Phoned in an order while driving up to the restaurant. Two cheeseburgers w/ fries and 1 dr pepper. Was told 15-20 minutes. Got to the place and sat at a table to wait after informing waiter we were ther to pick up a mobile order. Not so warm personality for the hospitality industry. Food was great tasting but unfortunately cold and burger was tough.

Small bean and cheese nachos

last-minute choice for lunch wanting to try a place we haven't been to in a long long time. First of all walking in the door there was kind of a funky smell, but either get used to it or anticipates. Service was good and friendly. Ordered bean and cheese nachos and a Cobb salad. Cobb salad was great. Tangy honey mustard dressing. The bean cheese nachos, a bit disappointing, way, way, way too much cheese and way way way too little beans. However, they very nicely deducted it from our bill, appreciate that touch of Customer Service. Will stick to my favorite Swiss cheese and mushroom burger.

I've been coming here for over 30 years. This was a regular Friday night go-to after football games and before my curfew. 30-some years later, the nostalgia hits hard, even if the cheese fries aren't quite as wonderful as I remembered. The service was slow, but we weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a bother. They were good at refilling sodas and were all friendly. This is a great spot for groups. They have a varied menu with something for pretty much any diet. I'm vegetarian and got a black bean burger and my friend got a cheeseburger. We shared an order of large cheese fries. Ranch is delicious. I'll be back. As I said, the nostalgia hits hard on this place.

If you come to Snuffers, you have to try the cheese fries. These are some of Dallas' best cheese fries. We also enjoy their burgers including the classic, BBQ Bacon Burger, and Patty Melt. Snuffers is a Dallas classic and for good reason. I recommend coming here.

They do have wings!

When people come to the Chicago area, they typically ask where to eat. I would argue many in the suburbs recommend Portillo's for a great dog, Polish, or burger. When I began to frequent the Dallas area, I asked my work colleagues for a local chain that they might recommend. Many came back with the same response, Snuffers! The worn wood booths and dim lighting reminded me of a restaurant I frequented in college. I immediately felt comfortable! Service was prompt and friendly and the minimal menu provided just enough diversity to quell my appetite. WINGS Crispy and well cooked. Buffalo sauce was a standard heat level although they had other flavors to choose from. BURGER I loved my burger! Based on other's reviews, I went with the green chili option and it did not disappoint. The beef patty was not overworked or dense; a great eating experience that didn't leave me overly stuffed. CHEESE FRIES *Everyone* I talked to raved about the cheese fries. Here's the sticking point...they were just okay. Snuffers takes an oval, ceramic dish and layer it with traditional fries and melt shredded cheddar cheese on top. If you ask for 'em loaded, they add bacon and then top with green onions. I honestly don't get it; I could do this in my kitchen. Overall, Snuffers is a solid joint for typical bar food. The burgers are delicious and lighter than other venues; I would definitely come back for one. If for nothing else, I appreciated the drive down the street this Snuffers is located. I passed myriad restaurants and stores I'd like to revisit on my next trip!

We want to serve the cheese fries at our SMU reunion happy hour! Any suggestions on how to keep them from getting soggy? We were going to keep the fries hot on a hot plate buffet server.

the first I think of is open the box / package / bag / etc. Steam is the death of French fries. Also ask them to NOT put the cheese on . . . get it separately. Cheese is by nature wet so your fries will be as well. crisp them under the broiler…

Do you still serve beer batter fried jalapenos?

Hey Rhea T, that sounds yummy, but I know that the Lower Greenville location does not offer them, unless they just added them last week. Have a great day!

She brought great vibes and was nothing but sweet and attentive the whole dinner. 100/10 Let's jump into the food portion! ***Starters:*** Avocado dip - DELICIOUS! This had a lot more flavor than what we expected and the homemade chips made it the perfect appetizer. 10/10 Rainbow Sushi Roll - this was also great. The roll tasted fresh, but it is on the spicer side so don't order unless you can handle some heat. 9/10 ***Entrees:*** I got the Beverly salad and subbed my shrimp for seared ahi. According to our waitress, she said the receipt would reflect the Seared Tuna salad since there is an upcharge for the substitution but the food came out just like I ordered. My salad was fresh, bright and didn't leave me feeling heavy. 10/10 My cousin ordered the Maple Salmon. I believe the waitress said they now use gochujang sauce instead of maple. My cousin really enjoyed her meal and said she would definitely order it again. 10/10 The bachelorette ordered the steak frites, she ordered it to be cooked medium but it came out a bit more rare than she preferred. She still ate it as is and said it was tender and flavorful. 9/10 Lastly we ordered the lobster mac, this was sooooo good! The mac was runnier than I would like but the taste made up for it. I would order it again. 9.5/10

Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

WILL NEVER BE BACK!…read more HATED. EVERY. MOMENT. OF. THIS. PISS. POOR. EXPERIENCE. EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT. VALET. NOT. FREE. I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

The location is a bonus, close enough to the trail that we parked once and made a full morning of it. We got there close to opening, and with World Cup later that afternoon the wait was nonexistent. Good timing on our part. The vibe inside is cool and laid back, exactly what you want after a morning outside. Service was friendly from the jump, and the bar clearly knows what they're doing. They make a great Carrajillo, which for me is a non-negotiable bonus. On to the food. I went with the Eggs Benedict and they were top tier, great flavor, well made, and came out fast. My wife got the jalapeño biscuits and gravy, and I'm genuinely glad she did because I was torn between that and what I ordered. I ended up getting bites of both, which was the right outcome for everyone. Both were phenomenal. This one is an easy add to the rotation. The trail, the food, the Carrajillo, it all works together. I've been here once before a few years back and the sentiment has held true since then. We were looking for a place to get brunch and Chelsea provides a waitlist in their website, so when we saw it didn't show any time on the estimate portion we decided to go check them out without adding our names (what's the point if there's no wait, right?). We walked in only 5 minutes after I'd look at that waitlist and were told they actually DID have a 30min wait. I pointed out the issue with their website and they just said it was normal, and I was also confused because there were plenty of open tables all around. We sat at the bar and not even 3 mins later we got a text saying our table was ready, and we just laughed as we walked back up to the hostess. The space is laid out in a way that seemed to cut down on the overall noise which was nice, and the seats were comfortable. We were sat inside and I could see that there was further seating in an outdoor area that also looked cute. Our drinks and food were pretty good. Nothing mind-blowing, but very reasonably priced for what you get and the dishes had good portion sizes. We left more than satisfied! Our server was nice but overall kind of slow, especially towards the end. It took a while to be able to request our checks so we could pay and head out. We'll keep this place in mind for the future because of the food variety and the prices. Definitely recommend calling ahead of time and not trusting their online waitlist estimates.
