Hubby and I visited this place recently while in Orlando and the food was delicious! First thing - when you walk in, there's kiosks to place your own order or you can place the order with the attendant at the stand. You grab a table number, take a seat, and wait for your food to arrive. They have fountain drinks where you serve yourself but they also have a full bar with drinks. The restaurant itself is spacious, while also having seating outside. It was chilly so we opted to stay inside. Food came out maybe 10-15 minutes after we placed the order and like I said, it was delicious! We opted to get the picada for two which ended up being way more food than expected - we couldn't finish! The chicken and steak were grilled to perfection. The sausage was super tasty. Pork belly and tostones were just okay to me. Fried yuca was great, especially when dipped into the mayoketchup sauce (there were different sauces brought out with this, including a chimichurri sauce). Mini arepas and cheese were also really good. A good plate to get if you're undecided on what to eat. Definitely would make this a place to eat again when we're in Orlando! read more

The Mojito flight has a beautiful display and were pretty strong, yet not too spirit-forward. We ordered the Picada for 2 and we liked the assortment of different meats and sides. Portions around the table were huge! While we ordered the steak as medium, it was closer to medium-well. The service for our food was quick, but the reason for 4 stars and not 5 was because a pair in our group ordered desserts that kept getting forgotten, despite a couple reminders. I appreciated their restaurant being open on a Holiday and more so the fact they are an independent business and not associated with a regional or national chain. The restaurant serves Pan-Latin menu items in a fast casual setting. I opted for the Media Manana which is a Cuban pressed sandwich consisting of two eggs, ham, Swiss cheese on sweet egg bread. My order came out quickly from the kitchen and was brought out by a friendly server. The sandwich was delicious with the right balance of ingredients and flavor. The establishment has both indoor seating and outdoor covered patio seating. There is also a large bar in the interior of the restaurant with numerous individual bar seats. Went to this place a while a go and it was a mediocre experience. The food was okay, nothing special about it. The restaurant is clean and nice, again: nothing special about it. I was in Orlando to visit my grandmother in May and returned in July. Both times I made it a point to come to Sofrito even though she lives in St. Cloud. The thing I miss most about living in Kissimmee is the Puerto Rican food. So in May when I stumbled on Sofrito I was so happy to have some delicious pernil. I miss pernil so much! In May I had the pernil sandwich with a Kola Champagne. Omg it took me back to my childhood. I returned in July and stayed at the Hampton Inn down the street specifically because it was close to Sofrito lol. I had Sofrito for breakfast and dinner each day.
