The person at the front sadly could be better utilized somewhere else in the restaurant as he wasn't friendly or kind and seemed annoyed by our questions about the differences between the menu items. Hubby and I visited this place recently while in Orlando and the food was delicious! First thing - when you walk in, there's kiosks to place your own order or you can place the order with the attendant at the stand. You grab a table number, take a seat, and wait for your food to arrive. They have fountain drinks where you serve yourself but they also have a full bar with drinks. The restaurant itself is spacious, while also having seating outside. It was chilly so we opted to stay inside. Food came out maybe 10-15 minutes after we placed the order and like I said, it was delicious! We opted to get the picada for two which ended up being way more food than expected - we couldn't finish! The chicken and steak were grilled to perfection. The sausage was super tasty. Pork belly and tostones were just okay to me. Fried yuca was great, especially when dipped into the mayoketchup sauce (there were different sauces brought out with this, including a chimichurri sauce). Mini arepas and cheese were also really good. A good plate to get if you're undecided on what to eat. Definitely would make this a place to eat again when we're in Orlando! read more

My order came out quickly from the kitchen and was brought out by a friendly server. The sandwich was delicious with the right balance of ingredients and flavor. The establishment has both indoor seating and outdoor covered patio seating. There is also a large bar in the interior of the restaurant with numerous individual bar seats. Our family went to this restaurant in hopes of experiencing a different type of cuisine compared to what we have back in our city. However, my son did not want Latin/Cuban food so he ordered chicken tenders and fries. After taking a couple of bites, he realized the chicken was undercooked in the middle. We all know that eating raw chicken can lead to health issues, so I reported the situation to the staff. The owner was apologetic and decided to refund our money, promising to credit the amount back to our credit card. However, two weeks had passed, and we still hadn't seen any refund. I called the restaurant, and they assured me that it would appear in our account soon. Unfortunately, it never did. I'm writing this to highlight how such situations can happen, where restaurants make promises to return your money but fail to follow through. I was in Orlando to visit my grandmother in May and returned in July. Both times I made it a point to come to Sofrito even though she lives in St. Cloud. The thing I miss most about living in Kissimmee is the Puerto Rican food. So in May when I stumbled on Sofrito I was so happy to have some delicious pernil. I miss pernil so much! In May I had the pernil sandwich with a Kola Champagne. Omg it took me back to my childhood. I returned in July and stayed at the Hampton Inn down the street specifically because it was close to Sofrito lol. I had Sofrito for breakfast and dinner each day. The fresh juices were very good and freshly made. My favorite was the sauces as they are all made in house and were very delicious.
