My sister started going there about 13 or 14 years ago when my niece was a little girl, and Dr. Do was so great with both of them. She has a special way of making children calm during procedures and excited to come back. Incredibly friendly and high tech office. I recently referred my 5yo nephew here to see Dr. Christina Do for his tongue tie condition that prevented him from speaking well. She used a topical anesthetic and released his tongue tie in less than 5 minutes using a special laser. He was not in any pain or fearful. I had a fantastic experience at this dentist. Their new patient consultation appointment was super thorough, and I was amazed at how low my copay was. Dr. Do was kind and explained everything well. Susie was very nice, too! After the appointment, I met with Christina, who explained my insurance and helped talk me through the treatment plan. They have state of the art technology that helps make dentist appointments less dreadful, like laser treatments in lieu of drilling cavities and a scan of your teeth instead of taking molds. I'm honestly a huge fan of this place. The staff and doctors here are all warm and welcoming. With my past experience with Smiles4OC, every visit has been great and they treat me like family. I have very bad teeth and had bad experiences from the past with my previous dentist, so coming into my first procedure to get my bottom right molders capped was quite nerve racking. Dr: Do numbed my mouth so quick and smooth I honestly felt nothing, and she finished capping and filling all of my molders in under an hour. She did it efficiently and noticed nothing but perfection looking at my molders now. She now finished two other procedure and going to come back next week to finish up the top left molders and my fronts. Dr. Do is absolutely a professional, and I'm l just astonished to see how humble and happy she is when her patients like me feel great !! Her associates are just as amazing. Brittany made me feel like I was at home by providing me a warm blanket and some headphones to put me in a trance as they both focused on fixing my teeth. She too is amazing for having good conversations and putting me at ease when I'm asking so many question to her. I have always found Dr. Rohlfes and this office to be personable and extremely competent. I'm really torn about this, as I like all the dentists and the hygienist, April, is super cool, but I've had some frustrations with the administrative side of this dental office. I've put off getting my wisdom teeth pulled out for nearly a decade and they got outta control. The pain was so bad I finally dragged my swollen mouth in. The first thing Dr. Rolfes said to me was, "Now what's a nice, cute girl like you doing running around with an infected, pus-y tooth?" That totally cracked me up and kept me from freaking out in the chair. He took it out immediately, no pain and very little to no discomfort. I was sold. He's extremely capable and I trust his skills completely and that's coming from a huge dentist-phobe. After the wisdom teeth debacle, I got a consultation and discovered that I needed close to $8,000 worth of dental work, yikes. All four wisdom teeth extractions, three porcelain crowns, etc. I was stunned. With insurance, my out-of-pocket costs came close to $4,000 and that really worried me and I sat down with the dental office staff to go over my payment options, so I assumed they realized that I wasn't some rich kid who could blow thousands, no biggie. Luckily, I was able to finance most of it through work. So when I went into the dentist a few weeks ago to get two fillings, I was surprised when the office receptionist handed me a bill for $300. Apparently I had used up all my available insurance for the year, something they conveniently forgot to tell me prior to making the appointment. They had also scheduled me for oral surgery, knowing that I would have to pay out of pocket for it, another $1,200! I was told, "Oh, we gave you the cost list way back when, we thought you knew." Yeah, I got this list of figures and dental jargon I didn't really understand back in November, more than 6 months ago, how am I supposed to remember all that? I've already spent in excess of $3,000 out of my own pocket the last 6 months and you try to tack on another $1,200? I was miffed because I felt they were just trying to milk me when the whole time they could have totally put off the oral surgery (for my two other wisdom teeth) until my insurance kicks back in in six months! And when I bluntly said that I couldnt' afford it, the attitude was like, "Oh, you can't?" Also, after my two extractions with Dr. Rolfes, I was transferred to a different dentist (who is also great, but it felt like an abrupt switcharoo) and I haven't seen Dr. Rolfes since. Two times out of three whenever I have an appointment, I would get a call from the dental office asking me to switch the times around, kind of a drag. And the times I've had to reschedule or was too tired from working late the night before, they weren't very accommodating, instead wheedling me to come in anyway. I'm looking for another dentist with a staff who's a bit more caring and understanding of their patient's cost-conscious needs. read more

LOVE the vibe in this place. From a nervous nellie who does not like someone working on your teeth this place will make you feel at home. My family has been coming here for many years on the advice of a previous Doctor who retired and we couldn't be happier. My husband has had extensive work done over the years and his teeth couldn't be better taken care of and my son has been coming since he was little. We have seen all the dentists in the office but I mostly go to Dr. Rolfus who's calm demeanor is what I need to get through my appointment because I have such anxiety when it comes to dental work. He is professional, calming and very efficient in what he does along with his attentive assistants and staff. Karen has been cleaning my teeth for years and does an excellent job and Vicky and Paige up front are always great to see and very helpful with any insurance/payment or appointments you may need. Soon our insurance will be ending which concerns me but we have had very good care over the years and have kept up with our cleanings and any work that needed to be done so I am hoping that with continued preventative care whatever comes up will be doable.
