This is probably the best barbecue in the upstate. There are several good ones- but the Pig is outstanding!

Decent food. For the prices the portions are terribly small. You can go to another bbq place in Easley and get the buffet for cheaper or get a togo family meal also for cheaper. It is a nice building and the staff is friendly and attentive but I'm not so sure what all the hype is about. Much better reasonably priced places down the road. read more

Finally got to try this place after touring Clemson University. Everyone is nice here and friendly. When you first sit down, they bring you a basket of homemade pork skins which are fantastic. The sweet tea is really good. All the servers were​ friendly and gave everything to us in a timely manner. Will definitely come weekly if I go to Clemson! read more

2nd time at Smokin Pig but 1st time at this location and I think I liked this one better! BBQ so good the sauce is definitely not needed but I can't keep my hands off their sauce! We are from Cleveland Ohio and after eating here I wish there was one there. Hands down best brisket ever and we have some good BBQ in our neck of the woods. Pulled pork and pulled chicken also outstanding. The sides were exceptional as well. I had the potato salad and sweet potato fries which came with honey and powdered sugar. Such a wonderful experience! Our server Kendall went over and above. And literally every bite of food couldn't have been better. I got the pulled pork sandwich and fried okra it was so much food. The food: Five Stars for knocking amazing food out of the ballpark! The Pork I ordered, portion size large, the smell, what your brain remembers from backyard BBQ's! And that Heavenly, mouth watering, succulent meat! Sweet potato, almost cried from joy, it was perfect, and the oh my goodness Jalapeño Grits! Got a quart to take on the road, good! A biscuit, chitlins for an appetizer! For dessert we got cobbler to go! The best! A 5 star must stop! The exterior is so inviting! Great signage, an old truck with a bed of flowers and a big pig ! They also have a drive thru! Inside, a room full of pews on the left for the worth your while wait! Greeted by the sweetest humans on the planet! The decor is perfect, down home, country. Mix that with the smell of the food, and oh my goodness! Worth the drive. Stay away from the food chains, and drive to heaven in a building. You will be satisfied! We're coming back! Definitely our favorite place for BBQ. Friendly staff, great prices, and absolutely great BBQ. The meat is tender and tasty. They looked like leftovers off of someone else's plate, recooked and give to me as a full rack! Disappointed to say the least! So, for mind you $40 bucks = 9 ribs, small cup of beans, small cup of jalapeno grits and French fries which consisted of a very small handful (supposedly a large order) This will be my last $40 spent there on an overpriced, overcooked, plate of bones!!!!! This was my first time at The Smokin Pig in Easley, having frequented the one in Pendleton. I was more than satisfied with everything at this location, just as I am in Pendleton. The food is awesome as usual with huge portions and the dining area is large to accomodate all the diners that stop by. The indoor wait space is nice and comfortable as well with the monster TV playing Netfllix an added bonus (the person I was going to eat with ended up driving to the Pendleton location so I hung out for a while in the wait area). The staff is friendly as usual too. This location has everything one would expect from The Smokin' Pig and I am very thankful for a location closer to Greenville. I moved to the area from Kansas City and I haven't been too blown away with the bbq around here... until now. I had pretty much given up on brisket down here all together... until now. This is some of the best brisket I've had. Not just here in the south, I'm talking ever. Big, delicate, juicy, melt in your mouth brisket with good flavor and smoke. I went with the classic sides of fries and baked beans, both were good, but I'm anxious to go back and try more. Everything looked and sounded awesome. I had heard about the one in Clemson, but had never eaten there. People praised the Brisket up and down. So, when the one opened in Easley, near me, I was looking forward to it. It was a disappointment. The smoke flavor is overwhelming and the meats were all dry and overcooked. Brisket is supposed to fall apart, ribs should fall off the bone and chicken isn't supposed to be dry and pasty. The list of vegetables didn't include anything green except for fried okra.....not even a garden salad. Now, I know that I live in a place where "well done" is the norm, because they are afraid of catching something, but this type of cooking should not fall into that category. I was sorely disappointed. Especially since I had just eaten Brisket at the CorkScrew BBQ in Texas. Everything was juicy and falling off of the bone quality. I thought for sure that The Smoking Pig was our fix for Texas. Not even close :( read more

Oh my goodness people!! Best restaurant in town hands down. You can tell they love what they do. The meat is SO stinkin' good you'll feel like you're back home circa 14 years old and enjoying your favorite home cooked meal at your grandma's house. That good ya'll!! Me and my husband got a Togo order from here we were not pleased at all not as good as the one in Pendleton or williamston. We were not given any sauce with our BBQ or brisket. This place is the reason I live for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They do barbeque and it is the best in the Upstate. Now, they are only open in the three days of the week mentioned above, but it is well worth the wait. I get the pulled pork platter with potato salad and a roll and, honestly, there is not a thing on my plate that makes me turn up my nose. They also serve pork rinds, sort of the way Mexican restaurants serve tortilla chips and salsa. The pork rinds have a dusting of paprika flavored yumminess on them. The pulled pork has the right amount of crunchy to soft and chewy ratio to it. Also the staff is very friendly and attentive. Go and get you some! read more

This place was a sight for sore eyes! I've recently moved to the area and finally had a chance to try this location out. We had a dismal evening stuck at the AT&T store for hours and I kept watching the clock knowing Smoking Pig closes at 9. We made it out and rushed over to arrive 15 minutes before closing. I was a bit worried they would be ticked off we came so late, but we were greeted with warm smiles and GREAT hospitality and warm and delicious food. My husband ordered the pulled pork platter with Brunswick stew and naner puddin', I ordered the smoked chicken/pork combo with fried okra and jalapeño grits. what a delightful meal! I was super impressed by everything I tried even the sweet tea! The service was wonderful and the bonus is they don't put soy sauce in ANY of their sauces. I have a severe allergy and it's difficult to find especially mustard or dark based sauces without it. I felt like I won the jackpot! The okra tasted like fluffy/crunchy donuts and the grits were well balanced and amazing! I can't say enough about our experience.
