So a month ago we had a bad experience at this Snuffers which was unusual as we have been coming here for a long time. Today I am happy to review again, but this time with great results. Snuffers has one of the best hamburgers around. Their other food is really good too. I love love love their fried mushrooms with ranch. I could make a meal off of them. Lol. I love the sliders too. I love that you can make each one a different flavor- mushroom Swiss , guacamole bacon, hickory bbq with a side of fries. We had a problem with overcharges on our bill. The manager came to our table and quickly took care of it at the Richardson location. We enjoyed this visit At the Plano location my husband ordered a burger that was cooked wrong, sent back, cooked wrong again. He finally just ate it. The second visit was not the charm. The family had visited before and I felt it was over priced, bad service with inferior food quality. With visitors in from out of town, Snuffers was one of the options at hand so better the devil you know. The place is located in a strip mall with many other food businesses. There is plenty of parking around but be careful if you have a SUV due to door slams by other cars.. The place has an Applebee's feel to it with a strong sports theme. We sat down and waited for our server who only showed up to take our order and two more times. Just like our previous experience the customer service is bad. The menu is simple and not complex. You'd think this would allow better quality of food yet that is not true. We ordered the traditional burger, nachos, chicken strips and chili fries. Look if you want a tried and tested formula, go to Applebee's the food here was not good. The nachos were warm but burnt? How? I don't need to go further. For some reason this evening, it was extremely loud in the restaurant and it wasn't even probably halfway packed. Two sets of women out eating with their friends in different parts of the restaurant kept the entire place noisy! Other than that, it's a good spot to grab a burger and cheese fries any day. My husband and I are staying at the near by Hyatt House while our house is being worked on. In our three visits a week or more there are two employees who are top notch. The first is Kyle, a superb server. with his intuitive sense of what we want to eat, his suggestions are always on target. If something is not right, as in cold coffee, he is quickly on the move to make it right. His wry humor is also great fun and makes our visits more enjoyable each time. Bravo to Kyle. Good service. Decent food for the table, but stay away from the steak fingers. Definitely not steak, but hamburger patty battered and fried. Also, don't add cheese and bacon to your side of fries that you're already paying for because they'll charge you $6 to do so. Very disheartening when it's brought up to the manager and she says "I can't do anything about it" and "that's what corporate charges for cheese and bacon." The waitress walked by twice and said "let me go check on that margarita,, but never went to the bar. Took about 20 minutes to get it. Fries hadn't come out. She took our order. 15 minutes later the burger came out. I asked about the fries. She had to go check (because she hadn't put in the order). Our total visit was a big fat zero!!!! Started off with being sat at a dirty table that had been bussed but still had dirty sliverware on it & it need to be wiped down. Took too long for us to be recognized. The server wiped down our table with a cloth, but my concern is he used no spray disinfection. We ordered our drinks, a club sandwich, onion rings, & a burger cooked MR. Our ticket time took a little too long, 20 minutes for our food, and Snuffers was not at all busy. Our food finally arrived & the onion rings were really strange, not at all traditional OR's. Where I understand some folks might like them, they were not at all to my liking. ,I get that. They were not rings but onions cut in half, breaded in a flour breading not corn meal, & not white or yellow onions but red. Yuck! My burger was also cooked well done, no pink. Conner the manager came by our table & offered to recook my burger but my friend was already half way done with her sandwich. And it had already taken 20 for our order. I said thanks but I'll past. I love Snuffers and bern a customer since 1987 on Lower Greenville. By far most of my experiences over the past 35 years have been good. Over the past few years the location in Campbell has turned into our favorite. We will be pulling this location from our regular rotation. Here is why: the prices are exceeding the food, experience and service. I know prices have gone up, I get it. I also know it is hard to hire, train and keep a good wait staff. Again, I get it. My problem, which I will remember the next time we go out to eat, is how Snuffers Richardson charged me $.75 for 1 extra ranch dressing and then charged me $1.25 for a *tiny* side of gravy. How tiny? About the same size as the side of ranch that was $.75. We on average had spent $300 - $400 per month but will now be spending that $$$ elsewhere. We were not told of these charges until I saw them on our bill. The wait person said they required to charge for these now. I was not told about the me charges nor were the mentioned on the menu. Snuffers is stingy now and is not worth the price or the "nickel and dime" mentality. read more

Went to Snuffers on Tuesday evening to wolf down a cheeseburger. Snuffers serves one of the best burgers in the metroplex and at $5.00 it is a bargain. A side of fries is only 99 cents. The wait staff are friendly and the service is very responsive. The ingredients they use are A-1 quality. The do not cut any corners. The fries are a little salty. I think they use some sort of sea salt. Next time I will order them without salt. They also run a killer lunch deal on weekdays where you can order any burger on the menu along with fries for $5.99. My curbside order on Tuesday was not only fantastic, but super cheap as well. The amount of cheeseburger you get for $5 during their Tuesday special seems criminal. We had been eating at other local places for so long that, I'm not sure if I just forgot about how good their burgers are here or they got better in the mean time. I've been visiting Snuffers for decades, I mean the lower Greenville "ghost years". LOL. Anyhoo, I'm a fan of the menu and brand but not this location. The service could use some work. The place wasn't packed. I was addressed when walked in but sitting and waiting for service was another story. There was plenty of other staff from where I sat but they chose to layback and complain about scheduling instead of dropping by to check on customers (me). My server was friendly but they team spirit of the Snuffers service can you a touch up. There is no reason why some side conversations amongst servers should heard by the customer. I've been here a couple times at night to pick up and let's just say the staff is...rude. No one even acknowledges you and it's hard to get someone's attention even if they are two feet in front you. OH and on top of that I witnessed one of the bus boys VAPING IN THE KITCHEN. I saw him put it to his mouth and blow the smoke out. I used go to Snuffer's at Preston in Plano before they left. I felt that the food was really good. It's been awhile since I ate at another Snuffer's, so when I came across one here on Campbell, I wanted to try. The location is good though the parking situation is kind of challenging as some of the cars were speeding through there like they were on the Central Expwy!!! It's really nice inside and there were a quite few customers dining before dinner. The hostess and the servers were very nice, but the food, not so much. We ordered chili cheese fries with everything on it(we ordered medium and we should had ordered large). The fries were wilted and not crispy(time to change the frying oil, I don't work in restaurant business, but it was quite obvious)and my husband and I didn't enjoy it. He ordered a Dr. Pepper burger and he said it was so salty(he doesn't write Yelp reviews anymore, so I will write one on his behalf). I wanted to try Enchilada soup, but it was like a Enchilada sludge mess and was not even good, so I asked politely to send it back and they took it off the bill. This place is awesome! The service was great and the GM was actually helping us out alongside the server. That's the way to lead by example! First, I love how you get to seat yourself. And i love that no matter what tables are theirs or not if a server walks by and sees your drink is low they refill you. The food is good. Their burgers are typical, their chicken tenders are good, but those CHEESE FRIES....forget about it!!!! They are life! Plus they have EXCELLENT PRICES. You can even sit at the full service bar. Did I mention those fully loaded cheese fries with the best ranch dressing outside of that chicken wing place with the owl and the boobs. My friend ordered the fried mushrooms. Snuffer's is one of those decadent food places we all gotta indulge in sometimes. Today was one of those times for me. Our service was really good. The hostess was prompt and professional, the waitstaff and management team were attentive without being overbearing and the food was served promptly. The cheddar fries are amazing and almost a meal within themselves, depending on the size you order and the number eating them. We ordered a medium and that was plenty for two hungry adults. We also ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and a cheddar chili cheeseburger. Both were good, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed in the watery thin chili I was given with my burger. For as "hearty" as the rest of the meal was I would have expected something a bit better than that. I will probably just stick with one of their other burger options next time. read more

No words how disappointed I am. I would give it an negative-3 if it was an option. This location had promise when they opened... Where to do I begin? Service is consistently average to bad. Waiting 10 minutes for someone to approach your table happens often. Orders coming out cold, wrong, dying under the heat lamps, or not at all also happens a lot. I didn't even know who my waiter was last time I visited... five different staff members waited on our table and they did it poorly. Recently they have changed the quality of their menu items. Seasoning issues, recipe issues, cooking issues, product issues.... I have been a customer for 30+ years and it's frustrating that there is a Snuffer's three miles from my house and it is so horrible that I will be driving to lower Greenville for now on... or I will just find a new mom and pop and be done with Snuffer's for good. read more

Went here with some co workers for lunch. The service was great and not as busy as I thought it would be during lunch time. We shared the Large Cheddar Fries $7.99 which were BOMB! The fries are a good size and natural cut. The bacon was crispy and their ranch is a delicious addition. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger $8.49 which was just okay, I ordered it Medium which it was kind of, maybe half right and half well done. The bacon on it was just 2 tiny strips that did not come close to covering the top. I would gladly go back for the fries but I would have to try something else as an entree. read more

Ordered take out from Snuffers on Campbell last night. We got a classic cheeseburger, a California chicken club sandwich and a large fry. The burger and sandwich were good although I ordered the burger with no bun and it still came with the bun (I'm celiac and the bun sticks to the cheese so it's a bit of an issue). Used to go to the Greenville location until moving further north. I've been to the Richardson location a few times now. The food is great! Fried pickles are the best I've had. Also got onion rings, beyond burger, black bean burger and a regular burger which were all tasty and of good quality. It's usually busy which means they're obviously doing something right.
