Shout out to the women in the deli for making our New Year's celebration food trays so wonderful! We ordered a lot of food. Two different meat and cheese trays (Italian cuts and "normal" cuts), a pin wheel/wrap tray, condiment tray, a brownie tray, mini cakes tray and two orders of chicken. Plus, I added deli rolls and deviled egg potato salad. I tell you it was a feast! I wish I took better pictures of the food. But everyone started to get into it before I could get good ones. A huge thank you to Sarah, Rosalie and the other woman (sorry I didn't get your name) for making our celebration a joyous one. Everyone was impressed with the quality, freshness and taste. Excellent! Shopping stood line for another 15 to 20 minutes to then be told they are not excepting visa The response I got was go and use the ATM. I am not using the ATM. This is not my fault. Unfortunately there's no nearby Sprouts, Whole Foods or Trader Joe's near my new place so I'm relegated to shopping at this Smith's for most items. In general, it's easy enough to get in and out of, but my main issues are that 1. Organic produce selection is severely limited. 2. Hand baskets are not easy to come by. What I do absolutely love is their clearance selection. I got an iHome speaker for $5 to hook my phone up to. I almost died. I also love to stock up on their super marked down makeup. I refuse to say which brands to protect my secret stash! If Smith's would up their organic selection, I'd definitely be a happier camper. This is my favorite go-to grocery store in town. It's clean, neat and the employees are friendly. They have a store policy that if there's more than a couple of people in line at a register, they will open a new lane. I LOVE that and it means I can get in and out quickly no matter what time of day I shop. The produce, meat and seafood is always fresh and they have great deals. Their deli counter features Boar's Head meats, the best! Make sure you sign up for their free rewards card so you can get all the great deals in the store (you can even download free digital coupons on their website that link to your card), and every time you shop you earn points that give you a discount off gas at their adjacent station. Bring your own reuseable bags and you'll earn 5 extra points per bag! read more

I don't live exactly near this location but have gone to it a couple of times. The store itself is huge and full of a multitude of different products! The coolest parts about this store are the little stands/restaurants inside. You can get anything from fried chicken to pizza in there and I love it! Another thing I absolutely adore in this store is their cheeses! They have such a large selection of cheese and very knowledgeable staff. There is one downside though, I have filled up my five-gallon water jug in there once and the water tasted horrible. So I would steer clear from their water refill section. read more

Out of all the big chain grocery stores, Smith's is my go-to! I know I'm saving money with their app (Freebie Friday's digital coupon), when they have up to 90 percent clearance after holidays on gifts, toys, food, small household items, etc, and as well as gas with their points when you use your rewards card checking out / also link your rewards card with your Smith's app for your digital coupons -- this works ten times better when Smith's does their buy whatever quantity, save ____. This location is not too bad/ busy in the morning before school time let's out. Workers are friendly, they recently changed the layout in this location, and it makes more sense. The bakery area has fresh donuts daily and recently added these huge Texas style donuts which are big as it's container, and fresh when I grabbed it at 11 am. They also added a fresh sushi to go station, and deli area in addition to what they already had with the meat/seafood, deli, bakery area. I love the fact they have several self check out lanes because I love bagging my own groceries ( OCD problems lol ), and there is a customer service representative in the front to help you out if the self check out malfunctions (technology) sometimes. Overall, Smith's is my go to - budget friendly with healthy items, and diverse in food selection. read more

While many stores are struggling during the Corona panic to keep the shelves full Smith's has done a great job. Went to Smith's on s rainbow at 7:45am today and they were mostly fully stocked. Full meat counters, eggs, backed hoods, produce, aspirin, lozenges, etc. The only exceptions were toilet paper and sanitizer which they were limiting quanties. The store was neat, clean and fully staffed with cashiers, baggers and stickers . Good job Smith's!!!! read more

This store is just tightly packed, and I usually make a quick sprint around and leave as soon as possible. The lay out lacks in having me gander and peruse the store. Perhaps best for my waistline, but still I make it a quick trip. I never have found myself doing my big shop here, again the layout. I do spend the time in produce and sometimes a quick Starbucks order and they do have a sitting area. Just simply the store is tightly packed and wait for it... Packed in like a can of sardines. This Smith is located on Rainbow and Windmill (across from the library). They are busy 80% of the time. It will be hard to find parking but if you don't mind with the walk, you can park on the other side of the parking lot. They have just finished with the renovation. Fresh paint, brighter and a more organized shelves. They also have more organics items available both fresh grocery items and dry shelf items, also have more wines and alcoholic beverages section. They are now have a separate sushi bar located in the middle section, close to the bakery and deli. You can have sushi made to order at the spot. Pretty good price. On the side shelf, they had variety of sports, natural beverages. And they added couple more Self Check Out register for convenient. I love how they have more natural products such as Annie, Stonyfield and Horizon products. It makes them competitive with Whole Foods market but lower prices. It's also close to my neighborhood, it's perfect. Service was 5 stars. We went there this morning to get some can foods for donation drive Hurricane Harvey and Irma, the cashier told the manager and he gave us the unopened package so it's easier for us to transport. Makes a big difference when you have 10 stacks of canned foods. The check out process was efficient and effective. They provide map to help people find items througout the store after the renovation. I love Thomas and Thomas..We have been shopping at Smith's since day one..We came in to return a Keurig coffee maker..I put the receipt in my pocket..When I walked in to tell the manager about the return I couldn't find the receipt in my pocket..Kelly the manager right away starting saying she didn't mark it down and treated us like we stole it..I went out to the car and found the receipt..She should've just apologized and called it a day..But no she started saying we should understand she's calling us a thief because everyone steals..She was so rude and hateful and was completely unprofessional..She said the customer isn't always right and I said I disagree and I said my money pays your check and she actually said no it doesn't..She chased me around a corner and started screaming this is my store get out your trespassing when I'm walking out of the store and I just paid!! Power trip big time! Stay away from Smith's when Kelly is working at night!! She's meaner than a snake! How she got the job as manager is beyond me..She can't even manager her emotions. I told her I saw water or some liquid on the floor and someone might fall and she ignored me..She didn't care if someone fell..She isn't a team player..Fire her! I generally love Smith's, but this store's layout is completely nonsensical, making shopping a huge pain. Beauty products are separated from the pharmacy by the frozen food section. Rows of food items are separated by random school supplies and non-food rows. Rows of obscure, non-food items that should be relegated to the corners of the store are placed directly by the registers. The dedicated health food section is particularly annoying, as it doesn't include all the health foods (for example, it includes soy milk, but the soy creamer is in the regular dairy section; it has some frozen meat substitutes, but others are in the regular frozen food section; etc). These items should just be incorporated into the regular store to avoid unnecessary confusion. It takes way too much time to navigate this store to locate the items you are looking for. I came in for one item today, traversed the store twice but couldn't find it, and eventually had to ask for help. Update: against my better judgment, I went back to this Smiths today. I was accosted by a couple in the store for no reason that I can figure. Many people in the store were not wearing masks, against current county regulations, and the store employees did nothing about it. I had to do self checkout and then wait for "assistance" for 5 minutes because I dared to purchase 25 items, which apparently had to be cleared in the system before it would let me pay. This store is trash. I'm never coming back. read more

I literally will never come to this location due to one experience I had one night trying to buy diapers for my daughter 10 mins before they close mind you this location use to be 24hrs the checkout girl was sooooooooooo rude!!!!!! Love shopping in this store, but I HATE that there's no cellphone signal inside the store. If you see a sign that says digital coupon and you forgot to download outside the store then you don't have any ways to load it. Or you'll see a 1 bar signal by the bread section but takes forever to upload and there are a lot of people looking at you because you are not moving... block the aisle! Or if you need to call your kids to say "do we need this, or this?"... you can't! Because even THERE IS NO CELL SIGNAL! I really like this location, especially my girl at the self-checkout let's me be fabulous when I get in my coupon mode. I love Evelyn because she's always incline with all the policies, as am I, but she always wants to make sure that I get the best deal when I stroll down those isles. I love Smith's because it is always well-stocked and the employees seem to always been glad to help. I have been couponing at this location for a few years, however I've taken some time off to focus on my family. When I do my thing, all the cashiers, are extremely accommodating making sure that I'm getting the most bang for my buck. I LOVE the fact that they have a clearance area for practically every department. I can get discounted meats, discounted produce, discounted home essentials and discounted diary for my kids. I just really like how they have that free piece of produce for kids, to keep them well-fed during a quick shopping trip. This location also has a very nice Starbucks, that can get pretty busy depending on the time of day. Sometimes, parking can be a hassle, but other than that, the discounted flowers, gas points & amount of savings I encounter every visit, are the reasons I keep shopping here! read more

I have seen the future- and it is one without older, bossy women manning the check out counters. It's 7:00 am on a Sunday. The stockers are busy unloading their carts and loading the shelves. They hum along like busy little bees. The aisles have a few shoppers, maybe more than I expected, but not that many. Shopping doesn't take long. I don't dally. Small list. One lone cashier is holding court over the check out line. I opt to use this line, instead of my usual self check. Why not help save a job, I think charitably. My mistake. The old lady in front of me checking out, whose wig is sitting askance on her head, is slow. She's talking and trying to stall the cashier, while she attempts to bag her own groceries. At one point, she just stops, and lets the cashier take over. I'm, as the kids say today, thinking to myself, 'whatever'. I mean, it IS a Sunday morning, and 7:00 AM, and What's the Rush?! The two, healthy-eating pair of guys behind me don't seem to antsy, either. So when it's finally my turn, I go to the end of the conveyor belt to bag my own groceries. No teens or special needs kids are in sight, and I figure that will help the cashier. She, however, is trying to proceed with the guy pair and doesn't notice me. Didn't she see me waiting patiently behind the elder, slow lady?! "Hey, how about my stuff?" She looks down from her register, perturbed. "Oh." is all she can muster. As if she's some elementary teacher and I'm being scolded for daring to try and help her. "Well, ring in your rewards number,"she says tight-lipped, looking stiffly down her glasses the whole time. "Let me try my phone number," I say, as I tip tap some numbers. "That's not it." I try again. "That's not it. Oh, here." She punches some numbers in. (and to the "saving" tune of 79 cents. Whoo Hoo. I'm soooo happy now). She swivels and sends the remaining items in a flurry to the end of the belt. Flustered by her demeanor, I drop my pen trying to get my wallet in my pocket. Meanwhile, this calm Sunday is filled with her looking at me like 'why can't you go faster' from her way-too-long-for-her-age, hippy 'Rocker chick' hair that reminds me of Weird Al Yankovic. Except, I like Weird Al. I finish bagging my groceries, but not before she starts flinging the next persons groceries down the conveyor, crashing into mine. So, this is how Sundays are here. Stopped in here on Sunday morning after the Thai food fair at the Chaiya Meditation Monastery...the last Smiths we went to didn't have frozen Tilapia, and we needed to pick some up. This location is a lot cleaner, and much more organized than some other locations that I've been to. Their seafood selection is wonderful, and everything looked fresh. The produce looked great, and they were fully stocked, too, which is unusual for me to see. If this location was closer, I would go there all the time. read more

Meh. I've experienced better. Hubby and I have lived in this area for about three years and the first year we were here I used to shop at this location quite frequently. I stopped because of their lack of organic food. I switched "close" grocery shopping at Albertson's. What a difference a few years makes! A few weeks ago I ran into this location primarily to go to US Bank (our bank) and was AMAZED at how crowded and crazy it was in the middle of the day! A weekday at 2pm and it was hard to find a parking space. It took me ten minutes to get through the parking lot and another ten minutes to walk through the traffic, get to the door, find a shopping cart...I decided I would not buy anything there and just use the banking area and leave. When ditching my shopping cart, I walked across the front of the store and it was filled with mothers and loose running children out of control. It was like a circus show. The worst part of the experience was I overheard two young grocery bagger guys talking about how drunk they were last night and how they had to work all day today still drunk...really?!??! I can not imagine what it's going to be like when they get the HUGE apartment complex open across the street. No thanks. I will stick to Sprouts, F&E and WF. :( read more

This is my local grocery store. My fiancé and I absolutely love this place, compared to other grocery stores around our area. For us, we both feel like their produce is the best quality with highly affordable prices. Every time we go in, there's different sales on useful items. The layout makes sense to me. You first enter with produce and make your way over to their breads, deli, meats, and then their aisles have each category. We usually come in contact with at least one employee there and they are always kind to us. I am a big fan of their self-checkout! It's so much easier and convenient. The system is updated regularly and works smoothly. This location also has their own Starbucks place and a US bank! Both of these places have friendly staff and excellent service. We dread having to go anywhere else to shop! Smith's is just amazing for us and has been for over 2 years! read more

I stop by here earlier to buy groceries and I past by there pasteries department and I just couldn't help my self so I bought one of their gourmet cupcake. I have bought cup cakes and other types of pasterie before, but never in there gourmet sections and have always loved them especially the cheap prices, this was no exception. I'm only giving this 4 stars because even though the cupcake was moist and the icing had an actual delicate flavor of chocolate and caramel. The cupcake it self tasted like a typical store bought cake which reminds you of those box cake you take home and bake. Still it did not taste like a typical supermarket cupcakes which has icing that are to sweet because all you can taste is the overuse of confectioner sugar not naming names...."wallmart" lol. read more

Is it weird I am reviewing a grocery store? I think NOT!! Haha how many times are we here anyway, I know I am all the time! I have an excuse though since I have a three year old! (Right that works!) The new Smiths on Decatur and flamingo has got to be my favorite even though I can't find its location here -probably bc it opened this year? It's very clean and there is always a security guard who remembers you and helps everyone!! The main reason for this review was I went to grab a couple things right after the mayweather pac fight and it was EMPTY!! The store was empty in beer and parking lot but it worked for me because the store was all to myself! And did I mention this was the second of the month, I never go shopping then bc it's when everyone has the food stamps and they use hundreds worth, basically clean house!! Side note: I don't always enjoy smith's pricing on food but just check there ads they usually have good pricing on water and fruit. The other pricing reason I go to them is their diapers are about the same price as Walmart, without the long ass lines! I buy size 6 for $16.99 for 80? I believe ? I was not impressed with the bakery. We ordered an elsa cake. The stock photo provided was so much different then what we were given. The frosting also tasted horrible. It tasted like stale fondant. The cake was super dry and flaky. So not only did the cake look bad but it tasted horrible. We have always got our cakes from smiths but will stop after this. read more

The Smith's in our neighborhood. We don't go here often enough. The prices are better than most grocery stores in town, especially if you have a Smith's card. If you shop there often enough you can get gas at a discounted price as well. The staff in the deli are very friendly, always willing to give you a sample. Shelves are always stocked. Store is clean.
