We often stop in here for lunch while touring the retail mecca that is Bald Hill Road. Of all the chain restaurants in the area, Smokey Bones is a favorite of ours. The food is a good as you can expect from a chain. The BBQ dishes are fine and the sauces are tasty. Since they've changed the menu, I usually opt for the turkey burger - it is seriously good. They have a bunch of options for toppings, sides, etc. In our experience, the food always comes out really fast so it's perfect for a quick bite with the kids. I've never had a problem with the service, it's always pleasant. The last time we went I had a $10 coupon so the bill for lunch was $20 including tip and tax. If you suffer from Hyponatraemia then this is the place for you. The wings, the brisket, everything was just so salty. It's a fun atmosphere, so it would be good to go with friends to just have appetizers and drink some beer. Other than that don't expect much. read more

I also ordered the cobb salad which was very good. my husband ordered us the sampler appetizer which was just ok in my opinion. But he really liked it. Its been just the second time I've been here but it's already my favorite place in Warwick. Last time I ordered the burger with pulled pork and it was awesome. This time the St. Louis rack and was divine! Perfectly cooked and it melts in your mouth. I didn't even had to use my hands cause it was so soft it would slide out of the bones... Just perfect! The sliced turkey dish was less appealing than high school cafeteria food. The bread was so hard you couldn't buy into it. Poor customer service from the start, first time ordering from here as I recent moved to the area and will not be going back. Ordered the pulled pork meal and boneless wings BOGO. The food, drinks and service remain top shelf. We always sit at the bar on a weekend and the beer is cold, and the service, especially from Roy, impeccable. Came stumbling in here one night about 45 minutes before close while I was visiting family in Rhode Island over Christmas vacation. Took a good friend with me, despite us cutting it close we still had a happy waitress and the food was as good as it was when I was a kid. Worst experience ever. Ordered an ice tea and sangria. Received a coffee and a margarita. 3 steaks were ordered well done, 2 came rare, 1 medium. One steak was missing the mushroom sauce that came highly recommend by the waitress. Think she would've realized that. One dish was missing broccoli. One chicken sandwich was pink/ raw in the middle. My beef brisket sandwich was far from brisket. More like a burnt, greasy Philly cheesesteak. Everything we ordered was wrong. Not only did the waitress mess everything up, so did the kitchen. Manager seemed aggravated with us when we didn't even complain about how horrible it was. Just asked steak to be cooked. Will never be back ever again. Haven't been since the start of covid. Went there Sunday, 6/19/22. What a disappointment. Sat at bar. The bartender didn't know anything about the wines they sold. Ok. Asked for a bones beer. Nope, don't have that anymore. I think it's actually Killian red ale. And the draft choices are few. Ordered 2/3 rack of baby back ribs to split with my Gfriend. We used to go there and split the rib order every few months for years. The size of the rack of ribs was very small. Less than half the size they were before the new ceo, James O'Reilly was installed. I guess he made some drastic changes. The baked potato was also downsized. Before the changes the rib rack was HUGE and it came with a paper bag for trash. Not anymore. I guess the bag is no longer needed since the rib bones are tiny. Several years ago I took my daughter to Applebee's because she asked me to. She ordered the ribs. They were small and lousy. Next time I took her to SB and she was amazed at the difference. Now SB ribs are maybe a bit larger than Applebee's. Nope. No more SB for us. read more

I can honestly say everything on the menu has always impressed me. From apps to dessert and everything in between, the food is excellent and consistent. I love that she is always so bubbly (that's hard to find these days) when I go to a restaurant the waitstaff will determine whether or not I return again. I could love the food somewhere but never go back due to poor service. We felt neglected by the staff and when they did pay attention to us it seemed like they just wanted us out of there. My burger was over cooked and they forgot the majority of the toppings. our wings were burnt and the loaded nachos had dry pulled pork. Bland coleslaw and the staff brought our meal with no time to enjoy our appetizer, which we didn't enjoy anyways. Hawaiian ribeye is so so good. Its always made perfect. We went saturday night and only waited 5 minutesbfor a seat. We figured we'd celebrate Valentines Day early. Service was very attentive and we even had the manager come by and ask us how everything was. My husband got the smokes wings but he re ally loved his mapel orange bourbon. When you order a drink they ask if you'd like to make it a double, when you get the check you find out that a single is only 1 oz and a double is 2 oz. industry standard sets a single at 1.5 oz, a double at 3. So they're shortchanging you and charging extra. You have to ask for every single thing; napkins, coaster, wet wipes, water, condiments. The bar staff is friendly but super inattentive. Before I found out about how they're ripping you off on drinks I would have ordered more but I couldn't get any of the three bartenders attention. I finally had to go around to the other side of the bar to pay (where I was asked "where are you sitting?" by the girl who'd been vaguely ignoring our whole side that night). First time eating here and the last! Saturday evening, about 6:00 and the place was not super busy buy had a steady flow. No rhyme or reason why the bathrooms looked as if they just got a football team trampling through there. You would think someone would be checking on the condition of the bathrooms at the start of a busy Saturday night after all it was not some gas stations' bathroom. Food was very bland ordered the pulled pork sandwich dry, bland, hardly any meat in the sandwich "where's the PORK?" and i have had Chili's pulled pork and it ROCKS! by comparison! Smokey's left a lot to be desired! My Western Chicken Club sandwich was very bland and the bread was all soggy at the bottom. Guess it sat too long waiting to be picked up. Never was even asked if I would prefer any other bread besides the white bread it comes on. (waiters fault) Ordered the Skinny Rita and it was full of Rose's Lime Juice tasted good but that makes it no longer a "Skinny Rita" because the RLJ is a sugar syrup! So much for my calories for this evening! Also we ordered the pretzel bread, $8.49 for an order of 4? You would expect small loaves of bread at that price, well all you get is tiny loaves the thickness of a real carnival pretzel! that was outrageous! i would have never ordered that if I though all we were going to get is basically an $8.00 large pretzel cut into 4 pieces. Even at the Fair it is about $3.00! Never returned any of the food, just the Margaritas twice because they were not the low cal Ritas. Finally a different bar tender made the drink that tasted as it should. (Low calorie Rita.) Our waiter seemed to be a nice guy but his service skills also left a lot to be desired to say the least. He did try to please us but Management needs to train these servers much better. I guess I'm used to the quality of food and service we used to get when we lived in California. That's my problem always trying to find an eatery that can remind me of home, that is nearly an impossible thing to do around these parts. :( Oh well, guess I will have to keep trying to find the right one. The parking was good, hence the one star rating... I've been there at least 20 times and let's just say I'm a glutton for horrible service. If the fired pickles weren't so good we'd never go back. For the first 8 out of 10 times we went there the orders came out wrong or not at all! Literally sat there once with a party of 6 all the food came out except our friends meal and the waitress didn't notice for 15 minutes. Wings constantly under sauced or completely wrong all together. The last time we went we had a male waiter who came to the table took my friends food away before he was even done eating it and left the check stating " I have a difficult table over there (pointed to it)... You guys all set?" In conclusion fried pickles to die for... Service sucks!!!!!!!! Update 1/3/16 Went back to give them another shot, figured hopefully things should be different and to my surprise they were! Jk. A friend and I had the pleasure of having a server named William Carter at dinner tonight at Smokey Bones in Warwick, Rhode Island. Without a doubt, William is THE most pleasant, competent, efficient, articulate server either of us have had in years. We travel the world and eat out quite often at everything from 5-star to the most casual hamburger restaurants. My friend's order had to be redone because he ordered - what he thought was - the chicken in the menu photo. Unfortunately, the meal that arrived was nothing like the photo of what he thought he ordered. William handled it masterfully. He assured us that it was no problem. He told my friend to begin eating his baked potato and vegetable and he would see that the chicken - my friend thought he ordered - would be prepared as quickly as possible and he would bring it to the table when it was ready. In between tending to his customers, William thoroughly cleaned newly vacated tables, swept the floor with a carpet sweeper - always stopping at our table periodically to see if we needed or wanted anything else. I truly hope this review is seen by the Manager at that particular Smokey Bones in Warwick, RI. William Carter deserves recognition for being the Best of the Best. I came to smokey bones for lunch today, and I left very satisfied. I had exceptional customer service, great atmosphere, and the food was spot on delicious. I always tend to sit at the bar when I go to restaurants, and today I had the pleasure of having Jenna behind the bar this afternoon. She was fantastic, and has excellent customer service. Whenever I needed something, it was done in a matter of seconds. My glass was always full, she remembers what you drink, and pays attention to everything that you say. She certainly makes you feel welcomed, and I will definitely be back in the near future. read more

If I could give this play zero stars I would, this place is in desperate need of retraining, and supervision, never been greeted with a bunch of attitudes, and completely being ignored. When you have to repeatedly say excuse me to the bartender, because she has her back to you with the only other three people sitting at the bar who her friends are, and she looks at you like you're bothering her at 10 o'clock at night. It makes it very clear why there's nobody else sitting at this bar. She is in the wrong business, I can't believe management can't identify that. Too busy on your cell phone, or laughing with your friends at the bar to take care of the guests, this was my first time here, and my last time here. I think her name was Christine, But not sure because she never introduced herself. I don't see this place being opened very much longer, at the hands of these kind of employees. It's Saturday night and came here for the1st time with my gf planning on having a casual BBQ dinner over beer. Not sure if it was the fact that we were in a corner table at the end of the place or that our waitress completely "forgot" us. We got our beer pretty quick which was a plus. I builded my own burger and more than half of it came wrong along with one of my sides that never came after asking 3 times. My gf's dish came with pulled pork with was dry with no sauce on it and then once we got our food it took 20 minutes for someone (the hostess, not waitress) to come ask us if everything was good which it wasn't and at that point they ruined it for us. Manager came over and didn't act like he cared and asked what they could do. While he was speaking to another waitress for 10 minutes 5 feet away trying to figure out what to do and reprimanding our actual waitress right in front of us he came over and said he gave me 50% off on my meal and walked away before I could tell him again I was still waiting on that side.
