The burger was great! The fries was below average compared to five guys who also have a great fresh hamburger with lots more toppings to choose from. The waitress bragged on their fries and the only establishment that severed fresh fries and burgers (not true). Price was kind of high and fries were skimpy, news on every channel but my biggest gripe would be that before we ordered the waitress was quoting rules to us. This was the first time we have visited this business and we told the waitress there was some good reviews. she told us that she couldn't stay at the table or come back to the table if we had our phones or elctronics out. It was a rule and she could show us the rule paper all stressed sounding! We almost got up and left but we were hungry and on our way to the movies. Who has rules like these. I was looking over the reviews of restaurants in the Bradenton area because I didn't feel like cooking, I wanted to either order in or just pick up and go. I didn't want the usual fare of Chinese or pizza and wings. So when I saw that this place had great burgers, take out service and it was right around the corner from my house I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. For starters we had the mac and cheese with carmelized onions,bacon and mushrooms then for a little spice the sob poppers. For our main we ordered two different burgers to share, the shroom burger and the bitchen burger and for the hell if it we both ordered the fries. Loved it all! The mac and cheese was delish the poppers were spicy and went nice with the chipolte dipping sauce. The shroom burger was great nice nutty Swiss cheese and well seasoned mushrooms. The bitchin burger had three beautiful onion rings perfectly cooked bacon and gooey gooey cheddar cheese with a side of sweet barbecue sauce. The hand cut fries stood up to the take out container without getting soggy and limp. The place is clean has a nice selection of beer pool table and tv ' s everywhere. The bartender was as nice as could be. So if you're looking for a great burger SOB should be on your list of places to try . read more

I come here often, tried many different items on the menu, I have never been unhappy with anything they have on the menu. My wife and went to SOB Burger on Saturday 9-27-15 in the late afternoon. According to the website I figured the place would be packed because of the Ohio State football game, as it is supposedly a hot spot for OSU fans to gather. The place had 6 patrons when we walked in. We were told to sit anywhere we liked. We chose a booth as the booths had Small TV's. Ours however was not in the best working order but we did not feel the need to change seats as the Big TV's on the walls were easy to see. There was one server who walked by us three times before realizing we had not been given menus yet. When she did bring them she was friendly and smiled. That was the extent of the good service. I asked about the draft beers on tap and ordered one the beer was cold but could have colder. After having to endure watching our server struggle to input the table behind us order into the computer. I had to physically flag her down to let her know we were ready to order. It is at that point I knew I needed to put on my patience hat. Prior to our food arriving the bartender passed out homemade buckeyes which was a nice touch and they were yummy! When our food arrived it was HOT and perfectly prepared although I don't think they know what medium is. Other than that the burger and fries (handcut) were awesome. I give this place a 2 out of 5 because of such and sloooow and awful service.. If the service would have matched the food I would tell everyone I know to go. But I don't want anyone to kill me for sending them there with such bad service and being so mad not enjoy the food. If they improve that this place would have a line out the door.. read more

The food is good enough, but the service is EXTREMELY slow. Not the wait staff, but the kitchen. The place was not busy at all (maybe 5 tables occupied) and it took 45 minutes after we ordered to get a burger and sandwich. I enjoy supporting small "mom and pop" businesses, but I'm afraid if this place doesn't change its practices soon, they will perish like so many other places have along the 41 corridor. Picked up a deal on Living Social and drove 2 hours to try S.O.B.'s. (Really just an excuse for a road trip.) The Voodoo burger was amazing. Definitely one of the best I have had in the area. Went in on a Saturday with four. There were maybe 4 other parties, 2 of which came in after us. It took over 40mins to get our hamburgers(3) and an order of chicken tenders. I've eaten here a few times this year. They have some of the best burgers in town. The owner is very friendly, and they will make your burger just the way you like it. We went there for Trivia night. One waitress for about 20 tables in our room. Had to go ask to be waited on. Our order took over an hour for a burger and fish and chips. The Pretzel appetizer was burnt. One in our party never got his dinner. Another person at our table had to wait 1.5 hrs for his meal. Trivia was over by the time his food came. We are vacationing in the area and went out of our way to go to S O B. The food was good but it was nothing like what we expected it to be. It was in a strip mall, a very small "joint", which might could have seated 40 people. Only 2 people working, the waitress who was friendly and the owner/bartender/cook. My husband had a burger which was very good and I had the home made Mac and Cheese that was fairly good. I think I would have been uncomfortable being there as an alone female. I don't want to say anything bad about this place, because there wasn't anything bad, it just was small and not what we expected. I hope they do really well. I've been to SOB Burgers several times and I have been happy with the food every single time. I love a good burger and and I'm never one to shy away from a challenge so this spot is perfect for me. Every time I've gone my food has come out even better than I have expected and I've always left satisfied. I know a few people that have gone and while they liked the food they were not always so happy with the service, fortunately this has not been my experience so far.
