Great Latin restaurant! You can order at the kiosk or with a cashier and the food is brought out to you. You get your own drinks and utensils etc. Prices were very reasonable. Food was delicious. We had a party of 13, we ordered in groups of 3. Food came out quickly. Main thing, weather was not good and they mostly have outdoor seating. Indoor was packed. That made our experience not good. read more

I visited Sofrito Latin Café while in Orlando, FL, and it instantly became one of my new favorite spots. I ordered the Churrasco with yellow rice and a fresh, crisp salad, and let me tell you, it was amazing. The steak was perfectly seasoned and tender, paired with the rice and salad made it a truly memorable meal. I also tried three different drinks, and the passion fruit was by far the best. If you go, definitely order a large. ou won't regret it! The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was warm, and the food exceeded every expectation. I'm already looking forward to coming back on my next trip to Orlando. This place is truly a gem! read more

We ordered at the kiosk when we walked in so we didn't have to wait in any line. The menu has a wide variety of options and we were really impressed. We got the empanada, mini papa rellenas, ham croquetas, a side of shredded beef (just like ropa vieja), and sides of rice and beans. This was more than enough food for two people just having lunch. I genuinely enjoyed everything except the mini papa rellenas. I'm not sure if it was the potato to meat ratio or the flavor of the meat itself, but I didn't like them and I wouldn't order those again. We sat in the outside patio area and they brought the food out to us which was nice. Overall, great place for some Hispanic food. Definitely going to come here again! read more

This was my first time here and let me say I will definitely be here again and can't wait to try some other food! Instead of getting a meal we decided to get a little of everything. We got side of rice, side of beef, and side of beans. And tbh these items are very much shareable if you're getting some other items. I also got an Argentinian empanada, we got croquetas and papa. Service was great and fast! This location has soooo many seating options. They had a bar, inside seating and a huge outside area! Only thing I would say is I wish the food was a bit hotter only because when we got it, it was warm but borderline kind of cold. But the food was full of flavor and I'd come back! read more

When you enter you order either at kiosks or with a staff members the door to lines is a little awkward but staff was really friendly helpful, explained everything and answered questions. I order ham croquettes, an arepa, passion fruit juice and macchiato. The ham croquettes I believe they make with a Boshell sauce for the filling and if so, they definitely didn't cook it long enough. The paste tasted heavily of flour overall though they were crispy and a good balance, but I wish it wasn't so overpowering tasting a flour. The arepa I got had shredded beef beans, cheese, and plantains unfortunately, it only had one chunk of plantain and then that was it. The beef was plentiful and really good flavor the beans oddly were stuck together. I'm not exactly sure why the biggest disappointment, though the arepa was sopping wet like the juice of the meat hadn't been drained off at all and so they really really fell apart and was just mush. By far, my favorite thing was the passionfruit juice. It was absolutely perfect. As you can see from the pictures, I did take my food to go, but sat in the dining room while waiting and it was really nice. read more

Sofrito was a pleasant surprise when we were looking for a Latin cuisine on our side of town (West side of Orlando/Winter Garden area). Admittedly we were looking to take some family to specifically Cuban but found Sofritos intriguing. Food was very good and nice array of options. Some of the dishes must be prepared slightly different as I got what I would have at a traditional Cuban restaurant, but it was listed under a different country (for example Ropa Vieja). The set up as you walk in, and can order from their touchscreen, or the register, then proceeded to sit down, and they bring you your meals shortly thereafter. Super friendly staff, easy ordering process. Oh, and by the way, $5 happy hour special on drinks, definitely makes it worth going a little bit earlier. Ambience is very casual, indoor and outdoor seating, you select your own seating. read more

This is always one of our top stops when we visit Orlando. The food is solid Latin fare, and the prices are great for larger families. On our most recent visit we had the arepa con queso de mano (corn cake stuffed with a huge slice of homemade salted cheese) that melts into the arepa perfectly after a few bites, mini cheese tequeños, Colombian empanadas (these are corn versus the thin flour dough ones), and fried yuca. On other visitors we've tried the Lomo Saltado arepa, tostones, churassco, and the Cuban sandwich. As you'll see from the menu there's a ton of great options from several different countries. Give this place a try - you won't regret it! read more

The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, including the bathroom. The vibe is pleasant, but unfortunately, the most important factor--the food--was disappointing. I've been to many Cuban and Latin restaurants, and based on that experience, this sandwich and soup do not belong on the menu of a Cuban restaurant. Came here because I wanted a cuban sando. People loved it and say it was a reasonable price. . I started with a espresso with little milk and the coffee was good. It was strong and tasty. . Venezuelan beef empanada the crust was good. It was crispy and chewy. It came with a green dip that was flavorful. I had to ask for some habenero sauce to spice things up. . Habenero sauce they make this home made but it wasn't as spicy as I thought it be. . Cuban sandwich - big portion for under 10 bucks. The sandwich was really good and great for sharing. Sofrito Latín Café has been on list to try for awhile. I came here during Latino heritage month and enjoyed it so much I've been back twice. You order at kiosk and take a number. They also have a person to take your order if the kiosk isn't your thing. The staff smiles and seem friendly but really don't say much. They restaurant is clean. Located in a tourist area so I'm sure they get busy but I've never had to wait. Everything I've tried so far has been good. I love the tequenos, passion fruit juice, empanadas and the fried snapper. I could put the cilantro garlic sauce on everything. I'm looking forward to trying their coffee during my next trip. read more

01.21.2024 *TAKE OUT ORDER* Our good friend recommended trying this place. This was our first meal after we landed in Orlando. We got there at 8:30, and they were closing at 9:00 pm. So we made it just before closing. The little cafe is in a small strip mall. There are self-order monitors and a cashier on the left for ordering. You seat yourself after ordering and they bring the food out to you according to the table number. There's a bar but there are no TVs. So you're enjoying each other's company and the delicious food. The Argentinian spinach empanada had a pastry exterior versus the Cuban chicken empanada, which was a crispy exterior. The Argentinian beef empanada reminded me of Filipino empanadas with a thicker dough/pastry. The fried sweet plantains were the best! It was the side for hubby's Cubano. A good size and filled with a lot of meat. 01/23/2024 *TAKE OUT ORDER* Hubby finished his last meeting of the day at 8:30 pm so we sped on over again to pick up dinner for me, dessert for him and cocktail drinks to go! Churros were okay but the Piña Colada was AMAZING!! We were loving the "To Go" drinks from here. Definitely a place we'd come back to! This place is fire! Great customer service, fast order to eat time, and delicious food. We had the 36 hour slow roast pork, plantains, empanadas, and yellow rice. Was a little nervous going here because of the location, but don't let the traffic stop you! The front entrance is a little confusing, but for someone like me who needs to eat gluten free, this place was excellent. I had the carnitas and one of the empanadas that is gluten free. Highly recommend both it was a great variety and could try everything. The portions were big and loved the sauces they gave on the side. Whenever I am In the Orlando area I have to make a stop at Sofrito Latin Cafe. They have a nice variety of Latin classics all done right. The portions are great and the flavors take me home. The main dining room has plenty of seating and they have a large outdoor patio. There's a full bar inside as well. The staff are very knowledgeable with the menu items, helpful, and patient. Please support local businesses, the chains have more than enough money to thrive. It's close to many attractions. read more

The establishment was very ambient, cozy, and well furnished. I liked the warm, glowing atmosphere of the restaurant. The server was extremely polite and took our order quite soon. We were starving after a long day but the food came out in around 20ish minutes which wasn't too bad. The serving sizes were quite huge. We didn't expect this much food for two portions. For $34 per plate, the dishes were large and came with a large helping of sides. The fried chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. They originally wanted to serve the food quickly/more fresh so they served a chicken thigh to me after on a second plate. They also forgot my substitution of Mac n cheese for mash potatoes so I got a free helping of mash which was sweet. The pickled cucumber was light and fresh which tasted great with the heavier chicken. The potatoes were a little heavy and I wish came with gravy, but still delicious. I really loved the Mac n cheese and finished that up. The chicken steak was also delicious with the grits but a little too salty. Wish they added the grits to the side for me to dip as it became a little too much at times. It was better to eat it with a side of potatoes to balance the flavor. The broccolini was sautéed perfectly and delicious, could eat a whole plate of those alone. The biscuits weren't bad but tasted better eaten with the potatoes. The food was a little heavy but so so good. We had to take half of the food to our hotel and ate it the next day for dinner as it was way too much food for one meal. Even after microwaving it, the food was just as delicious and flavorful. We spent about $80 but had so much food leftover. An expensive dinner, but everything tasted amazing. Would definitely come back if I had the chance.

Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

You can tell that the crepe is really thin with rich layers of cream in between. It's an Asian bakery so the sweetness level is not as intense, and the bread dough is on the soft and pillowy side. Oh did I mention they also offer dimsum and a bunch of other things too. Yes, you can eat your breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea here. And probably still want more.

Staff at Sofrito have asked me to write a review. Here it is: We was attracted by the name "Sofrito", especially because my two companions are actually Puerto Rican and they were craving for Puerto Rican food. First thing we asked was for the famous Mofongo, they said that they have it. We ordered a Shrimp mofongo and a Pork mofongo, myself I ordered Roast Pork. While we wait for it we got some empanadas that were delicious, and other appetizers really good. When we got the entrees there was the problem. The mofongo was cold and we doubt about it that it was made on premises. About my roast pork, I was not able to eat it. I try a couple of pieces and I left it in the plate almost untouched. I have never had such a hard rock pieces of pork with a microwave reheated test. Because I am honest i told the server right away. We ended up not eaten our entrees because my companions had similar issues. I was drinking beer and my companions coconut soda. Because the bad test of the food was in our mouth before we left, we ask for one coconut soda to wash it down. We paid our bill in full, even if we did not eat the food, and we left. Can you believe that they rushed out asking us to pay for the last can of soda? Obviously this people does not have any restaurant experience ! Any restaurant if you leave the food untouched will have some kind of compensation, some others will not even charge you for the food you did not eat !. This place knows how to make real Latin food that hits all the right spots - everything was fresh, flavorful, and made you feel like family. I tried the churrasco steak with yuca and maduros. The steak was perfectly grilled with a nice char on the outside but still juicy inside. It came with this amazing chimichurri sauce that had just the right amount of garlic and herbs. We visited this place three years ago and had a fantastic experience, so we were excited to return. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. When we ordered lunch to go, we encountered several issues during pickup, but we assumed it was just a one-time problem. We decided to give it another try and came in for dinner today. Sadly, things only got worse. Winni took our order incorrectly, was noticeably rude, and overcharged us. When we asked her to correct the mistake, she responded with an attitude rather than an apology. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely bland and lacked any flavor. To top it off, we ordered dessert, but it was never brought out--we had to specifically ask for it. Overall, this visit was nothing like our first and left us very disappointed. I recently discovered a fantastic Cuban restaurant located close to Disney, thanks to a colleague who took me there. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich and was blown away by how delicious it tasted. From the moment I walked in, I felt at home. The staff here are warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see you--such a refreshing vibe that sets the tone for a great meal. The worse service in Orlando a -10. Place was empty and we had to wait over 30 minutes for a coffee. Spoke to the Manager and still did not get service. Soup was spilled all over the plate, food was totally cold after they finally brought it. I have never, ever received such an unprofessional and insufficient service. Asked for silverware after finally the food came and had to stand up and go get it myself because they never brought it. I give this restaurant a -10 and then some. read more

Luis who works there went above and beyond for me with my order especially when uber eats messed up and canceled my order. Not only was the employee working there (Luis) amazing but the food was fantastic. I ordered the lomo Saltado and pollo a la brasa. The meats were cooked to perfection and had amazing flavors. Order at the counter and food is brought to the table. Portions are a bit small but food was good. Prices were fair. Restaurant was very clean and very busy. Staff moved quickly and it was difficult to get attention when there were issues. Sad that bread wasn't served with the meal. Ive been to a lot of Cuban restaurants given I live in Tampa and not getting bread is really unusual. Still, an authentic meal with some other Latin menu items. read more

There are many options for Latino food in Florida. Being a chef and one that cooks and eats this type of cuisine regularly, I can be critical at time. This was not bad at all. I enjoyed the outside cafe area, and the service was good. Prices were not bad for the area and the connivence of several hotels within walking distance. Unfortunately, almost everything was downhill from there. Pea puree would not be my choice for a base, and the fingerling potatoes were overcooked but had good flavor. A side of brussel sprouts came with three of the four dishes we ordered, and they were overcooked and almost flavorless. Mushrooms came on two of the dishes and they had no salt or seasoning. My daughter's chicken was exceptionally dry but she said it was ok. Her fingerling potatoes had good flavor but we're off-putting because they were drenched in sauce and mushy. The mushroom risotto with scallops and pancetta was thick and creamy. The flavor was good, the scallops small, and the pancetta in small cubes. They should not have put the bland mushrooms across the top. The bone in pork chop was a little tough, and the bleu cheese flavor hits you over the head. Avoid if you don't like bleu cheese. The fingerling potatoes were perfect with this dish. The four of us were exceedingly uncomfortable every second we were in the restaurant because I would venture to guess the air conditioning was set to 60°. Two of us had jackets on with our hoods up in August. Our server explained that they keep it this cold because when it's hot outside, the humidity makes it damp inside. I argue that they could easily still turn it up a few degrees and the humidity wouldn't shoot up too much for comfort. When your check arrives, figure out the tip on your own instead of using their suggestion since they include taxes in their suggested tip. Tip should always be figured from the subtotal. Surprisingly, they did not even wish us a happy anniversary, and I made a note on the reservation. I read that Mythos will be closing within a year. If they are updating and not changing it completely, I hope they fix these issues because it really did have a great vibe. As it stands, I would not return, but hope you have a positive experience. Remember a sweater! :)
