One of my absolute FAVORITE burger joints.. This location was the first Snuffer's I ever visited, and now I live right down the street from it. Coincidence, or my subconscious trying to tell me something...? The loaded cheese fries are great if you get them with everything on top and some ranch on the side, then dump the ranch on top and toss it all together with two forks. You're going to spill some of it, but the end product is like a delicious fried salad of potatoes, cheese, bacon, scallions, jalapenos and ranch that laughs on their way to your arteries at you as you engulf them. Yeah. I like the fries. The fried mushrooms are also quite delicious. They have a distinctive flavor of fresh cracked black pepper in the breading that makes them hard to stop eating. I've never had bad luck with the burgers either, I've tried quite a few of them and enjoyed each one. I usually get them medium rare, with the meat threatening to crumble apart as you eat it and seemingly melting in you mouth. Yum yum yum :) The only think that sucks about this place is I can only eat here maybe once a month. I'm sure if I let myself eat here more than that, I'd lose all control and end up keeling over from heart failure by the time I was 30. read more

First visit since COVID, they have redone the dining area to accommodate more people but the space between the booths and bar area is not 6 ft. I could literally touch the individual seated in the bar area on the high top tables. They need to work on this. read more

Second bad visit in a row. Will not be back. Server was friendly but incredibly slow service. It took 50 minutes to receive our order. We started with an order of Cheese fries and fried mushrooms. Both appetizers were lukewarm at best. The cheese on the fries had already started to set and we had to use a knife to serve them. Mushrooms were ok but still lukewarm. I had the new special brats. They were lukewarm as well and slightly undercooked. They were more like hotdogs than brats. Very disappointing in flavor and presentation. They no longer have the onion strings, they are now onion fries. They were over breaded and tough. Really not sure what's going on with Snuffer's but I'm not coming back to find out. read more

I visited this location today with my husband and daughter for the first time and i am immensely impressed with their customer service! never have I had so many waiters/waitresses stop my table to ask if we needed anything.. usually if you flag a server who's not responsible for your table, you get an "I will get your waiter/waitress" instead of an "can I get you anything.?" we will be back soon! Snuffer's burgers have great flavor, juicy, and the best thing of all about Snuffer's the BEST DAMN CHEESE FRIES!!!!!!!! Loaded or toppings on the side lots of ooey gooey cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, chopped bacon bits, jalapeños and a side of ranch! My mouth waters just thinking about 'em!!!! Walked about a mile to try this restaurant out and I wasn't disappointed! I went to one of my personal favorites - Chicken Fried Steak - which came with mashed potatoes, corn and toast and it definitely stood up with the best of them. I met an old friend at Snuffers today for lunch. Even though it was a little loud, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and cozy to still chat privately. I had the blu cheese bacon burger & onion rings. Much to my surprise, it was delicious, the portions were perfect, and I'm not kicking myself in remorse for ordering what I expected to be a "grease burger". No offense, Snuffers... I AM LOYAL TO THIS PLACE.have been coming here probably a couple years since I was born (2000). If you are the clingy type you'll definitely get hooked onto this place. The cheese fries are a must, and for toppings you pay a little extra. My favorite are the spicy chicken strips with the ranch. Simply addicting! The burgers are also good, but chicken is my thing. Friendly people , food service isn't too slow , depending on what day you go( Friday is quite busy for them). All in all, it's a good place. I make it a point to come here every December when I come back home for the holidays. A dear friend, who is no longer with us, introduced me to Snuffers back in high school, so needless to say the place provides not only great food, but also truly fond memories. I ALWAYS order the same thing...cheese fries, marinated chicken strips, and 2 Shiners. This particular concoction is as good as anything I've tasted. It had been years since eating a Snuffer's and I don't remember it being all that good. However, today, I was served one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The burger was very juicy (but not greasy) and was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Very few places can cook a burger properly. The bun was delicious and held up to the slight messy burger. (I think it was a perfect level of messy-ness.) The cheese was thoroughly melted. I'd definitely go here again. The table also ordered some cheese fries. They were great. Every single fry was covered in cheese and seasoning. Snuffer's is a way above average American food restaurant. read more

Before moving moving away from Dallas we ate at Snuffer's at least twice a month. I always got the bacon burger (can't remember the name) and we ordered a small order of the cheese fries with bacon. We loved the cheese fries that usually showed up to our table first. My burger which I had cooked medium rare, with no salt or onions wasn't too greasy but wasn't dry. They use shredded lettuce which I personally don't like since it causes a mess (I know, weird) but was good. The one complaint I ever had was even though I always ordered no onions (not an onion fan), it seemed to always come out with onions. I'm not sure if it was because they were also diced and looked similar to the shredded lettuce but I normally had to either ask for it fixed, or fix it myself. That said, we miss having our Snuffer's fix. We have found good burger places in Chicago, but its not the same without the cheese fries. read more

My family and I came here for dinner. I liked the atmosphere here. The burgers were very good and juicy, lots of flavor. The only reason I knocked a star off was because the service wasn't the best. The waitress never came around and she just didn't seem very friendly, she might have been having a bad day but still. This is really good place and I do recommend it. Saw fries on the picture of what I ordered, but checked for "extras" to make sure I didn't have to order them extra. Couldn't find them, but assumed that they would be included. Absolutely delicious! They make the best burgers, cheese fries, and have the coldest beer!! I have also been to the location in Southlake (see previous review) but find this to be the better Restaurant. The service is wonderful and the management is friendly! It is usually always busy but I never have a hard time getting right to a table! This is definitely a must try! I'm drooling just thinking about it! I've been here a total of three times and I moved here from Houston about a month ago. Delicious!! These burgers make me keep craving for more especially due to the fact that the burger bun is soft and has an amazing texture once you bite into it, it somewhat dissolves in your mouth.. In addition to the bun, the meat patty is cooked medium rare by default which is just perfect. The cheesy fries... You've definitely got to try the cheesy fries. My coworker who introduced me to this place says that snuffers invented the cheesy fries. Not sure about that, but if you have not tried it: a MUST try in my book! read more

A Dallas legend is just as good in its location to the north. I took some out of town friends there last week and they really like it. The think that makes Suffer's burgers unique is the way they chop up the lettuce and onions into a kind of slaw, and then dress the burgers with it. If you have never been there, you have to try the cheese fries with bacon. You can make a meal out those and leave the burger behind. read more

The burgers go well together and isn't randomly put together! Another must is the cheddar cheese with bacon and jalapeños! I took some of my family members to an early dinner last Saturday afternoon and we unanimously chose Snuffers. I've been a fan of Snuffers since I first moved to Dallas over 25(?) years ago. I mean, who doesn't like their signature cheese fries. I had a hickory burger, at the suggestion of our fantastic and energetic waitress Charlotte, code named "Chuck". Other family members had chicken fried steak and chicken strips. The children had "kids" meals and really didn't care. On to the review. I have to honestly say the cheese fries and Chuck carried this review to four stars. I was at a three stars because the burger and strips were very average to me. Maybe even a little below. The meat on the burger was slightly overdone in spots and the texture of the bun was a little dense for a burger (JMHO). I am not a fan of poppy seed buns and wouldn't have ordered the burger had I known (if it's described as such on the menu I didn't see it). My daughter thought the strips were great so they're within the margin of error. The chicken fried steak got a three-star and a four-star vote from self-proclaimed CFS experts. Three it is (no way to give a half star so we'll stay conservative). So, it's the bottom of the 9th, the score is tied with two outs. Chuck is up to bat with her trusty cheese fries! First pitch is a fast ball and "CRACK" Chuck puts this one into the left field seats. Game over with a walk-off! Snuffers cheese fries should be its own food group and have been consistently great all these years. Chuck ushered them out with a smile, a sense of humor and great service I gotta go with four stars. We will be back! read more

Really good burgers - the old school, beefy, greasy and flavorful kind that drip all over your hands kind of burgers. And be sure to order the Cheese Fries appetizer for the full-on heart attack experience. BUT...I will probably avoid the place for any time of day when the parking lot would fill up (lunch hour, dinner, etc.) as the spaces are BARELY wide enough to squeeze your car between the lines and mine got dented (not just "dinged") while I was enjoying the food...literally had to back out of the space for my passengers to be able to even get into my car. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to try out this place for dinner one night. It's a casual burger bar, nothing fancy. I decided to get the footlong hot dog which came topped with cheese, mustard and onions and it comes with fries and chili on the side. Since I was on a date, I opted to eat my hotdog with a fork (don't judge me). The cheese on the hot dog wasn't a good combination in my opinion so I scrapped it off and ate the meat by itself. My boyfriend on the other hand decided to go for a big juicy fried jalapeño cheeseburger! He found his meal to be only mundane, not up to par with all the positive reviews. Maybe we got the wrong foods? We concluded we would potentially return to try something different on the menu. On a side note, our server, River was sweet and accommodating. read more

So I've been to Snuffers before and its not a bad burger joint. I do enjoy my burger, because lets face it, I'm a manly man and menly men have to know how to decipher a good burger. I went in with a ladyfriend of mine and got a nice little meal. We started off and split cheese fries, just a small because its so gooey and cheesy that its hard to even finish it. I enjoy it with the bacon and chives on top. I must say that of the whole meal, the cheese fries impressed me more then the burger. I order a traditonal cheeseburger, on a poppyseed bun, medium well because last time i got it at medium, it hit me in the stomach like a ton of bricks an hour later. I got cheedar as well because I do not like the swiss that they had. The burger came out fresh and hot, however, the lettuce was overflowing. The overflow of the lettuce was reDONKulus and I did not enjoy it. The burger itself was cooked well but with too many pickles, tons of lettuce and poppyseeds filling my teeth unpleasantly. If your going to go to a burger place, its a hit or miss with Snuffers, I know its a good place, but not for these tastebuds. read more

I do recommend to eat it while it's hot because if you take your sweet time, it will just be soggy cold fries that aren't very appetizing:p but i give this 5 stars because they're service is great, food is great, and I consider it reasonable! You order a burger, but don't expect heaven on greasy buns (coincidentally that would be the slogan I'd use if I ever owned a strip club). The green chile swiss burger is good, but better when you have them bring some jalapeno slices to add to the mix. The bacon cheeseburger uses diced up bacon (bacos) instead of sliced so every bite is jam packed with porkly goodness (and that would be the name of my strip club). However, the ultimate in greasy hedonism would come in the form of the cheddar fries burger. That's right folks, 1 burger + cheddar fries = love. This thing makes my hands greasy and my stomach groan just thinking about it, but I feel drawn to it. It's the sirens to my Ulysses, the cocaine to my Cory Feldman, the crappy reality shows to my vh1. . .I can't resist it! Went here Tuesday evening and ate at the bar. There is only one way into this place so if you miss the entrance (easy to do) you are driving around the block to try again. The cheese fries with the jalapenos, bacon, and chives were excellent! I ordered the medium as an appetizer but should have ordered the small. Next was the Dr. Pepper BBQ Bacon cheeseburger. They suggested cooking at medium rare which I agreed to. I find that if a restaurant will cook their ground beef any way you like it they are typically serving a better quality of beef. The burger was also very good. I ordered the onion fries as a side. Onion fries are thick cut red onions halved (instead of circles) so they come out elongated and then are battered and fried. They were good but proved too much as I had ordered a larger appetizer than I should have. Service at the bar was acceptable but not memorable although the bartender was very attentive to what were the "regulars". Anyway not much to look at but definitely a place to try for the food. I am probably always going to be nostaligic for the Greenville location but the Addison location does a good job keeping up the same feel. The cheese fries there are amazing. Get them loaded which is with jalapenos, chives, and bacon. Not healthy but awesome. They aslo have a good burger and a the spicy battered chicken strips are good and have a kick. The waitstaff system is strange because you don't have a single waiter it is kind of a group waiter system. 9 out of 10 times it is very effiencent but 1 out of 10 you will get lost in the shuffle. I go there less often as I get older and can't eat chesse fries quite as often, but they are tasty. read more
