I am updating my review because I had an even worse experience this past Saturday. When my salad was moved down to the dressings area, the girl stood there for at least 5 minutes not acknowledging my presence and ignoring the fact there was long line behind me. The line was getting backed up behind me due to this. A simple "hello and I will be right with you" would have been at least some thing. Then when she finally did look at me, I told her that I wanted the Greek dressing. She looked at me like I was from another planet, so I repeated myself again. Then she told me that I need to look at the list of dressings in front of me in a condescending way. I was stunned as clearly it states Greek dressing on the list and I order it every time I go. Plus Greek dressing is a very common dressing. I then stated that the Greek dressing is on the list and that is what I want. She just stared at me. This pushed me to the point of not being nice and pretty much spelling it out for her...as I felt like I was running out of options to try to get her to understand what dressing I wanted. Finally she said she understood me and said "OKAY" in an annoyed way. But clearly she did not still understand as she grabbed the ranch dressing bottle instead! One of her coworkers had to stop her and show her the correct dressing. This took WAY too long and wasted not only my time, but all the people behind me. I don't know if this employee is new, but she needs to be familiar with the product and not be rude about it. Employees need to be trained better. I really like Snappy Salads as a product, but the service is awful at this location and the place is dirty. I will not be returning to this location again, after giving this place way too many chances. This is very frustrating for me as it is near my home and was convenient but it is not worth it. I will not be suggesting this location to anyone. read more

I absolutely love Snappy Salads, and so does my boyfriend! I tend to alternate between the cobb salad (which they have the best cobb salad I have ever had) and the crabcake salad, which is very fresh and delicious. I never get more than the half snaps, just because that is enough to fill me up. All the ingredients are super fresh and super delicious. Of course you can create your own salad, like most places, but their menu options are on point. My boyfriend loves getting the bam-bam. That is his go-to. The staff here are always super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very clean, and I love that they have local sodas and their own little patio area. read more

I hate to write this review, as I normally love this location. However after grabbing lunch there today that was inedible(second time now) I have to write this. After purchasing my bam-bam salad as I normally do approx once a week, I grabbed my salad and left. I got to my office and noticed that it was utterly DRENCHED in dressing and had only almond shavings. I had to pour out the dressing into a cup because that is all I could taste. Even after doing this I decided to just toss the salad because it was disgusting. I'm sad to say how disappointed I am in this location. I should have known when I saw the employee that was at the end of the salad line to make sure to watch her finish preparing the salad. She is always looking so bothered to be at work and never has a smile on her face. It's too bad because the rest of the employees are great. I guess it's time to find a new salad spot. read more

I love Snappy Salads, and go to any of their locations as often as I can. This location has by far the worst service. The last three times I have been there, workers were just standing around, no one was willing to help me, and when someone finally did, she had an attitude that said "I hate working here, I wish you hadn't come in." Still can't figure out how they totaled it up, but I think they charged me for every topping. Guy making my salad didn't know anything about any of the dressings when I asked for his opinion. and when I settled on balsamic vinegar he didn't know which on it was. Seemed very under trained. Lots of wilted lettuce leaves in my salad. Eatzi's or central market are better choices with cheaper options. Way too expensive for the quality. i eat salad a LOT. this place has CRAPPY EXPENSIVE salads. $20 for a salad to ME is a lot. I've had better tasting salads from mcdonalds (seriously thats how bad they are and says a lot because i HATE mcdonalds) the workers are uninterested and seem like you're boring/annoying them when theyre taking your order. I've really tried to like this place but I've given them 5 tries and the failed 4/5 of them. the chicken was WAY over peppered, the avocados were not even ripe and were bendable and the ingredients, although they were fresh, were just nothing special to charge the prices they do. all together, made for a shitty, gross salad. sorry snappy, you're not worth it, even if you just charged $5. read more

The food is great which I why there's 2 stars but the staff needs a lot of help. I was told wrong on an order but instead of the manager comping the extra I was misquoted she told me she was sorry but she would use it as a teaching moment and still charged me the extra. I never really knew what it was until one day I wanted to eat a healthy meal so I stopped by Snappy Salads. When I walked in I was just breath taken by how lovely the veggies looked so colorful as they sat under illuminated lights..almost the resemblance of trophies on a shelf. A variety to choose from like different types of lettuce, toppings, meats, dressings and cheeses. Even the olives looked so juicy and a vibrant purple ( I do not like olives but those I made the exception lol). I had the bam bam salad. You get a party of flavors in your mouth from the sweet dried cherries, with the nutty crunchy almonds, goes perfect with the dressing and purple onions (don't eat this if plan to kiss someone lol). Friendly staff on board, clean location and pleasant atmosphere. This place really makes you crave salads and leaves your tummy satisfied (I forgot to mention their portions are pretty big even the half sizes). Bon appetite my friends ! read more

Just ate at Snappy Salads on Greenville Ave. and I have to say, it was awesome! Unlike at the location at Northpark mall, when you eat @ Greenville's location you get your salad in a large metal bowl instead of a plastic small bowl. The steak is so tasty! It is seasoned just right, and it is so lean and tender. This place will make you have a whole new perspective on salads. The people that work there are so friendly, and their manager Austin is always there to greet you and make sure you are happy. This place is definitely worth checking out, just get ready for a new addition! read more

The reason I have this location 3 stars is because most times I go in the staff seems more interested in flirting with each other than actually doing their jobs. Tasty salads but ridiculously overpriced. The "full" salad which they claim is for "huge appetites" actually isn't that big if you get it to-go (though the in-house bowl they use for it looks much bigger, perhaps it's all in the presentation). And it was $15. I've had similar quality and sized salads at Chili's that were cheaper (and actually a bit better). Their employees also barely speak a McDonald's level of English (perhaps this is where all the comments about them being rude are really stemming from). I probably won't be back, but this place is nice if you have a fat wallet and want a customizable, healthy meal to-go but are sick of Chipotle. read more

I am at this location 4-5 times a week . The service is always great and the salads are the best. Kiki and Ali are always so kind and engaging, they both deserve promotions. Sophia is a great manager. The only complaint I have is that the salad i order every day is not a standard on their menu: All spinach leaves with black beans, corn, carrots, broccoli, chickpeas, beets, sunflower seeds, and gorgonzola, with Sesame Ginger dressing and an avocado on top. Today was my first time at Snappy Salads and it was a great experience. As soon as I entered a staff member greeted me. I ordered a half GAUCHO salad and it was more than enough. The steak was super tender and juicy, I really was not expecting such great quality of meat. The only thing is that it is a pricey place for salads, if I wanted to eat salads everyday then that's an average of $200 a month. So yeah I'll probably go there once in a while. read more

I found a big black bug in my salad and went to take it back and they were so rude, never once apologized and acted like it was such an inconvenience for them. I am a longtime Snappy Salad customer so am particularly disappointed to write this review. It is not indicative of my experiences at the other Snappy Salad locations I frequent which are five star. The Greenville location is horrible. It is dark and the staff are slow and seem indifferent to their customers and jobs. There were more than enough employees that could have handled the line of costumers at 7pm on a Sunday evening but their training and leadership were inefficient. Many items were no longer available. I asked for an avocado when I entered the line and by the time I got to the end some 15 minutes later they were out of avocado. I'd already been advised there was no quinoa, no walnuts and they scraped the bottom of the pepperoni pepper bowl to get me two mini slices and didn't even offer to add another item since obviously that doesn't even come close to a regular item portion. My husband and I waited 40 minutes to get through the line and ended up walking out when we were told the avocado was no longer available. We went straight to the Forest Lane location arriving 10 minutes before closing time and received exactly what we wanted and dined on premises with no one rushing us out even though the restaurant closing time had passed. We will never go to The Greenville location again. read more

Good fresh made to order salads. I loved all the choices to add to my salad and lettuce options. The regular sized salad was plenty big enough for a good meal although they are quite stingy with the grilled chicken added to the salad. The dining room was very clean and staff was great. Seating is basically large extended picnic tables so it's easy to strike up conversations with others since you are sharing the table with others. Good healthy meal but comes with a bit of a hefty price tag. read more

I have been to this place about 4 times. The first time the owner was there and he was starting a new business with lots of enthusiasm and a clean establishment with delicious options for a great salad. My salad was terrific and I thought they would be a hit. As I've gone back each time the choices have been worse (and it was summertime with a wide variety of fresh produce). I haven't been back in a while hoping they'd gotten it together since I was last there....we'll forget it. The girl putting our salads together acted as though she was in a race to literally throw our salads together. Or she hated vegetables and couldn't get away from them fast enough. The restaurant had 4 people in the whole place already sitting down and eating and we were rushed down the line like she had salads to make all night! We went home and ate our salads and within 20 minutes we were both sick to our stomachs and in the bathroom for awhile. This is a great location! It keeps you from having to go all the way inside the mall (which has it's own level of convenience). The staff is being trained diligently. The patio is wonderful. The people are awesome. This place is greener then a glow stick in a black light. I mean, most everything is made in house. Ingredients are chosen and prepared meticulously. When they say the salads are snappy, that's not to interpret a loss of quality. This stuff is great! Personally I LOVE the Cobb (while I switch out red onions for extra bacon, one may love it the way it comes). The meat comes FRESH on your salad. Everyone is friendly and eager to help you make the right choice for your meal. Once again, this is not just a GREAT location, but a wonderful company. Filled with people who really care. This is my FIRST Yelp review ever, inspired by a really impressive experience at the Greenville Ave. Snappy Salad location. I've been a fan of Snappy Salad, eating at the Forest Ave location for years. I kept going there, out of habit, even after I noticed the more convenient location on Greenville. Last night I finally tried the GA location, and I could not be more pleased! The servings were extremely generous (I got a "full" salad; am eating the leftover right now as lunch), the restaurant facilities were up to Snappy standards (super clean, eco-friendly), and the people who worked there were friendly and professional. THE BEST PART was the incredible freshness of the ingredients. Snappy always has high-quality, fresh ingredients, but you can get the occasional wilted leaf at the other locations. Not at Greenville! All ingredients were super-fresh, crunchy and vibrant...and the chicken was sliced literally in front of me, still a touch warm from the oven! Fantastic! In addition to the great salad, I got the soup of the day - Corn soup of some type. I tried a sample, and it was different from what I expected because typically corn soup is a bit "creamy"...this was not. But their version was so fresh tasting, and healthy, that I realized I had set my sights too low in expecting a "creamier" version. The soup was very, very tasty! This place needs to work on their listening skills. The salads taste great, and the servers are mostly fairly nice. However, they often get your order wrong. Every time my roommate and I go there, they always get her order wrong, and get 4/5 of mine wrong (The change I make from the recipe is no cheese due to milk allergy). My roommate tells them 3 times that she doesn't want cheese ( highly allergic to milk) and dressing on the side, and it's like they don't even hear her. We've given them the "just opened" free pass for a while, but we're really tired of getting the wrong order. We're not going here anymore. read more

Visited this location about a week ago in the afternoon it was my first time visiting a snappys and staff was very friendly they asked me if i had any questions helped me make my salad once i got all my toppings it was time for my dressing, and a young lady who was mixing the dressings in was just so friendly had great suggestions was very impressed with her she had a smile on her face the whole time and was extremly helpful. I made my own salad and tried the popular dressing the sweet parsley and right when i tried fell inlove with it! It's is so darn good was told it was home made!! That is awesome!! If i had the money to eat here every day, I would. They are tripping over the price of their salads though. I think it's like $10-$14 every time I go here. Generally the salads don't come with meat so you have to pay extra for it. The grilled avocado salad is their best one, every thing else is alright. I mean, if you're gonna get a basic salad, I think you should go somewhere else and save your money bc this place ain't cheap. I think it depends on who makes your salad but sometimes they overdress it and sometimes they underdress it. If you dine in, you can request more dressing if you feel like they didn't give you enough. They didn't charge me extra when I asked. read more

The Food is great, but if I put in an online order it is never ready and often times takes 2 or 3 times the amount of time to get the order ready. I started putting the orders in even earlier so that when we order them for our clients coming in for lunch they would be ready, but it just doesn't work. My wife and I stopped in at this location for a later than usual diner at about 8:30, when we were waited on the girl behind the counter seemed to reluctantly want to wait on us, but she did with a real cold attitude, when my wife wanted extra bacon on her salad the employee snapped at her and why didn't she say something when she first put the bacon on, then when she fixed my salad she seemed to be saving the ingredients for someone else as I had to ask for more since the amount of ingredients she was putting on was so sparse. The she didn't want to finish and check us out for about a minute. Anyway, the salad was very good but the service not!. Next I noticed that while we were eating they decided to lock the doors a few minutes early as it wasn't quite 9pm when they locked the doors. Then at a few minutes after 9 a customer came to the door, and after conversation through the door with an employee, they let him in. Turns out he had called in a to go order and was a few minutes late arriving and was on a bicycle,he went to the counter and they pulled his food that had been packaged for him and someone else from the cooler, and next thing we know he was leaving empty handed,next he stood out front for a few minutes and made a phone call or two, my wife got up and asked an employee behind the counter what the deal was and they said that he wanted to pay with cash but they had already put the cash drawer up, so they just sent him away, by the time we found out that I ran out front to get him but he had just ridden off on his bicycle, we were going to pay for his dinners being good Samaritans but we were too late,my wife asked the employee behind the counter what they were going to do with those dinners now and he said probably throw them out.I thought that to be very uncaring of the employees and rude of them too. Although my salad was good I will most likely not return to this location and think that these employees should take training classes in how to act like a caring human. read more

I called and placed an order the other day and told them what I wanted, dressing on the side and my name and they didn't even charge me for the salad since my order wasn't complete the last time.
