Hot Honey Rack O'Back Ribfeast
Mat R.

Very good food and very good service! I have yet to have a negative experience here, and the visits have always been top quality. Today I had the hot honey rack of ribs with loaded mashed and bbq baked beans. Everything came out hot & fresh, and was plenty of food to fill me - and have leftovers afterwards. Our server was very attentive and was checking on us consistently, but not too much. The prices here are also very reasonable given the portions you are receiving. The restaurant itself is good sized, and has plenty of seats for small or large groups. The ambiance is definitely casual but kept together very well. Overall if you are looking for bbq at a good price, check this place out!!

Always a good meal and sometimes they have really good deals and specials brisket was tender and delicious

Ripped seat

Meh. The waitress was ok, the food was ok, but as a group of 4 at a place that was completely empty, we got put a a booth that was super dirty, had tatertots in the crevice, and the seats were ripped. Just meh.

Pick two bourbon chicken breast about the size of a small pigeon, cheddar jalapeno sausage, cold broccoli and frozen garlic toast

Usually stray away from chains but my father likes them and me the wife enjoy the buy one get one wings from time to time. But tonight the food portions compared to price were almost downright embarrassing. Decided to start with the mini nachos which I assumed where just a half Portion considering the full was $19.99 so for 9.99 we got about 7 chips in a 6" cast iron pan, I know it said mini but this was ridiculous. Then I ended up getting the pick 2 with two sides, the chicken wasn't even 6oz and the end of my fork was half the size of the breast along with it being paper thin, the steamed broccoli was one degree above cold, the jalapeno cheddar sausage was tastey along with the garlic toast you get in the market basket frozen section def not worth $23. Want to love it but just not worth it esp when most of the food seems to be frozen Sysco heat and go and not scratch made or cut. The server was very nice and attentive. The hostess has the personality of a dead moth

Slow service. Food was dry and we waited 30 minutes and the food was mediocre. Not worth it, In my opinion.

Poor quality food and service. The only reason they get two stars is for being open late for drinks and cheap appetizers.

Waited 15 minutes and not a single person came to our table. Left and went to bahama breeze down the street.

Since they don't open until 4:00 PM and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, it was surprising that one of their signature barbecue items was already unavailable. The service was friendly throughout our visit. Our server was pleasant, although we did have to remind them a couple of times about the straws and plates we had requested. The food itself was enjoyable. The agave-glazed wings were the best out of all our meals. Charred, flavorful, and something I'd definitely order again. The brisket was tender and well prepared, and while the burnt ends were cooked nicely, they were a bit sweeter than my personal preference. Unfortunately, the apple cider vinaigrette for the salad didn't agree with us afterward, although that may simply come down to individual sensitivity. Portions were generous, making the meal a good value. My only other suggestion would be to serve the food a little hotter, as everything cooled off fairly quickly. One thing this location has going for it is the convenience. There's plenty of parking, and it's much easier to get to than the Boston locations. Overall, delivered solid barbecue with generous portions and friendly service. If they can keep popular menu items like ribs available a little longer and tighten up a few small details, it would make for an even better experience.

I'm going to be controversial and say this is better than Terry Blacks! The Texas brisket was beautifully smoked with a little bit of char on the outside and incredibly moist inside and so tender. This is simply world class barbecue. Hubba's is consistent. I've been there several times and I've enjoyed the ribs, the chicken and the very well crafted pulled pork. The sides are wonderful. The baked beans are some of the best I've had anywhere. The coleslaw is authentic and fresh. The team at Hubba's is awesome. Friendly and helpful. They serve up BBQ meats (ribs, pulled pork, brisket), smashburgers, sandwiches, sliders, wraps, steak subs, chicken tenders, loaded fries, onion rings, sides, cold drinks, and cheesecake slices. The prices seem fair. They offer online ordering (Square) and DoorDash delivery & pickup (higher pricing). While I was in the neighborhood, I decided to place an online order through Square for pickup at Hudson Smoke Shack. I ordered the 1 Meat (ribs) & 2 Sides (macaroni salad & brussel sprouts) ($18 plus tax) and Pulled Pork Loaded Fries ($12 plus tax). My order was ready for pickup within 15 minutes. There are several outside tables & seating along the front of the stand. I enjoyed half of the food outside on a warm sunny evening. The BBQ ribs were very tender with some soft fat and lean meat. The jalapeno & bacon macaroni salad and the roasted lemon balsamic brussel sprouts were pretty good sides. The loaded fries were comprised of the standard golden fries topped with plenty of soft pulled pork, sweet & spiced BBQ sauce, melted cheese, & scallions. I would come back here just to try some other things like the smashburgers and ribeye steak subs.

First off, the staff are SO friendly here! The bar lady who was describing the specials to me seemed wicked eager about a few of them. I wondered if she had practiced that speech in front of a mirror every night before bed. Or perhaps she really does love those specials (even though I can't remember what they are at the moment). Next, we have the interior. Now....a brief background for the non-locals not familiar with the history of this location: In the not too distant past, this place used to be called "Donna's Place", which was subsequently shutdown for reasons unbeknownst to me. However, the general layout is similar to its predecessor; with the exception of the table rearrangements. They ostensibly retained the bar and even threw in a few add-ons to the overhead. Also, just a caveat when you first arrive: you have to use the side entrance instead of the one facing the street. Okay. We gotta talk about the coffee real quick. While the roast itself presents a nice bold flavor, I gotta tell ya....this coffee mug is HUUUUUGE!! I swear to you they bring out like, a bucket of coffee. Thing must be at least 16 ounces! I took a picture of it next to a standard size sugar container for comparison. Friggin' HUUUUUUGE! So far, my all time go-to breakfast is the build your own omelet with cheddar cheese, tomato, and onions with a side of homefries and toast. I've had this combo with and without ham, plus a side of bacon. But I was really curious about the infamous homemade hash. And so it was. I'm still the misfit who prefers canned hash over homemade. However, this one exceeded my expectations. Ordinarily, I'm forced to get used to the trend of homemade hash consisting of shoe-leathery brisket mixed with potatoes, all of which is typically bland. But not this hash. GP's hash is surprisingly well seasoned and tender! It's strange, but almost like a combination of canned and homemade. The corned beef is minced similarly like canned, only with a different texture. It's tricky to explain to folks unfamiliar with hash. All I'm saying is....definitely give this one a try. The omelets here are phenomenal! That's all there is to say, really. Sure, they could be seasoned up a bit (along with the potatoes). But this is the restaurant biz. Chefs have to play it safe when it comes to salt, after all. As many know, I'm always down for supporting my local hot spots. And this one will certainly remain a continual revisit for moi. Therefore, I'll give The Good Place 5 sensationally built omelets with all the fixins and a side of hash out of 5.
