Oh my goodness, yum. First things first, they have a potato taco. Yes, I said potato. There is nothing else in it but lettuce, their awesome sauce, and lightly fried potatoes. Amazing is the word I would use to describe it. Their crispy flour tortillas make any taco better by the way. And their fish tacos are awesome too. A lot more fish in them than Rubio's or Fins. Snapper Jacks used to be my favorite taco place but the last few times over the past few months, grease has dripped (oozed) out of my taco and I have left with an awful stomach ache. I will maybe try them again in the future but I recommend to stay away from the fried taco shells. Next time I will go healthier with soft tortilla. read more

The Snapper Jack I ordered lacked one thing, the sauce. It was dry. What was with the, wheat germ, cream of wheat, or corn meal that was sprinkled on the pico de galo an the other sauces? This is a regular stop for the family and work mates. I love the fajita burrito with whole beans....if you eat the entire thing you can skip a few meals. My wife makes two meals out of one burrito. Chips are great and plentiful...salsa bar has nice selection. read more

Snapper jack is great. It's not traditional Mexican food but still worth a try. I got the shrimp burrito and it was fantastic. Shrimp was cooked perfectly, not overdone. The shack sauce is amazing and their fire hot sauce keeps me coming back. I also love their cilantro salsa. Every meals comes with chips. read more

Very yummy! It's very California surfer! Great salsa's (love the Tomatillo salsa) and great service too. THey have an excellent Breakfast burrito! A decent kids menu as well. It is more of a California style Mexican rather than authentic but still, Californians do quite well at making Mexican food I think! Very good. read more

Pretty disappointed today when I got lunch Togo. I've NEVER had a bad experience in my 11 years of going to either of the snapper jacks. Stopped in today for lunch as I used to eat at Ventura location all the time when I lived in the area 2 years ago. I ordered the Fajita Burrito with chicken and wow, it sucked! Maybe only had 4 small pieces of meat and the rest was filled with rice and beans because of coarse, cheaper than chicken. Overall the experience was terrible and disappointed because I used to eat at Snapper Jacks at least twice a week. read more

I just stopped here the other day for a quick bite. I had the fish taco in a corn tortilla. It was decent. The fish tasted good although I would have liked larger chunks. It was a little too flaky, in my opinion. The beans (whole, not refried) were yummy. Overall, a nice spot with an inviting atmosphere. This place was great. The seafood was delicious and the salsa bar had so much variety. I had some fish tacos and a shrimp burrito and both items were prepared nicely. The shrimp was big and the fish came in large filet chunks. The prices were pretty reasonable as well. Wish they had more of them. read more

A close call in comparison to Chronic Tacos and vise versa. The noticeable difference is Snapper Jacks bomb salsa bar. Slightly more in price compared to Chronic but that may be to make up for all the cabbage they put on their tacos. Shrimp was perfectly plump. Fish wasn't dry. Workers were friendly, place was clean. Less sticker decor and an "older" music selection played over head (But then again, it is Camarillo) is a visual difference. Other than that, it's a "Carl's Jr. Vs Hardee's" to me. read more

Been going to Snapper Jack's since high school and have loved it ever since! Although back then I went to the one in Ventura. When I found out there was going to be one opening up in Camarillo, I was so excited! I've always gotten the Snapper burrito, can't go wrong. The salsa bar is big and amazing. I like their specialty house sauce...put it on everything! Also the 2 green sauces are good. Great place for lunch or dinner. Easy to stop off at on the freeway too. Really cute, fun place with delicious Mexican food (semi-fast food style). They have a nice patio and they sell beer by the pitcher. They have specials on their board that you can choose from in addition to their regular menu. I enjoyed the fish taco and the el pastor that was on special. Came to Snapper Jacks for dinner and the taco salad had hardly any beans. I went up and ordered a side of beans(only because there weren't enough on the salad) and it took 12 minutes to get a side of beans, something that literally takes 20 seconds to serve. All while my salad sat on the table. Unbelievable!! Foods good here, but the taco salads need more beans and it should never take that long to get a side. read more

Snapper Jack's NEVER disappoints. Their nachos with steak is the best around and a GREAT value...plenty of food for 2 people. It beats Sharkey's Woodfire Grill hands down in that regard.
