This review is a little late but I wanted to say how much I loved it here. Such a wonderful study environment with high quality drinks. I went a month or so ago and the workers are very friendly and warm. They additionally gave me and my friend two free lattes since they were doing a photo shoot with the two drinks. Out of the 3 drinks I tried, I can safely say this is high quality coffee. I also loved the caprese croissant I had for lunch. I stayed the whole day and was treated with kindness the whole time :) read more

The two most important things to running a business is customer satisfaction and the product quality. This cafe nailed both. The area was spacious and cozy. There was a variety of seating options, whether you're a large party or enjoying coffee by yourself. I tried the strawberry lemonade, strawberry matcha, the Madagascar Latte, and the açaí bowl. I could not recommend each item more! The lady at the front showed genuine care for our satisfaction and we felt very welcomed and valued as guests. If ever in the area, this IS a spot worth visiting. read more

I'm the type of person will order multiple coffees, and food, when I post up at a coffee shop to do some work, but not when it's $7 for one the size of a small. This place has a nice layout, wifi and plugs, making it comfortable to work in. I was only here for about one coffee's worth of time, so I don't feel so bad. The mocha I had was more of a dark chocolate tasting mocha. If you are looking for a more Gen-Z, minimalist looking coffee shop then maybe this is more of your thing. read more

A hidden, family owned gem in Hawthorne! They have such a variety of options here. The matcha and coffee drinks as well as sandwiches, pasties, and ice cream! It's a one stop shop that will make everyone in the family satisfied. A great place to study or hang out with friends. They have games and a few areas so sit. We stopped and got cold brew with banana foam and it was really good. It was made in house and doesn't have an artificial taste to it. We were up here for a swim class for the kids and needed a caffeine fix. The area is so-so, the store is cute inside. Will definitely go back, if we are in the area. read more

Cute, clean, small coffee shop. When I went there was plenty of seating available, definitely a place to come study if someone wanted to. I was greeted by friendly workers and helped with the questions I had. I tried the Banana soft cloud. I rate it a 7/10 not the best I've tried but still good! There was more of the foam then match. Next time around I think I'll try the açaí bowl or croissants! They looked so good!! read more

My wife and I are always looking for coffee shops to enjoy a cup of coffee. Luckily we found a new local spot here in the neighboring city of Hawthorne. They just opened a month ago so we're the first of what I'm hoping is many future visits. We both ordered the Madagascar vanilla latte. Mine was hot while my wife's was iced. I have to say I preferred my wife's iced version but I'm just a sucker for hot coffee. Both options are delicious. We also ordered a cinnamon roll and it definitely hit the spot. I recommend you get that warmed up. Service was fast, maybe waited about 5 minutes so be patient with them since they're a small operation. It's a calm environment with some music playing so nothing loud or annoying which is good, we can enjoy our coffee. It's safe to say that we found a local spot that we will be regulars at. I started coming here with my chihuahua after her sister passed away, and we were both feeling pretty down. I was so grateful to discover that this place is dog friendly--it gave us somewhere warm and welcoming to go while we healed. Every time I visit, the staff is genuinely kind and makes me feel right at home. I've been drinking coffee my whole life and have tried just about every coffee shop in the South Bay, and this one is hands down my favorite. The coffee always tastes high-quality, and their matcha is absolutely to die for. Unlike other places where the drinks can be hit or miss, every single visit here has been consistently perfect. I came to this place looking for an Acai bowl and I definitely was not not disappointed... First this place has the quiet, work/coffee place where you could either relax, meetup with your friends, or to enjoy some delicious coffee and treats.. Second, I ordered the large Acai bowl and the person working flooded me with options that would have been extra at another place.. This a nice cafe along Hawthorne boulevard. Growing up I don't think we've had a cute local feeling (not hipster) cafe in the area. It's a lot larger inside than it look from the outside, has tall ceilings. I went on a weekday morning and it took a while for my latte. Granted there was only one worker who I can tell was trying her best and there were about 3-4 orders in front of me that ordered acai bowls. But I was still willing to wait and support. I saw their menu and saw some of the drinks. The reviews were high so i thought the place would be fire. And I'll say damn that was some good coffee. I told the barista is was my first time here and she was really helpful and welcoming. Told her I had a nut allergy so she was very understanding. I had the Belgium mocha I think it's called. Iced with extra ice cuz I like my drinks cold cold. The taste was amazing, kind of like dark chocolate but having that coffee taste. 10/10. The inside is really cozy and I love the fountain they got in the corner. Parking is no issue. U can park near the outside spots or in the neighborhood area. I parked in 130th street cuz I just wanted a guaranteed spot and I like to walk. This place is a banger. I want to try the French lavender latte next. It looks awesome. The cafe is decorated cute, it's very clean and inviting with some available seating but it fills up quickly as people come to study. The times I've been here I've only seen the same 2 people behind the register so the service has been okay. The same woman who took orders also made the drinks so it was a bit of a wait at the counter while you watch her make the drinks as she finishes to come and take the next order. There's not many employees from what I can tell so it just takes more time than you'd hope. However the drinks are pretty good, I've had their vanilla latte and their tira misu latte. The tira misu tastes better and was sweeter but both were enjoyable. They also offer pastries, açaí bowls, and matcha. The pastries/cookies seem to be bought in bulk from Costco. read more

I've tried many cafes in LA and OC, and I really wanted to like this spot because it's closer to home... but unfortunately, their version of double matcha (known as their softie matcha) just didn't hit the mark with me. I also tried their breakfast burrito, and I found it weird that they only filled the salsa container up to 1/3. Other than that that, service is great and the place is cute. Soft cafe is a great new spot in South Bay, currently in my top 3, not gonna lie. Coming in seeing roughly 40 reviews, I knew it was fairly new on the scene but they came with it! We ordered the French lavender latte (7.7/10) & banana soft cloud matcha (8.8/10). For someone who is a huge fan of banana and matcha, that drink was chuggable! Service was amazing and they were very helpful when it came to ordering our drinks! I love the setting of the shop too, it is a great spot to mellow out and get work done if needed or going with people to have conversation. There were some board games and books to read also! I prefer Specialty's cookies a lot more. We will see how long Crumbl lasts before cookies go out of style like cupcakes causing Sprinkles' and Crumbs' demise.

The 2nd customer waited patiently and got his long list of order. Then when I heard the price total...yep! This bakery has pricey goods. My turn came and all I said was TooGoodToGo...their day old pastries that were sold for lesser price. Maybe waiting patiently paid off since the man gave me 2 bags containing 6 pastries (I only paid for a bag)! I heated one muffin when I got home...and they were good! Will I make the trip again....uhmm....maybe.

The overall dining experience was disappointing. From the moment we walked in, there was an unwelcoming atmosphere -- we were neither greeted warmly nor made to feel like valued guests. The food itself was mediocre, lacking in flavor and presentation, and fell short of expectations. To make matters worse, the staff got our order wrong the first time. When we brought it to their attention, they corrected it, but did so with a noticeable attitude that made us feel uncomfortable, as though we were inconveniencing them. The situation escalated when the owner approached us mid-conversation, interrupting without so much as an apology. Instead of addressing us respectfully, she abruptly and rudely demanded an explanation for a review we had left, creating an unnecessarily hostile and confrontational environment. The cafe is beautifully run by two wonderful sisters from Ukraine, who have created such a warm and inviting atmosphere that you feel right at home the moment you step in. I was really excited when Soft Cafe opened near my place in Hawthorne. It's a nice, cozy spot with friendly staff and a welcoming vibe. I appreciate good food and drinks, but even more than that I appreciate excellent service and a hospitable host. Good Coffee has both of these things which is why I highly recommend it and will definitely be back for that peach cobbler matcha!

The breakfast sandwich was a generous portion on a warm brioche bun with thick bacon, egg, chipotle sauce, and fresh greens. We also tried the churros, which were clearly made fresh to order. They were not overly sweet, perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The horchata coffee was absolutely divine and something I would come back just for. Everything here is made fresh, and you can taste the difference. The outdoor seating area with music created such a joyful, relaxing atmosphere and made the whole morning feel special. Very muggy and stuffy and unless you sat right by the fans/portable AC unit they had, would start sweating. Had to step outside because it was cooler than indoors. Wouldn't return because of how uncomfortably hot it was unless the AC just happened to be broken that day.
