We came to visit friends in Biloxi and this restaurant seemed like a great choice. My husband and friend went (5/23/26) for breakfast and raved about it. J had the omelet and grits so good he couldn't stop talking. He knows I love some grits. My husband had the 2 biscuit breakfast and told me I'd love the biscuits. So of course we all went the next morning (5/24) before my husband and I left. It was phenomenal. Biscuits and gravy with house made sausage gravy! Amazing! Grits hot and on point! The fried potatoes were better than any hash brown side. My husband got the build your own omelet and it was stuffed with meats. My girlfriend got the Snapper breakfast (eggs, bacon, grits and biscuit) and it was delicious as well. I don't know who is leaving these low reviews and if their day just sucked in general...but it was an 11/10 for us BOTH times. The service was friendly. Clean establishment. Clean restroom. I am astounded at the negative reviews about this restaurant. I am a native Biloxian who was gone for 48 years. I returned in 2021 and I have been a regular customer here for five years. I'll eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here. I have never ever had a bad meal here, and my service is always exceptional. I can't help but think that some people have a grudge against one or more people involved in this restaurant. Or maybe sometimes people just have such a negative attitude when they walk in a place that they feel compelled to trash it. I don't know the owners of this restaurant. I have never met them. All I know is that when I come here I can depend on getting a good meal and good service. Most of the time I sit outside to enjoy the beautiful view. Here is a lesson learned, where it's good to read the reviews when time permits. I noticed the reviews were very divided, either very good or very bad. It seemed the bad reviews seemed unfairly rated based on things that were not too big of a deal. Our experience was good. We got two appetizers and salads. Our server was really nice and pointed out the specials on the menu. The patio was lovely, even on an overcast afternoon. Overall I'd do it again. Downside, the food was very bland. This suited us fine because we're on vacation and eating lots of processed food so a little less salt couldn't hurt, right? Other downside was the bottle of hot sauce on the table looked like it shouldn't be used (just yuck). The server promptly replaced it but I steered clear, having lost interest in hot sauce due to possible storage concerns. Four stars overall. The rest of the meal and the service were fine. read more

Trip to Biloxi this past week. We go a couple of times a year. We never tried Snapper's. We have seen it next to the Sharkhead for years. A co-worker posted a pic and said they have been going there to eat for years. It looked so good, we had to finally try it. Loved it! Great fried catfish and shrimp! Tender and fresh. Service quick. We retired here in 18 and have driven by many times. We decided to try this place and it was very good, I saw where they didn't have the best reviews but after reading about other options we gave them a try and it was great. Our server was very nice and the cook, very skilled. From my wife's salad to our platter with a side of fried oysters was perfectly cooked and filling, oysters were crisp and juicy inside. I ordered the fish and chips with coleslaw and it came with two hush puppies.. Hush puppies were good. I assumed the fish would be cod, but fish and chips are based on fish of the day... While on a roadtrip back from Houston, we got the urge for seafood. While Googling, this restaurant came up. As I see some of the reviews on how bad it was I was actually very surprised. The place was so delicious! Everything we ordered was on point, the staff was amazing, I feel bad for not remembering our waitresses' name but she was great! We sat outside in the deck and it was such a nice experience. I don't consider Biloxi to have nice beaches but even the view was nice, the breeze and experience overall was fantastic. I will confess I was a little worried when we came in and it looked empty and a little run down but definitely a place I would check out again. Snappers is located at the end of a row of tourist restaurants. It is not as flashy as the rest of them but they are friendly and have several locals that frequent them. The inside has a bar and dining area with one wall painted to show where hurricane Katrina crested, the restaurant is on the second floor of the building. They also have outside seating overlooking the gulf. We sat inside once and outside the next two times. We were in Biloxi for a week and ate there three times, one time after walking out of The Reef. We had breakfast with mimosas and Bloody Marys. I ordered shrimp and grits. I'm fussy about grits and don't order them out much but these were so flavorful I would go back just for them. My husband had the blueberry pancakes which had them inside and out. They were fluffy and delicious and more than he could eat. On the other two occasions we tried the oysters and both times they were great. They are not served on the shell but rather on small rounds of bread and covered with their own shrimp and crawfish sauce created by their chef. Definitely delicious. This restaurant is under rated. 1st time visitor here at this Beachside establishment. I was given the option to eat inside or out. Of course I choose outside. Who wouldn't want the view of the beach while sipping on a cocktail and having lunch. I ordered a bushwhacker drink. It was very good and refreshing. Just what I needed on my solo mental health check getaway. I ordered the fish n chips for lunch it came with fries and 2 hushpuppies and a choice of coleslaw or potato salad, I opted for the potato salad. Fries and potato salad was good and the hushpuppies was slamming. I however didn't eat much of the fish as I found it to be undercooked and seemed to be maybe a little raw in some spots. The waiter was nice but seemed a little distant, maybe not a very outgoing person. Which in my opinion being a waiter you need to be outgoing. I decided to follow my gut. This restaurant had only 4 stars (compared to the one in the corner that has more stars and was disappointing), yet we decided to give them a shot. Being over all fries, we decided to order some of their specialities: Po-boy. Being fun of crab cake, I ordered a Crab-cake Po-Boy ($19) and my husband ordered a Grilled shrimp salad ($14). Having a sensitive stomach, the waitress asked me if I prefer regular ranch dressing or cajun ranch dressing. As undecided as I am, she was generous to bring both dressings. The Po-Boy was out of this world, very generous pieces of crabs cake in addition to the zucchini inside. The salad has a good bite, plenty of shrimp that were freshly made, very soft, perfect size for a salad, and the dressing was more than enough (yes I end up having the cajun ranch dressing, very tasty). Who can tell you can have a full meal for less than $15 ! I wish we had this range of price and quality in NY! We sit outside in the porch, near the water, it was a nice breeze and fresh air. We are locals and frequently dine here. While the service is always excellent (Holly is superb) and the cook's presentation fabulous, the management, not so much. So this review is not about the food or service while dining. We visited the beach near there (free parking behind the restaurant) a short rain shower happened (it was over in five minutes) and took shelter under the restaurant to wait it out. The gray haired mananger approached and asked me what I was doing. I told him waiting for the rain to stop. He said i could not, so I told him we would leave which we did. He was very curt and not nice at all. My husband and I are not teenagers we are seniors doing no harm. He definitely could have been nicer. He lurked around to make sure we would not stay. My wife and I wanted a late breakfast, they advertise breakfast served until 11 AM, so we decided to try it out. A lady by the name of Brandy was our server and she was friendly and attentive. I had the shrimp and grits and wife had French toast, eggs, and bacon. Absolutely delicious at a reasonable price. We dined outdoors with a beautiful view of the beach while we ate. We wanted to go somewhere for breakfast. We tried IHOP and they were slammed. So we thought let's try Snappers. We had always driven by but never stopped. Make a long story short, the mgr said it would be about 10 min. Half the restaurant was empty. I think they are suffering the shortage of workers too as many restaurants are.
