3 way ribs, jalapeno sausage, brisket, potato salad and macaroni
    Anthony M.

Whenever I travel, I always go on a little BBQ sojourn to see what others are doing. Last year's work trips took me to Cleveland... ‍Pass and Long Beach. With no car, Compton was too far for Bludso's so again pass.Personal vacation took me to Honolulu. Hawaiian BBQ is good but I wanted some southern Q and the only place was on the other side from Waikiki so another pass. This year's first work trip is to San Antone. Now Texas is one of the BBQ kingdoms in our country. All kinds of mom and pops with good q. San Antone never seems to make that list of BBQ stops tho. I perused Uber Eats and some looked gross (I mean you would post THAT as your advertisement???) I can across Smokey Mo's. Looked good. Ordered from Uber Eats. The driver picked up the order but didn't deliver. I guess (allegedly) he got a free 3 way, and a bottle of sauce and salsa‍. I re- placed my order. Beautiful looking plate. This 3 meat combo or 3 way as we say in the Town was... EIGHTEEN DOLLA!!! $18 for 3 ribs, 2 sausages and hella brisket. This plate woulda been $42 with nowhere near the portions. $18!!!!! You see that plate below??!! $18!!! Ribs. Smokey, tender and just enough bite so that you know you're eating meat. Not rough at all. Sausage excellent. Almost coarse ground like I like my sausage (Taylor's ). The brisket tho was the star as it should be it Texas. I got like 4 nice slices of brisket. Very flavorful with the right amount of bark and a little fat but ooh so tender and juicy. The amount of brisket I got alone woulda cost me $25 back home. Sides were good. Don't judge me on my macaroni likings. y'all already know what kind of Mac I like and abhor‍( can I keep my Black card please). Look. Not only was this an extreme value, but outstanding q. I see this is a mini chain. Come to the Bay man and make a killin' Says Go.Eat.That... San Antone is on the Q map!! Oh!!! One ding. This is a pet peeve of mine and I guess I should start traveling with my own utensils. I explicitly asked for utensils as I'm traveling. Alas none came. This happens to me often. I'm sure the sides woulda been better if I had a spoon, fork or a spork rather than eating the sides with a left over rib bone‍

First off- LOVE LOVE LOVE that they have SPUDS! But.. I opted out of indulging on one today. I went for the 1 meat combo instead. Burnt ends, the charro beans and a side salad with ranch. 13.99$ They have the quintessential white bread bagged and ready if you want it- containers of BBQ so you can decide how much or little you want PLUS- they have a wonderful cauldron of WARM BBQ sauce to up the game. They also have a sald bar type situation with pickled jalapeños, sliced onions, pickles and a couple choices of sauces. Love the decor - some country music playing to help - a variety of desserts including Banana Pudding, pecan pie and apple pie. Their menu is pretty great including a limited LUNCH MENU perfect for any budget. Recommend 100%

Mid. Wanted bbq and this was the first place that popped up in my google search. It had good Yelp reviews so I decided to drive over there. I got the two meat plate with brisket, chicken, mac & cheese and cheesy potatoes. I also got their limited time chocolate pie. Everything smelled sooo good. The pie looked great, the potatoes looked bland but the rest looked good. The chicken was yummy! It had a lot of pepper flavor but was good. The Mac and cheese reminded me of chick-fil-a's and was good too. The brisket was terrible. It was tough and chewy. The potatoes were an absolute shit show. The worst potatoes I've ever had. No flavor whatsoever and tasted like it was sitting in water. The pie was not that good either. It was super sweet but tasted like they used a super cheap chocolate or oil instead of butter to make it. I took a few bites and some bites had an odd taste to the crust. Then there would be a random huge chunk of chocolate chip. Chocolate fudge pies are my absolute favorite so I was HIGHLY disappointed with this. All together, my 2 meat plate and slice of chocolate pie cost me $23.25. I only ate the Mac & cheese and chicken. Everything else was thrown away. I ordered through the drive thru and the service was pretty quick which was nice. Overall, I will not be back.

Had the double meat plate...all brisket with Pinto Beans, and Potato Salad and a large Dr. Pepper from the drive thru... Perfection! Thanks guys!

Sandwich combo. Brisket sandwich with green beans. Choice of beverage was the best lager around.

Texas brisket and $3 Yuengling. Best lunch in San Antonio. What is it with San Antonio and great food in strip malls?

The employees take this place from 3 stars to 5. Even the manager checked on us for no reason, that was nice. So it was my first time. I got the double meat sandwich, extra lean which costs .50 extra The brisket sandwich to be honest tasted to me like Arbys, which I do like. The mac n cheese was ok, watery more than creamy. I am surprised they do not have french fries, but the buttered potatoes were ok. Love the generously stocked condiment station, plenty of pickles and onions which I love to pile on my brisket. The banana pudding actually had bananas! The chocolate cake was a good basic cake just like you make at home, nothing fancy, but hits the spot. Generous slice for about $5, great to take home to eat with ice cream. There was a large lunch time crowd of mostly men on work lunch, retirees, and several soldiers. Everybody seemed to be regulars here and really like the food. I definitely will eat here again.

I went here for dinner while on a business trip to San Antonio, and on the recommendation of several local coworkers. When I realized that it was a chain, my expectations dropped significantly. I ordered the brisket (because Texas) and jalapeño sausage. The place is setup for quick service, and seems like your typical BBQ joint, so nothing special as far as ambiance, but basically what I was expecting from a quick service restaurant. The food came out so quickly, that I barely had time to fill my drink and sit down when they called my order. The brisket was flavorful, juicy and melt-in-your-mouth tender, much to my surprise. The jalapeño sausage was pretty tasty, but the casing was kind of tough. Not a deal-breaker, but a little chewier than I was expecting. The mac and cheese was flavorful and creamy, and the potato salad was pretty decent as well. While this isn't the best BBQ I've ever had, for a chain, it was definitely respectable.

Decent Casual BBQ restaurant with a drive thru. We arrived later in the evening for dinner, our first time here. Friendly greeting upon entering by all employees and menu is posted above ordering counter. We both decided on the 2 meat plates with 2 sides. I ordered the brisket, chicken, and double order of green bean for my 2 sides. I really wanted to have a salad as a double side, but the cashier said that was not possible. Maybe that can be made as an option in the future. Self serve complimentary condiment bar includes jalapeños, pickles, onions, salsas, lemons, limes, and their BBQ sauce. The brisket was awesome! Melt in your mouth awesome. Chicken was great too, but the brisket shines. We enjoyed the BBQ sauce as well. I didn't particularly care for the green beans-they reminded me of canned green beans. Not my fave. Plate also came with 2 slices of white bread. Overall good, with maybe a small tweak in menu. Friendly service and clean restaurant.

The employees were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Great customer service like that really makes a difference. The food was absolutely delicious. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was a 10/10--full of flavor with a nice spicy kick that wasn't overwhelming. The regular sausage was also a 10/10 and just as impressive. The brisket was juicy, tender, and loaded with flavor in every bite. For sides, we tried the macaroni and cheese with bacon, and it was phenomenal. It seemed the boats going up and down the River portion of the Walk were busier. While we were walking I had my eyes open for a table with a view. We stopped at Four Brothers. The receptionist went over suggestions on the menu on her outdoor podium. Cornbread in the shape of Texas, shareable items like Dino ribs for $82, plus Pork Shank and ice tea completed our order. Everyone was very friendly. We had an exceptional view and we had more than enough food that we had to ask for take out boxes. My favorite was the Mac & cheese though I'm usually not a fan. This dish used cork screw shaped pasta and it was moist and not stuck together. I had to share a photo of it with Sweetie who is in Tokyo right now. Doc liked the pimento for the cornbread. As it was almost 9 pm we decided to pass on the boat ride but just walk on the other side with shops and more eateries. We're back on the road again tomorrow to Arizona.

Our server was able to water mine down slightly- since it was very sweet, but love knowing that it was freshly made. Complimentary chips and salsa always a plus, and we were able to order some spicy salsa to accompany at no charge. My shrimp plate was delicious! 2 skewers of nicely cooked and seasoned shrimp atop salsa with perfectly cooked cilantro rice and a fresh leaf salad. A half slices avocado accompanied my plate. Oh how I love avocados. I thoroughly enjoyed my plate. The chicken al carbon was also a good choice - half a chicken that was juicy, not dry. The avocado toast was beautiful and the pecan salsa was quite interesting. The female performers during our brunch in the room, made it very hard for all of us to have conversations. The volume echoed loudly in the room, so it was very hard to speak and understand each other. Although a great idea, maybe outdoor patio area might be more suitable.
