We were at a family gathering in Cerritos but we were craving halo halo. We asked our niece where we could find good halo halo as she's from the area, and she recommended Snowflakes. So we drive down there after the party and ordered 3 halo halos! We were already full from all the food at the party but Lola's halo halo was so good that we each finished our large order. Any time I visit that area, I will stop here and indulge in some delicious halo halo!

Cute little shop, easy to understand menu. Staff was friendly. Inside was clean, plenty of seating. The shaved ice was yummy and hit the spot. Would come back again to try some of the other items.

With the many options for shaved ice within a 2 mile radius of this place, I would choose another. The service was lacking, tables were dirty, seats were stuck & trash can was overflowing. I saw 4 employees and sat in to eat my treat to notice that it was not busy at all! The shaved ice had ice chunks but I enjoyed the pineapple dole whip. IF I do go back it would be for that.

Yesterday I was craving a smoothie and some shaved ice for dessert and it's been a while since I've been here but super glad they are still dishing out awesome stuff. Service from both of the ladies working was great. Really clean interior and easy to choose from menu. I'll definitely be back as the summer fast approaches.

This is my go-to spot instead of frozen yogurt or ice cream. I love their Hawaiian shave ice, shakes, and soft serve. Their shave ice doesn't have that strong medicine-like aftertaste and doesn't leave you extra thirsty afterward like some places do. The staff are always kid-friendly and welcoming, whether I'm there alone or with a larger group. I'd recommend it for individuals, couples, families, or social gatherings. Inside can get crowded fast, so we usually eat outside or take it elsewhere.

Filipino-style dessert place with lots of different options! You want halo halo? They've got a solid version. Dole-whip? Yup, they've got that too. Acai bowls? Theirs are huge portions. Hawaiian shaved-ice? Check. If you're with a big group and want a variety of desserts to choose from, this is a good place to check out. Look at their menu - they've got lots of stuff for lots of different tastes and preferences. We went on a Friday night with a group of 7 people. We all ordered different things, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Definitely worth checking out, and I will be back to try other things!

Pros: Service was nice. Parking is easy since it's in a plaza. Plenty of seating indoors. Cons: Prices are quite steep for the quality of items ordered. Regular size of halo halo was $12 which was not worth it (IMO). The scoop of Manila mango ice cream was icy and the texture was just off (refer to photo).

Easy eats dessert spot with halo halo. Grabbed some halo halo after dinner - was pretty good, lots of toppings involved. Would come back!

LARGE Halo Halo not even halfway filled of ice. It was melted.

Came back for some dessert. I was not feeling the Halo Halo this time, but instead their ice cream. I was really looking forward to the Macadamia Nut ice cream so I got a double scoop with one scoop of Macadamia nut and one scoop of Kauai Pie. Placed our orders and paid and just waiting for them to prepare it. Just for them to tell me after the fact, that they were out of Macadamia Nut. If they knew that before I ordered, I would have ordered a single scoop. I just think that customer service has really gone out the window for places where you order at the counter and get up to pick up your order, and then they ask if you want to tip, not knowing how good your service will be or if they even care. What happened to getting the service you expect to get for the price you are paying. Not that the girls that were there helping us were not nice, but why don't business owners push the importance of good service.

I first had a halo-halo bowl many years ago when a Filipino coworker took me to try one, so I was genuinely excited when I stumbled across this place while searching online. Lola's Halo-Halo bowl totally delivered--so different from your typical dessert. Light, refreshing, crispy and just sweet enough without overwhelming you. The mix of textures and flavors makes you slow down and actually enjoy it... which I clearly ignored and ended up with a mini frozen brain (my bad ). Clean inside and the service was warm and genuinely friendly--not forced. Perfect sweet treat when want something different and delicious. Next time I might try switching the ube ice cream out for coconut to give it my own little twist. I'm also excited about trying the Himalayan sea salt shake--that sounds right up my salty Carmel alley.

This place specializes in shaved ice, acai bowls, and smoothies/shakes. But what everyone comes for is their delicious halo halo. If love halo halo and don't like it too sweet then this is the perfect treat for you. I was introduced to it by my filipino friends to try. You can choose between a regular or large size. I got regular size but regretted not getting a large. It was so good. Their shaved is is smooth which makes it really nice. The ice cream on top is good and so is all the other ingredients in it. I definitely recommend it. I also want to come back and try their smoothies and acai bowls. They also have an Ube haupia crunch bowl that I would love to try as well. The inside has a few tables and chairs to sit and hang out. When I came on the weekend after lunch it was very very busy. Its definitely worth it and I would gladly come back.

Tried the ice cream and shave ice after dinner at another restaurant. Both were very good. I really liked the different flavors they offered and how much variety there was. The shave ice was super light and fluffy. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful. It was sweet, but not too much. Everything came out quickly. Prices are a bit high for the portion, but overall, great quality and worth trying.

We usually come here for Taiwanese bento and beef noodle soup, and we decided to try something different this time, and everything was good. The highlight was definitely the stinky Tofu, it was perfectly fried and with a nice "stinky" smell, and it was very good. Ok this one is probably not for beginners, as it is likely an acquired taste. The thick noodles was soothing and just what we needed. The satay hot pot was very good, we had enough to bring home and continue to enjoy the next day. I called it a "themed" restaurant because the store was originally modeled after an elementary school 3rd grade classroom, the chairs, tables, bulletin board and blackboard, even the menu is sort of what you might find at a school cafeteria (of course much more fancy), there is a nostalgic, cute feeling for those of us grew up in Taiwan. For everyone else, it's a nice touch if you are into these cultural stuff.

Parking: They're located in a high foot traffic plaza, so finding a parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. The tables and seats were kept clean. There's cute decor from the ceiling as well. This is the type of spot where you'd bring your family with younger kids for something sweet, while the adults sit and talk. When we visited, my family and one other family pretty much took up all the tables lol. Service: There was only one worker behind the counter serving and making the drinks and desserts. She doesn't acknowledge anyone. It wasn't too busy, but throughput took a while since she was by herself. There's two kiosk to order from. You don't really interact with the worker until she brings out your order. Desserts & drinks: We ordered a mixture of almost everything. We noticed there were a few menu items that were out of stock. I ordered a mango pamelo sago, my sister ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea, my cousin ordered an americano, and my other cousin ordered a strawberry & cream eggette. I thought the mango pamelo sago was okay; the mango flavor was lacking except for the actual mangos. There was plenty of sago, but I thought this dessert was underwhelming. My sister thought the boba was okay bc it had an interesting texture, and the drink itself was lightly sweet than what she's used to. My cousin thought the coffee was okay. The only thing we all enjoyed was the eggette. It's a bubble waffle with ice cream and fresh fruits, which is pretty difficult to mess up. Pricing: Prices are pretty high for the portions offered. Overall, the desserts were underwhelming and some didn't meet our expectations. The eggettes are most likely the only thing we'll come back for.

We came in around 730pm on a Monday night and there were a few tables taken. I thought that was a good sign since it was kind of cold tonight...if people are choosing to come here on a cold night, there must be a reason why! When we walked in, there was a gal at the counter, but was on her phone. Barely looked up to greet us, which wasn't a big deal since there are kiosks for you to order, but what I thought was kind of strange was she didn't bother trying to help us when we kept saying out loud "there are no photos of this or that" literally just on her phone and not trying to explain any of their menu items. The kiosk set up is on top of the counter, so we were asking these questions right in front of her. Lol. Made me wonder what the point of her sitting there was. Might as well have been in the back to watch whatever she was watching on her phone to make things less awkward. Luckily both our desserts were fine, but I did not appreciate having someone sitting at the counter only to let you know they don't care if 1) it's your first time there, 2) are confused by some of their dessert names, and 3) photos are missing for many of their items listed in the kiosk. The tables were dirty, my bag got wet from whatever was left from the previous party. Not cool. If the service (or lack there of) was better and tables clean I may have rated this place higher. Though the desserts were decent, not I'll be back. ** Warning Auto Tip: I noticed when I got home that they added a 12% tip to my total. There was no option to get a printed receipt nor was there a step to review ANY tip. I've never experienced such a thing, especially when this is a self service/pick up cafe **
