the food and all its preparation but even down to the displaying of both the food itself ALL was TOP NOTCH. I also liked how to dispite it being a carnivore heaven it DID NOT smell like old food wrappers.The staff are polite and helpful.l loved the first timers coupons at the end of the meal...NOT SURE IF IT WAS RANDOM SO DONT GO THERE EXPECTING THEM NECESSARILY.Maybe its for only to bring more business but l get it and appreciate it greatly.Useing them to bring my family out to lunch! I Loved the attention to the dining experience such as not blasting bad pop music the ways some buffets do. Just one thing l didn't like..the entrance "hall" to wait to order it was so tightly packed it felt very claustrophobic.Yes l will be back once again. read more

First experience here I ordered a black bean burger. They cashed me out and I sat down and waited for a good 10 minutes before someone came over and told me that the black bean burgers were frozen and wouldn't be thawed for about an hour. So I chose to take my money back and go elsewhere. Second experience I ordered yet another black bean burger to go. Waited about 15 minutes, drive home with my order to find bacon embedded into the entire bottom half of my burger. As I don't eat meat, I had to throw it away and waste the money spent. Wanted to sit outside but the 3 outside tables were not cleaned, trays and left over food, it's 3:15 not busy lunch. My smash burger came with condiments when I ordered only smash sauce and that on the side. They were arguing over who made the mistake and would not listen to my request that a new bun top would do. Even after all that the fries didn't come for another 10 minutes. Not coming back. Burger did taste good but fries cold, you would think after the wait they would be piping hot. We grabbed dinner here inside one night and it took forever for just a couple of burgers. The place also had a funky smell to it, maybe it was just the cleaner they used, but either way didn't make for much an appetite. We ordered out another night and had to wait 5-10 minutes upon arrival, burgers and sweet potato fries were great but service could be better. read more

Room for improvement- there is potential. Hopefully they can work out the kinks soon, only 1 person on the register working relatively slowly, causing a backup out the door at the Monday lunch hour, the line wait area is fairly small so backups out the door will likely be common. Lots of people working in the back kitchen, not a lot up front, or cleaning off tables. They're neglecting retrieving the order numbers, so you have no idea which table is available or not. The dining area does not have an over abundance of seating, but there is outdoor seating. One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone else in your party is served significantly sooner than the other, so much so that they are able to nearly finish their meal before yours, today was about a 6 minute difference. What I did like about the burger was that it was not greasy at all, and that they put a generous serving of bacon with the bacon & cheese smash. The burger was decent, at $6.79 it's not a horrible deal, but it's certainly not cheap. Portion size seems on the lower end of average. read more

First time having SmashBurger. Ordered online for pickup. Both of the burgers we ordered were not what we ordered, they mixed up our orders & didn't add what we asked for but yet you pay extra for certain toppings. The only thing I enjoyed was the milkshakes. read more

Your restaurant has earned the 'D' word - Dirty. The food was good, the wait was minimal (7:45 on a Saturday and the food came out in a reasonable time) but the dining room had three tables with dirty trays, so much litter under the tables and even fries on the floor that were so walked over, they looked to be part of the floor. I saw the manager eating at table - in front of another that had a dirty tray on it - and told him his dining room was disgusting. His response was to get an employee to pick up the other messes...and the manager went back to eating, like, problem solved! Yup, eating, looking at his phone and even after the one employee came over and cleared the top of the tables, the floor was STILL a mess and those mushed up french fries were still on the ground in the middle of the floor! If I was the manager, I would've stopped eating, grabbed that other employee and spent the TWO minutes if would have taken to get the place back in order again - then gone back to eating (maybe in the back somewhere, out of the sight of customers?!?). When I left, the place was STILL disgusting - at a time where the dining room was only HALF full. Where I work, I don't eat in front of guests but maybe its different in the food industry. I will NEVER come back to that restaurant. If management doesn't care about how DIRTY the restaurant is, maybe he should not be in charge there in the first place. Just remember, it's Queen Street and there's MANY more places to go...and next time, I will. CLEAN UP YOUR RESTAURANT! Anyone who asks me about Smashburger in Southington will get the 'D' word. I was invited to a elite yelp review there tonight. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was extremely fun . The girl who was running the event was very nice and welcoming . Smashburger and Thomas hooker beers were paired together. They were really good combinations and I loved the mushroom Swiss burger !! I will definitely order that the next time I go . I wasn't a big fan of their version of French fries but the sweet potato fries were out of this world ! We even got to try the vegetable fries .. they were definitely different ,green beans and carrots served with ranch .I was surprised I like them . All of the staff at smashburger was very nice and at the end the manager and the promotions guy from Thomas hooker even jumped in with my friends for a picture which was so nice ! I left there feeling completely full and satisfied. Ohhhh..and the milk shakes are out of this world you must try them ! read more
