What a cool tea shop! I just happened to spot it passing by and went in to browse their teas available for purchase to bring home. Their jasmine green tea is very good.

This is the tea and chocolate flight along with the Valentine's Day flight. Lovely

We accidentally went to Smith Tea on National Tea Day, which honestly feels very on-brand for me because I am deeply obsessed with tea. I had no idea it was even a thing, but fate clearly did. The tea was divine. We did the BOGO tea flights and... well... that led directly to a significant amount of tea purchasing. Zero regrets. The service deserves its own love letter. Every single person working this morning was so kind, warm, and genuinely lovely. You can feel that they care, and it makes the whole experience even better. We got to sit by the window and enjoy our flights. What fun ambience. Delicious tea, wonderful humans, and an unexpectedly perfect way to celebrate National Tea Day. Truly such a great experience.

Smith Teamaker on 23rd is such a cute spot. The shop display is always beautiful, and the music selection is calming and nice. It's the perfect place for a solo tea break or a quiet tea time with friends. They offer a small selection of snacks like scones and breads, and there are plenty of tea options, from classic blends to seasonal specials. I love their different tea blends. Today I attended one of their events for a wreath-making workshop, which was a lovely experience. The staff were so sweet and helpful, and combining wreath making with tea tasting was such a wonderful idea. I'd love to come here more often for solo tea time. Just note that seating is limited, so it may not be suit for a larger group.

Stopped by for a cuppa before our early dinner reservations down the street. Went for iced since it was a hot day. Will need to try this hot next time. Staff was friendly. AC was blasting.

Cute place. Nice selections where you live tea or not. Bat seating, table seating, and outside. The service is top notch. I had the golden pineapple lemonade and it was refreshing.

1/3/24- I think I might become an avid tea drinker.... Picked up a combination box of No. 55- Lord Bergamot/ No. 96- Jasmine Silver Tip..(local retailer).. Why ? 1. The colors of the box and because there were two varieties to try. 2. My vegan son has been wanting me to make an Earl Grey vegan scone-.. 3. I've been reading and researching the benefits of Bergamot.. Beautiful dark colors of the tea and such a nice sachet.. Flavor.. five stars- very smooth- and not overpowering with equal flavors.. Sometimes you know.. and this tea is a keeper..!

This place has a lovely aesthetic and kind service. I went here when I was feeling upset after a doctor appointment. Got the lavender haze latte and everything is all good. Super queer, friendly and cool outside seating.

Love this place! You can a choose your own tea flight for $12. If you like one of the teas you selected and want to buy it it is 10% off! Indoor and outdoor seating. Inside has nice AC and is very cute! Bar stool and table seating. Service is very friendly and helpful! Paid street parking nearby.

I like Stumptown Ethiopian cup after cup of coffee in the morning, just a cup or two of Smith Tea in the afternoon and Breakside IPA (not counting) in the evening. Like what I like - my fav better buzzzzzin beverage daily fixes for my persnickety taste buds. As for tea there's no better place than Smith on 23rd for tea choices, friendlily service in a convivial and contemporary setting. Pull up a seat inside or outside on the sidewalk. Sip and relax! Take tea to go. At home I go with Earl Grey, Lord Bergamot black tea with refreshing blackberries, juicy mango and orange peel. Smith sources tea farmers caring for soil and plants with sustainable "quasi-organic" practices. I like quality - like that alot! Why - it's Smith tea for me!

An upscale tea house here in Portland, OR. Enter inside and the aroma of fresh brewed tea will tickle your senses. There you may have your selected tea brewed and made to perfection. The warmth of the tea will keep the cold December weather chills away from you. The place is welcoming and they have a wonderful selection of quality teas.

As a tea lover this is my dream spot. Smith tea is based in Portland also which is cool. You can smell all the teas before picking one. They do all kinds of tea lattes and a tea flight which I definitely want to try when I'm back. I got the seasonal "lovers leap" blend for Valentine's Day which I loved. They put a lot of care and precision into the teas and brewing methods. You can really tell. It's expensive but the quality is top tier. Employees are super friendly as well. Come here!!

I wanted more. The tea I ordered was an iced Jasmine tea. It honestly had no flavor and tasted like water. I was really hoping for a jasmine flavor. They offer other teas on the menu. Maybe if I tried something else, the tea would have tasted better. The staff were not that helpful when I asked about the tea I just received. Noted. You can buy teas to take home as well. I was not impressed.

A cute mix of store and cafe. There are areas to buy the tea leaves and small sample containers so customers can smell the different teas. For the cafe portion, there are many different tea options that customers can choose from. The indoor and outdoor seating is also convenient. I should also note that the outdoor seating has heaters my friend and I weren't freezing while drinking our tea. I had a matcha latte and my friend had black lavender fog. We both enjoyed our drinks. However, at the end of the day for me, the lattes were well made but not something I would purposefully seek out. The people who served us were also lovely and helpful. I will say though, if you are visiting and a tea person, that you should at least check it out once as there is a large variety of teas and they have some limited edition teas that I haven't seen elsewhere. Also note that if you are looking to eat anything aside from a small pastry, there wasn't much to eat, although my friend and I did go later in the day, so that might have played a part.

Early in the morning the coffee shop was pretty busy, especially as stores were not opened yet. As it was my first time in the shop it took me awhile to process the menu- this is definitely a coffee focus place (not for tea drinkers). And the focus seems to be on more coffee forward drinks, rather than jacked up with sugar and other stuff like Starbucks. Coffee prices are inline with other coffee stores in the area. As for seating, the shop provides tables seating. Plus there is a nice coffee bar at the windows, which is perfect for people watching. Plus there is a small coffee bar that faces the barista if you want to watch drinks being made. Parking can be tough in this area as the main shopping street....parking is on the street and off the main street.

The shop is situated in an iconic part of NW 21st; it exudes sophisticated and timeless charm. Stepping inside, you see the historical bones of the building laced with modern touches of hip decor and thoughtful design. It's a bit retro and a bit edgy all while being chic, so it's very well aligned with Portland itself. Sit on a live edge bench! Enjoy a marshmallow stick. Stare at the luxurious wallpaper. But don't let these things deter you from the epic coffee experience that awaits you. Subtly smooth, adequately bold and flavors aplenty... all served with a smile. The staff is incredibly friendly. My drink was even delivered my table by the barista! The bathroom is clean and parking is available on the street. They have all the classics and then some. There were aromas of homemade chai permeating the space as I sipped my coffee. This is an experience that can't be boiled down to 'just coffee.' It's not just another errand when you're in NW either. It's the kind of place where a random stranger next to you says aloud that 'this is the best coffee in Portland' as you walk by. And they mean it. One of my favorite coffee experiences of the year so far. It's memorable on many levels, and the atmosphere aligns so well with the vibrancy of our city. You owe it to yourself, and to maintaining the true spirit of Portland, to stop in, stay and sip a while. There's no better way to identify with Sterling than through firsthand experience. See you there soon.

The space feels cozy, welcoming, and full of personality. I especially loved the little post-it wall where customers can leave behind anything they want a small detail that makes the café feel even more personal and community-driven. What I ordered: Soft Cream Matcha One of the creamiest matchas I've ever had! The soft cream was incredibly fluffy and smooth, while the matcha itself was bold enough to come through with every sip and also had a coconuty essence to it. It had just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the matcha. If you love a rich, creamy matcha, this is definitely one to try. Es-Yen A classic Thai-style iced coffee made with condensed milk. This was strong, sweet, and definitely had that much-needed wake-me-up effect! The condensed milk gave it a creamy sweetness while still allowing the bold coffee flavor to shine through. It was the perfect balance of sweet and strong exactly what I needed. Buttered & Sweetened Condensed Milk Toast I originally had my eye on the pandan toast, but it's clearly a popular choice because it was already sold out earlier in the day! So I went with the buttered and sweetened condensed milk toast instead, and I'm so glad I did. The toast was crispy on the outside, buttery, warm, and finished with that sweet condensed milk flavor. Every bite practically melted in my mouth. The pandan toast is definitely on my list for next time! My Portland experience was made even better by my stop at Kaleido Coffee. The owners were so sweet and welcoming, taking the time to give me recommendations and making sure everyone was taken care of even during a busy rush. Until next time, Portland!

I would come back for the space, but I would order something different next time. ------ This Prince Coffee location is really cute. The ambiance and seating area are aesthetically pleasing, with a bright, airy, and light-colored atmosphere. Ordering was quick and easy, and the drinks came out fairly fast. I visited on a weekend, and because it was raining outside, indoor seating was pretty limited. I was excited to try the drinks, but unfortunately, there was something a little off with the flavor profiles of the ones I ordered. 1. Coconut Jasmine Lemonade: This tasted pretty good overall, but I could barely taste the jasmine since the lemonade dominated most of the drink. The drink also seemed to coagulate a bit, which left behind an unusual texture. 2. Guava Coconut Matcha: This drink was okay, but I was not entirely sure that the matcha and guava complemented each other well. The flavors did not feel as balanced as I was hoping. Overall, I would come back because the cafe has a great ambiance and location. However, I would probably steer away from the drinks I ordered and try something else next time.
