The food we had was delicious and authentic. Hubby had the vegetarian main event with black beans and yellow rice and I had the salmon main event with black beans and regular rice! Both were served with fresh green salad and maduros! I immediately poured my black beans over my rice and enjoyed the perfectly cooked medium grilled salmon with it. So yummy!!! The dining room was very clean and roomy. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can order at the register or at the multiple kiosk which makes it very efficient. What we loved was the manager or possibly the owner came out to ask how everything was! This was very impressive and a great touch for great customer service! So good we came by twice! I spent a week in Orlando with the family and we were craving authentic home-cooked meals (needed a break from theme park food). I got so excited about this place that I forgot to take photos! I'll start by saying I was impressed with all of the drinks our party ordered. They were some of the best drinks I've had in Florida and were priced very fairly. I highly recommend the mojito flight, as each of the unique flavor drinks was a hit. The ordering experience was also really streamlined. You order at the counter or one of the kiosk stations and the servers bring the food out to your table. The kiosks were clutch because they had pictures for all the dishes, but be warned the portions are larger than they appear in the photos! Another huge plus. We ordered the Churrasco Steak, Patacon, yucca fries, and ham croquettes. Only reason for docking a star is that 1. We ordered a margarita frozen and it came out on the rocks 2. A wonderful restaurant in Orlando just north of Disney Springs. According to their website this restaurant was founded in 2015 and states, "Latin Countries Around The World Are Known For Their Unique Flavors And Delicious Cuisine, But There Is One Element Which Binds Them All Together - Sofrito." This is a hidden gem of a place. It is located just north of Disney Springs in a small shopping center. Parking is limited but you should be able to find a parking space. The restaurant takes up easily to 1/2 of the shopping center with a covered outside eating area and inside dining area with large windows allowing a lot of natural light. You enter and order at one of 3 computers and take a number to your table. The tables are wood and the chairs are steel. There are about 11 6-person tables in the inside eating area. There is a bar at the back of the restaurant. I ordered a pear salad and a Cuban sandwich. They arrived within about 10 minutes. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was clean, and the prices were great. I hope that they will open other locations but, in the meantime, I plan to visit this location again and highly recommend it to my fellow travelers looking for a really good taste of Latin cuisine. So far so good! I started a new job nearby, and this place was recommended by all my coworkers. They recommended their baked items, but I wanted to try a main dish. I have to say, their oven roasted chicken, as plain as it sounds, was delicious! Idk how they managed to keep the inside of the chicken soft, while the skin was thin and crispy. Most chicken with crispy skin are dry inside. If they can serve chicken this well, I look forward to their other dishes. Pretty good food, but inaccurate delivery time. This review is for delivery by Door Dash. We ordered lunch to be delivered to our hotel. The restaurant was less than 2 miles away, and the estimated delivery time was 20-35 minutes. I ordered a couple kids meals, the pernil with black beans and rice, and a Cuban sandwich. The food itself was fine. I wouldn't recommend the chicken tenders (under-seasoned, and arrived soggy), but my daughter really wanted chicken tenders, and they were on the menu. The Cuban sandwich was nicely pressed. The pernil was a huge serving, and everything about it was pretty tasty, if a bit heavy on the cumin. My qualm was the delivery. Door Dash said the restaurant accepted my order and was preparing my food right away. Then they said that the dasher had arrived at the restaurant and was waiting for the food to be prepared about 15-20 minutes after I placed the order, so then I headed down to the lobby to wait for the food. I then proceeded to wait for more than 20 minutes for the status to change to food picked up. So all in all, it was over 40 minutes to get my order. Which isn't bad for delivery, but don't say 20-35 minutes if it's going to be more like 35-50 minutes. You're wasting both my time and the time of the dasher. read more

What a fun cafe!! I didn't know what to expect when we walked in and was pleasantly surprised! You order when you walk in and the owner helped us choose some excellent items from their menu. The pork plate was a huge hit with our party and was so extremely flavorful. I was between an arepa and the burger and the owner steered me toward the burger. I was not disappointed!!! It was a fantastic mix of flavors and textures with a juicy burger right in the middle that I would definitely get again! To top it off, we got margaritas (very strong FYI!) and delicious tres leches cake. Both so good! This is right off I drive but felt so tucked away. This was my fave because the seasoning was perfect and the bread was so soft. The churrasco platter is pretty big. It comes with tostones, rice, beans and salad. The ham & cheese croquetas and shredded beef empanadas are a nice way to start if you're wanting any appetizers. Coconut flan is small but after eating all that food, it's the right size. Found this spot and hadn't had latin food in FOREVER plus great reviews, we were IN! We order a craft of Red Sangria to share. Delicious. Sweet but not too sweet. Flavorful and refreshing. I ordered the Churrasco with sweet plantains, black beans and tostones. The steak was delicious and chimmichurri was so good. The plantains were cooked well and the tostones were good (could use a little salt). Black beans tasted out of a can so not going to rave on those. Over all it was pretty good. We walked in and we're welcome and accommodated right away. You order your food at the register and they provide you with a number to be seated. Like a fast food service. My boyfriend and I ordered the Columbian chicken empanada and I preferred an iced latte. Empanada are 5/5 and the coffee is a 5/5! Wish I had a spot like this back home. Been here before; still as good as I remember. Food was delicious, reasonably priced, and fresh. I had the churrasco and my wife had an arepa with a side of maduros. Food was prepared quickly and looked so appetizing I honestly forgot to take a picture for the review. The Latin American ambiance was cozy and the music was great without being loud enough to affect the volume of conversations. Reminded me of when my family would have friends over for a get together and meal when I was younger. The crew was friendly and helpful. Happy to help me with questions. I will point out that the restaurant is partially self service. You can either order at a kiosk or at the entrance where there is a register, then the food and cups will be brought to whatever table you seat yourself at. You will have to get your own refills. I like this place a lot! It's sorta quick service, which I find convenient! I always get their empanadas, but it's a yay or nay as sometimes it feels a bit overcooked. So, we're New Yorkers and we have dined at Sofrito's there. This is not the same venue. Initially we thought so. However, this is Sofrito's Latin Cafe. Nonetheless, the food was great, I had the pernil (roast pork), yellow rice, red beans. My hubby had the same but had beef empandas. His comment was that the beef is shredded rather than ground. He does prefer the ground beef but the empanda was still flavorful. The staff is great and super friendly. The drinks are ok...I think that has to do with the type of liquor used, i.e. no Barcadi Gold for a Cuba Libre. It's a different type of rum that my husband wasn't used to.
