I really do love this place, as they have a variety of choices but not too much like many local ice cream/coffee houses. Another thing I love is that they also offer Acaí bowls! That's such a great thing because I don't have to drive all the way to Huntington Beach to get one. They have plenty of fruits in the Acaí bowl and it tastes amazing. They also have great authentic Hawaiian shaved ice as well, it really reminds me of my last trip to Hawaii. It's really hard to find a place like this around Cerritos, so it's a great addition to our city! My favorites have to be their shaved snow (unlimited toppings!!) and their Acaí bowls. The team is also very nice and try their best to help their customers. You can tell that the owners have passion in what they do and that's such a refreshing feeling :) Amazing nonetheless and have been coming back again and again! read more

Great place reminds me of when I went to Hawaii. Just like authentic Hawaiian shaved ice. Kids size is plenty for an adult. I got pineapple shaved ice with coconut pineapple ice cream on the bottom and condensed milk on the top. It was sooooooooooo delicious! I cannot wait to go back again! Great for a hot day! Very helpful staff and excellent customer service. The seating area is very nice and comfortable. Great for groups or a cozy date. It's right next door to my other favorite place Blooming! The bowl here are great however the customer service is awful. Every time I come here I try and call ahead because it takes a while to make the bowls, however they never answer the phone. At any time of the day they just don't answer. I've called multiple times and nothing. I've even called while I was in the store and saw multiple employees pass by the phone and not pick it up. The most recent time I came in and ordered three bowls. There were no customers in the building when we walked in and it took them a couple of mins to even acknowledge us after clearly seeing us come in. It took them 20mins to make our bowls and after 20mins of waiting they told us that they were out of an ingredient they need to make the bowl. I don't understand why it took them that long to notice that they were out but I ended up having to wait another 5 mins for another one and they did not refund me the balance. They might have had a lot of online orders im not sure, but they had 6 employees in there (I counted) and they were laughing so loud in the back it just made my experience there even worse. The only times I've had good experiences from this business is when I Postmates it. read more

It's their grand opening week and it's my first time trying shaved snow. Their flavors of snow don't overpower the taste buds and they have a wide variety of toppings. This place specializes in shaved snow and Hawaiian-style shaved ice. If you have been to Hawaii then you have probably been enlightened on the awesomeness of their shaved ice. I can say that the texture and taste of the ice and syrup is definitely on par. I've only chosen my own flavors, but I've seen some people order the creations off the menu and they looked really good (there was one that looked like a volcano). I think this place strikes a really nice balance between offering the shaved snow that you may have had at other places (only better tasting, IMO) while providing a more accessible environment for people that are new to the whole shaved snow idea. I've brought several friends here already and they have loved it. The décor is cool, the seating is comfy, and they offer a good choice of flavors. From all the trips I've made I've tried a majority of them and like them all. For the snow, they have a really good selection of toppings, and I like that they don't nickel and dime you because you want a little variety. Seriously this is THE best shaved ice because it is so authentic and if you disagree than CLEARLY you do not know what amazing shaved ice tastes like! They offer both Hawaiian shave ice and shaved snow. I first tried the Hawaiian shave ice with one of their pre-made choices because I just couldn't decide! For only a few cents more I added a scoop of ice cream just like in Hawai'i! The Mac nut ice cream was perfection with my Kona Sunset. On another trip here, I also tried the shaved snow in the honeydew flavor and my goodness it was the perfect amount of sweetness. The texture was so fluffy and airy, it just melted right in my mouth which is exceptional for this hot end of summer weather. Plus you get to add different toppings to only enhance the shaved snow. So many flavors to choose from! As for the vibe of the place.. Super welcoming, friendly, and clean! I seriously cannot wait to go back again and again. I've already recommended to so many ppl and they all love it and agree with me! This is exactly what shaved ice is suppose to taste like! What an AWESOME place! They have the Swan ice shavers so ya know it's good. (I've done some research into these things.) Everyone who works at the counter has thus far been really friendly and accommodating, and they're really glad to know if you're a repeat customer. My favorite combo is the Sunset with Passion Fruit, Mango, and Pineapple and Macadamia Nut Ice Cream with condensed milk. The first time here, I ordered a regular size which was quite filling, but I now order a kids size because its just enough. When I finish, I of course wish there was more, but the regular size is too much for me to handle especially after a meal. -1 star because my shave ice is so perfectly rounded that its hard for me to justify placing any toppings on or additional condensed milk. Maybe I'll ask to place the shave ice in a shave snow cup instead? I'm so happy that this place exists and can't wait till I go back - both good and bad news because this place is just a 2 minute drive from my work. See ya real soon Snowflakes! read more

I wanted to have snow balls(shaved ice) for my family picnic 2 weeks ago. I found them on Yelp and called immediately because it was only 10 days before my event. I paid a deposit and everything was set. Until 2 days before the event the park tells me they don't allow ice shavers, popcorn machines, basically any carnival food machines on their premises. So I called (Kevin I think) and he communicated the entire day with me trying to come up with an alternative, Which we found. They served pre dispensed ice cream with toppings and all. I was so happy they found a solution to my problem with such short notice. If I ever have another event I would definitely want to use them again. This time I want the snow!!!!! read more

Very good shave ice. Friendly staff. The texture of the ice is wonderful and their ice cream is delicious! The only criticism I have is inconsistency of size and amount of syrup on the shave ice.. some employees put too little syrup and some put too much. The shaved snow is a very small serving so be aware of that. Also, there is a topping bar where you can add your own toppings to ice cream or shaved snow for an extra price.. we once ordered an ice cream and paid extra for toppings... but they gave us the ice cream packed into a tiny cup with no room for toppings and gave us a tiny little container to put the toppings on the side... this made no sense as the point of adding toppings is to actually eat it ON TOP of the ice cream. So the ice cream couldn't even be eaten with the topping that we paid extra for. If a customer pays extra for toppings, they should put the ice cream or snow in a container that is suitable for that. Overall, this is a great place to go for shave ice! If I could have one everyday I would! The ice texture is very good and it is smooth, not crunchy at all. DAMMMMM.....what can I say about snowflakes....I had it yesterday and OMG the snow ice thing was sooooooooo gooooood. Jesus freakin christ man, it was like I was on another planet. The taste of it brought happiness and tears into my eyes. I didn't know what to do so I kept smiling because it was that good. The snow ice brought back so many happy memories of my childhood. It was literally that good. And what can I say about the staff. MY GOD! The friendliest group of girls I have ever met in my life. Very professional and helpful. Especially I think her name was Sardine..Charlene...or Sharlene, Victoria, and Krystin! In addition I love the painting of the place! It was a really cool and chill environment. People could just wait on the side or on chairs for their snow ice. It was actually a large place for people to go anywhere and sit and wait. So I don't know which dumbass thinks they need a McDonalds layout...haha shout out to my man Mark! If they wanted a McDonalds layout then there would be a McDonalds not a Snowflakes rofl... Wow! This place is awesome! Went here for a local high school fundraiser and was immediately greeted by the cashier. She also did not hesitate to help and explain different menu options for us. Amazing acai bowl ever! Sweet but not overly sweet. The price is 6.50 for a bowl which is more than what I am used to. Usually I pay 8.00 for a bowl twice the size but then again, that 's also twice the calories. Their granola and nuts are crunchy and fresh. I would recommend that they add nutritional information on their acai and pitaya bowls. In addition, the staff did not know the difference between Pitaya and Acai berries. Hawaiian Shave Ice: went a few months ago and was very pleased with it and excited to have a shave ice place close. Went tonight, ordered to go and didn't even think to look until I got home. I don't know who would have ever thought what I received was shave ice but it was pitiful. One of my fave places to get a halo halo of course it compares differently to another fave place of mine but this halo halo is soo good. The store is a typical shaved ice place but they have tons of things from shave ice to ice cream even acai bowls which is one of my other favorite desserts. Love it I don't have to go past Montebello to get this... They have two kinds snow ice or Hawaiian shaved ice. I got the milk snow ice which I was able to add my own toppings and condensed milk. Had my first snow and was not disappointed! This place is really good and the employees are extremely friendly. The only downside to my visit was that there was a family (relatives of the owners I believe because they kept going into the kitchen area) of about 15 people and so the wait was pretty long (approximately 20 minutes). They tried to get the orders out as soon as possible so that's a plus. I wouldn't go back on a Saturday afternoon because it does get pretty full. Amazing toppings bar and great variety of ice cream flavors, snow, and shaved ice syrups. Highly recommend you pay a visit. read more
