I've been a patient of Dr Rolfes, Do, and Dunne's office for over 20 years (yikes!) and can honestly say I have never had a bad experience. Cleanings, wisdom teeth removals, night gaurds, x-rays, etc., every procedure has been a breeze. All staff members from the office girls, to the techs, to the doctors are genuine, welcoming, and professional. The office is clean, always seems to be running on time (or I get a phone call if they're running a bit late), and I always feel like I'm in great hands while I'm there. I have been seeing Dr. Rolfes for my dental care for many years. I have had extensive restorative procedures. He does excellent work. He has the very newest equipment which makes the whole experience so much more tolerable, He has an oral surgeon on staff which makes it very convenient If you need extractions. I took both of my grandsons for wisdom teeth extractions. I see Karen for my cleanings. She is a very good hygienist and I highly recommend her. The entire staff is friendly and professional. I have been a patient at this office for many years now and have always had a very positive experience. I have seen all three of the Drs at the office (Dr. Rolfes, Dunne, and Do) and really like them. Most recently Dr. Dunne made me a crown and I didnt feel a thing and he was very quick. Last thursday he put in my new tooth and it looked and felt great, I cant even tell which one it was now. He also gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him any time if anything started to hurt, I haven't had to use it. Dr. Dunne also got me this super strong bleach that I started to use over the weekend at night and within 2 days I could see a difference which is crazy to me. Smiles 4 OC has the best and most honest Dentists, hygienists, and staff in Orange County. I had work done from other dentist in Orange County prior to my visit with Dr. Do at Smiles 4 OC. The last Dentist I saw before meeting Dr. Do told me I had a cavity (my first cavity ever) and proceeded to prep for a filling immediately. This concerned me since I had not noticed any issues with the health of my teeth. I told the Dentist to stop what he was doing and that I wanted a second opinion. He told me not to be foolish and let him "fix" my tooth before the decay got worse. I was refereed to Dr. Do by a loved one and was instantly put to relief that I did not in fact have any cavities at all. Unfortunately, it is common for Dentists to lie about dental issues to make a quick buck. This is not the case with the professionals at Smiles 4 OC. They utilize the most sophisticated technology and techniques in dental practice to date. The staff is extremely friendly and the office invites a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere incorporating visual aids at each station so that their patients can see the work being performed during each visit clearing any question as to where any problem areas may exist. Dr. Do fit me with Invisalign braces upon my request and I could not be happier with the results! I now have a perfect smile! This is the only Dental Practice I would ever refer to my friends and family knowing that they are in great hands. read more

I agree with the previous comment. Dr. Rolfes is really cool and always did a great job with my entire family. This, however cost all of us a fortune. After they remodeled their office a few years back, the prices went up even higher. Needless to say, none of us still see Dr. Rolfes. Quite simply, he is far too expensive. read more

By far my favorite dental practice. Dr. Rolfes made me feel comfortable in his office. The staff is courteous and professional. All options were explained clearly and no drive was made to decide immediately. I'd definitely recommend to friends and family. My schedule is not always the easiest to work around but they are more than accommodating, and make my appointments quick and easy. Everyone on your staff is friendly and professional. I also love that I can be put to sleep using IV sedation for bigger procedures. It is so nice to simply go to sleep and then wake up with all of my dental work done! I used to be a patient of Dr. Rolfes. This dentist was recommended to me therefore I felt safe going there. Then, once Dr. Rolfes saw my teeth, he asked if I had orthodontic work. I guess this to him meant that I might have money - which it's not true. Anyway, I didn't have any problem with the front office as I thought I might since I listened to other patients entering and leaving the office. My problem was with Dr. Rolfes. He started suggesting extra things like getting my teeth cleaned when my teeth aren't yellow. I don't smoke just drink coffee but from the looks of other people, my teeth didn't need the $600 bill I was being pushed to consider. Then I started feeling uncomfortable that if I didn't watch it, I'd get suggested more things I didn't need. The other thing that bothered me was the dental assistants Dr. Rolfes had at the time I was going to his office. Dr. Rolfes would leave me 100% in the hands of the assistants and I didn't feel safe not being supervised. Anyway, I left the practice. I just don't think now a days one can find a dentist who just wants to be honest and do honest dentistry. I think the new dentists now a days are taught to be car salesmen. If you read this and still want to go to Dr. Rolfes, just watch your pocket book for unnecessary procedures. read more

We did it, all went great with Dr Do of Smiles4OC in Costa Mesa- my OB and lactation consultant both referred us to dental practices in San Bernadino or Carlsbad for laser tie revision surgery. Our newborn had a fourth degree frenum palate... when I called Dr. Do's office to ask if the procedure was a specialty I was surprised to hear it was. I asked why others were not aware of her practice and her specialty in tie revisions and she said its all word of mouth. That she doesn't have time for marketing. Dr. Do was a student of Dr Jesse and worked under him in his office for many years. I told her our newborn wasn't used to being in the car and how driving an hour for surgery and then undergoing the procedure sounded like a lot of unecessary crying and trauma. She offered that I send a picture of our newborns mouth so she could be sure she understood what needed to be done, and literally replied to my email within minutes. I am so impressed with her. She explained that her 3 month old son had a tongue tie that she herself did the revision for! We set the appointment for the following day at noon. She was so patient and answered questions thoroughly and thoughtfully about her choice of lazer (water instead of heat/diode) and her choice of anesthetic- fast acting topical gel. She believes in no medication afterward and so far we are just past 24 hours in with multiple feedings complete and all is great. Would love to spread the word so moms with latch issues and their newborns don't have to go sooooo far for treatment. Also she was extremely reasonably priced... Dr. Khoury of Carlsbad charges $700 for the same procedure and both Dr. Jesse of San Bernadino and Dr. Do charge $450. Our newborn is not used to the car and screams when put in her car seat, driving over an hour for a specialist was out of the question. We were in and out of the dentist chair in under 8 minutes. Everyone in the office was more than helpful and although there was a line out front when they saw us with a fussy newborn they told us to go right into an consultation office. I would highly recommend this practice to any new mom, or anyone looking for a very caring dental environment. read more

I made an appointment 3 months in advance for a regular cleaning/checkup as a new patient. I submitted my existing x-ray result with new patient registration form via email months ahead to save my time at the appointment. I still had to wait for more than an hour to see the dr and the hygienist. Regular dental cleaning should not be longer than an hour, but I wasted THREE HOURS there! First, I was seated in a room to take photo and x-ray of each individual tooth in order for Dr. Do to see my teeth condition, which I respect her thoroughness. This procedure took an hour. Then, I waited for half an hour to see Dr. Do and talked about each tooth condition and see how it looks, which I already knew there is nothing wrong with them and it didn't bother me. After that, I was seated in an up-sale room to go over my financial option if decided to whitening my teeth or removing wisdom teeth. Luckily I asked for the detailed charges they applied to my PPO insurance. This place is all about money. Lastly, it's time for cleaning, which I had to wait for 40 mins for the hygienist. And she only spent 30 mins cleaning my teeth. This should've been done in the first place. I am extremely upset with all the time I wasted especially with the appointment. They have no concern of client's time. I do not recommend this place. read more

From the moment you walk into the office and greeted by either Paige or Vicky then get taken inside by any one of the friendly staff. They're just simply great at what they do!! Really cannot say enough good things about this place. Had my first visit here not long ago since I recently moved to the area. Melissa at the front desk was wonderful to work with and made the booking process extremely easy and quick, which is not the easiest thing to find at a dentists office. Karen performed my dental cleaning and aside from how friendly and professional she is, it was probably the best cleaning I've ever had. I was the designated driver and caregiver for my son's wisdom teeth extraction in August of 2012. All four teeth were removed. He is 21 yrs. old, and was starting to have discomfort from the teeth. The nerves were shallow, and the dentist's office told me it would be an easy surgery. We arrived on time, the surgery took 30 minutes, the recovery took one day, and at the end of seven days, my son was completely back to normal. This office made me aware of all costs, what I had to pay up front, and not to worry about the surgery. They are really gental and extremely friendly. What I love most is that my teeth are horrible and they don't lecture me about them at all. They always recommend what's needed and don't push you to get more than you need fixed. The prices are a little high but I believe paying a little more at this place is worth it! Seriously, I had been delaying getting work done on my teeth and gums for "years" because of the severe anxiety that I experience whenever I go to the dentist. However, the pain and infection in my mouth got so bad that I knew that I could no longer hold off if I wanted to save my teeth. I reviewed this office 2 years ago and still very happy! If you ever had a bad experience and are afraid or hate going to dentists now - try this office! Usually when you go to a dental office you either like the hygienist but the doctor pushes to get you to do a lot of cosmetic work that is costly, or the office staff is rude, or the office is dirty. This office is clean and fun and there isn't one person there that won't make you feel comfortable and treat you like the person you are instead of just one more person bringing money to the office. They truly care about you! Dr. Rolfes is who takes care of my teeth, but I have seen Dr. Dunn once and enjoyed him just as much. I had an implant put in and was scared to death of the pain. When it was done I was amazed - great looking and hardly any discomfort at all! I recently changed jobs and insurance. I accepted their insurance because it was inexpensive - but one visit to a different place where all the above happened yet again....and I am already back with Dr. Rolfes. Sometimes saving money just isn't worth it! Being treated like you really matter and you can trust them to do what is best for you, is worth all the money in the world. read more
