Street parking might be tough in front of the restaurant but drive a couple blocks down and you can find some by residential areas. Met with my friends here yesterday at around 5:45pm for dinner. We were so lucky to have a street parking space. This is a small and simple restaurant. While we were waiting for our table, one of the customer highly recommended us for the Pomegranate Chicken Wings. She said it was not on the menu. We had ordered it along with Meze Platter, Mixed Grill for two and Kunafa. The foods was delicious, flavorful and with generous portion. Very disappointed about my last experience as a regular customer. I ordered a large mixed Grill platter paying over $60 and find out that large platter doesn't come with pitta bread and the girl in the front went ahead and charged me for additional pitta bread after asked why this large platter doesn't come with break. The shrimp plate was so excellent from the garlicky butter sauce to savory rice - every bite was perfect! I loved the tangy Mediterranean style pickles in the side salad as well. The flatbread was thin crust with caramelized sesame, za'atar, and cheese. These are the moments I love to eat out with friends because it's something I wouldn't have ordered but will be a must get every time I come back! Imsakhan is a traditional Palestinian dish with onions and sumac on bread. This came on a place of rice, no spices and had a dome of bread on top. I loved this spot when we had it catered at a work conference. Always a welcome treat to have real food that's filling and healthier than most restaurants when traveling, and everything tasted amazing. The falafel was so good and I could've lived on that alone. This was my first experience at Sofra Grill, and it will not be my last. The food was bountiful and delicious, my daughter and I enjoyed the hummus, which was one of the best I've ever tasted. She ordered the beef kabobs and i ordered the koftas, both were very tasty. Their drinks are awesome too, we had the pomegranate juice and guava lemonade and to end our meal we had their baklava. The service was friendly, fast and efficient, we were greeted immediately upon enter and given a table right away. Our order was taken and the food came promptly. Our server answered our questions knowledgeably and was kind enough to give us a beverage sample, that alone gave them all the stars! Excellent customer service. The restaurant is clean, welcoming and decorated with taste. I highly recommend this restaurant, I'm sure you'll be pleased too. This is my go to super authentic Mediterranean spot in my area. They honestly never miss from ordering to go and ordering to sit down. Everything is very consistent. The place is fairly small so you should make a reservation or put your name down on the waitlist. The service here is so great. They really take care of you even on a busy day. I love this place so much. If this was closer to my house, there would be a problem. My order: Beyti - This is like one of my favorite things to order is the most expensive but there's a lot going on in it all worth it. Everybody who orders basic looks over at my table and ask what this is, definitely try it. Steak Shawarma plate or wrap - depending on my mood I'll take either super filling. I love how well the steak is cooked and how flavorful it is. Hummus with steak - was looking for a little heavier appetizer, and this did not miss. They cook their steak so well and it goes so well with the hummus I would never have guessed if I did didn't try. Falafel - Never seen it in this donut shape, but it gives the most crunch and you just can't go wrong. There's salad in their bread is made fresh. If you don't have it in your order I suggest you order it. Can't forget dessert! Their kanafeh is one of my favorite things ever. Today was the 3rd time I came by Sofra Grill; two other times was for togo and I was excited to try their dine-in experience. I've always loved their chicken schwarma wrap and got it again today. It's always tasty and juicy! When I'd get it togo, the wrap is still really yummy but it can get a little soggy from all the juice and sauce. Dining in was ideal for the wrap - where you get the crunch of the wrap and the juicy goodness inside. I particularly love the pickles they put inside the chicken schwarma wrap. Today's wrap felt a little different than the prior two times; the pickles in today's wrap was sliced, vs. (if I recall correctly) diced in small pieces in my two prior visits. It's still a yummy wrap, I just prefer small-diced pickles more, the way they used to have it. I also had a guava lemonade today. That was good too! The hubby ordered the beyti, and he loved it; the beyti is definitely a dish you'd want to dine-in for. Unfortunately, the main dish arrived too quickly, within 3 minutes, and was cold by the time I got to it. I asked for a take-out box and ended up taking the food with me. The lemon rounded everything up! This plate also came with a great side salad, I think it had a Greek dressing. The wraps are bigger than they appear on the picture, two people could share this plate! I really liked the sauces and the crunch from the pickles. The Kunafa had crispy, flakey phyllo. The sweetness from the ice cream and the cheese balanced each other out - I hadn't had anything like that before. If you're a fan of sweet and savory this is the dessert for you! This is my neighborhood gem! With Mazra down, we've been looking for a good place to get our fix. This is it! It's a small narrow hole in the wall restaurant with friendly service, but the most delicious food. The order is really friendly as well as the rest of the staff. If you go during standard dinner hours, expect a wait. The meze platter is a great start to a meal if you can't decide between hummus and baba ghanoush. The mixed Grill can feed 3 to 4 and comes with a nice salad to balance out the rice and the meats. The beyti is so good... it's just the beef and lamb wrapped with sauce and yogurt as a garnish. I'm not a big fan of lamb, but the lamb shank was very well presented. Kunafa is the best part of our meal, which is why we save it for last. Who knew cheese and ice cream could taste so good! It was good for a quick meal but there are other Mediterranean places I'd prefer to go to! I ordered via DoorDash and they were pretty quick but I didn't realize that the kunafa dessert doesn't come with the ice cream if you order via delivery apps even if you're picking up in store. They said that they don't provide the ice cream because it melts but they gave it to me anyways since I asked. They should put a disclaimer on the apps to tell people that the ice cream is not included (even though they charge the same price) because I definitely got the whole dessert for the ice cream. The plate's portion size was a bit small and I wish it had more chicken kebab on there. Wraps were a decent size though! The lebneh and signature sofra bread was to die for! The ambiance is simple and befitting for a place that's an affordable midweek dinner or lunch place. Wouldn't mind trying a couple more items from their menu another time.
