STL bringing the vegan flavors at this must-stop. The Benton Park location is a converted gas station. It has a cool vibe and great outside seating by a native plant garden. Get the burnt ends, the pickle fries, and the po'boy. Eat your greens with the Caesar salad. Drink it down with the prickly pear margarita. We spoke with the manager who told us how they make their patties in house. Watch out for a new location opening in Kirkwood.

Wow! I havnt had BBQ in so long and this really hit the spot! The staff was nice and so glad to sit outside on the patio! The cocktails were delicious and all of the food so good I didn't even have any leftovers! Will be going back and you have to try it yourself!

Such great vegan food, I'm so excited!! The burnt ends we're Awesome!!! The drinks were great and quick. It was an old gas station, with the garage doors that open the whole place up. The service was great and quick. I can't wait to go back

We came here on a lovely Saturday evening! Weather was perfect to sit on the patio. We ordered inside and they brought the food to our table. We tried the popcorn chicken appetizer this time, I got the Caesar salad and my partner ordered the actual fish sandwich... everything else is entirely vegetarian, I love that they have a very small meat section, everything else is meatless! Great vibes and friendly staff!

Station No.3 is a flexetarian (sp?) restaurant. The majority of the menu is vegan but they have like 3 or 4 meat options and real cheese is offered upon request. I've been able to use this as a ploy to get family and friends to dine out with me when they'd typically turn me down for an all vegan spot. I've been here a few times now and still haven't gotten to everything I want to try on the menu. My favorite items are: BRUSSELS SPROUTS- fried and perfectly seasoned and tossed in a sweet vinaigrette. I omit the tomatoes and Asiago cheese (although it's vegan, I've never eaten any sort of cheese, vegan or not). Delicious! BURNT ENDS - yummy lil BBQ bites. Even the meat eaters loved these. POPCORN CHICKEN/ PICKLE FRIES - two equally delicious appetizers or sides, however you wanna eat them. I don't like ranch so I get these with their house pub sauce and horseradish aioli (all vegan and delicious) 1/4 LB STATION BURGER - this burger was very good. I'd order it again. They have several dessert options, but I usually go with soft serve every time. I need to branch out and try their other sweets. And I still need to try their chicken sandwich, about which I've heard amazing things! They also have specials and holiday dinner meals. Alcohol is served here. During the nice weather months their patio is large and inviting. They've even had a live band and BBQ picnic plates during their anniversary celebration. Follow their social media to keep up with news.

Station 3 has a fantastic patio and their vegan Burnt Ends are to die for (even meat eaters love them) but my experiences here have been so up and down. Some servers are very attentive, others seem to prefer you weren't there. Some dishes are delicious - like the tacos and burnt ends - and others are nearly inedible (the popcorn chicken and chicken sandwich). I'll be back for drinks and apps but that's it.

A flavorful vegan spot in a modern environment! This is a quiet vegan spot in Soulard that should've been more busy than we thought it would be. We got the Burnt Ends appetizer, Crispy Chickn Sandwich, and Brisket Sandwich. The Burnt Ends were the highlight of our meal and was very close to the texture of real meat! The Brisket Sandwich uses the same seitan protein as the Burnt Ends and uses the same sweet BBQ sauce as well. In our option the BBQ was a little too sweet for our liking but definitely still a smooth and flavorful sauce that complements the protein well. The Chickn sandwich was unfortunately a bit dry, probably secondary to the thickness of the patty itself. It's a very thick patty and while in the middle was juicy, the sides were less so. There is a crispy exterior that contrasts the textures nicely and gives a good bite to the sandwich. The Brisket Sandwich was the better of the two in our option. The Buffalo sauce was very okay, and we've definitely had better. It was very vinegar heavy, almost like a watered (or vinegar-ed) down Red Hot. The service was awesome and the staff is very nice, knowledge, and accommodating to our requests. The ambiance was open and more relaxed. It feels geared towards a chill lunch or happy hour with coworkers rather than a true date spot. They can be accommodating for large parties as well. They do have an open patio (where we sat) that faces into the streets of Soulard. Rating: 3.5/5, definitely a flavorful meal with some shortcomings. We'd definitely visit again if bringing vegan/vegetarian friends to town as they have a substantial menu that can cater to very different interests. Rounded up to 4/5 for friendly staff and great service. Awesome tasting proteins that mimic real meat better than other vegan restaurants, but weren't huge fans of some of the sauces. Still at least worth a try to experience great vegan proteins!

I hate leaving less than 5 stars, but I'm not a vegan, and I just couldn't do the food despite trying. So this review will be more helpful to non vegans. The menu can be confusing; it lists things like beef tacos, burnt ends, chicken, and other foods that would not be vegan in regular circumstances. Nowhere does it say it's not real beef or real meat, but I'm sure people in the know, know (I.e., vegans). I know, I shouldn't go to a vegan place and expect real sour cream, but the vegan stuff was just weird to me. They do have the flex menu that includes 3 non vegan options such as turkey and fish. The craft cocktails are quite good, and I would go back for a drink, just not the food. The staff are outstanding- very friendly and attentive. You can tell the owners and staff out a lot of effort into the place, and it's worth checking out for the drinks, if nothing else.

What an AWESOME place! Small, but cute... The service was EXCELLENT! The cocktails are DELICIOUS and the food is GREAT. My pictures show everything that I ordered and it was ALL SO GOOD! But the best of the best? My friend ordered Burnt Ends and let me snatch a couple. THOSE were absolutely STUPENDOUS. They nailed the flavor AND the texture so well. Would LOVE to come back to this place!

Newly redone/bought over, this is a vegan restaurant located in an old fire station! They have outdoor seating and indoor seating and it is all very casual. Pricing is extremely reasonable and service is quick. Great options for vegan food, this menu is very big!

Stopped in for a solo weeknight dinner and was super impressed with the food. I ordered the chick'n sandwich at the recommendation of my server and it was delicious. Super thick and meaty in a way that a lot of vegan sandwiches aren't. I got a side of cheese fries to try out their queso which was great too. To drink, I ordered a glass of wine that was supposed to be on special that night but I realized after I got home and looked at my emailed receipt that I was charged full price. When I went to close out, the machine was given to me already at the tipping screen so I didn't see the itemized details. Not a huge deal, but I'll definitely check next time.

Not only were we not granted an exception on the checks as consolation for not being able to order french fries, there was no indication that this had even occurred to our server. This is precisely the level of temerity we need to inculcate in young women in our society, and I'd encourage her to apply for a job at the women's-only sports bar a few doors down if and when it ever opens. It'd be tragic if she wasn't there if and when I return, but I'd appreciate the fact that she has a greater mission. Hopefully, the deep fryer is working. It being out of commission naturally limited the number of things on the menu we could order. We were only told that we couldn't order anything that required a deep fryer, not given a modified menu or anything. I started going through each item and imagining how it might be prepared, but I couldn't muster the psychological bandwidth to continue. Hit my Cash App if you appreciate the amount of unpaid emotional labor I was compelled to contribute. It occurred to me that I might just get a burger and a side salad, but then I saw that they carry a club sandwich. I love a good club sandwich, and I figured it might make for a light, refreshing alternative, given the weather. There's an option to get a cup of soup for $1.50 extra as a side with your sandwich (no, they didn't offer to eat the charge), and I figured that might go well with my sandwich. I was kicking myself when they brought out someone else's order with the side salad. It looked really good. The Frisco Burger, or whatever they're calling it, looked good too. Meanwhile, the BBQ Beef & Cheddar Soup--the soup du jour (that's French), according to Flo--looked gross, like something your dog might cough up. But damn it was good! It was more beef than anything else. A large bowl of it might actually be too much food. (I'd still eat it, natch.) The overall flavor profile was along the lines of a good french onion soup. It was a reminder that I need to be ordering soup in restaurants more often. I wish the club sandwich was cut into little triangles and fanned out on the plate in some elaborate configuration, like at a place where rich old ladies have lunch, but I guess that wouldn't have been in keeping with the theme. Instead, it was served on the world's thickest Texas toast, with the world's dullest steak knife protruding from its center. This sounds like hyperbole, but I may have honestly been served the equivalent of half a loaf of bread. It was much more bread than I required, but at least it was fresh and delicious, as were all the other ingredients. Turkey used for sandwiches is almost never remarkable, but this was surprisingly great, as good as anything you'd get served as an entree unto itself. Nothing about this place suggests that it would have such good food, but it just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover. The decor, the overall vibe and the lack of hospitality might not be for everyone, but don't let that deter you.

I met here with members of a local running group for one of their periodic pub runs. It was extremely cold when I got there, despite having been nearly 90 degrees out the day before. Several members of our group stood in the doorway, preventing other patrons from entering and exiting. Modern's staff deserves credit for not complaining or forcing them to leave. They may have sensed that this wasn't the local unhoused population. Only employed people run recreationally, despite having relatively little free time. I see this place all the time, from my car on the adjacent highway, on my way back to civilization, but I'd never had the occasion to stop by. Perhaps I'd be a regular if I attended the nearby community college. But if I could afford to eat here, why would I be attending community college? The beer will set you back. I would have been fine with a 32 oz can of Miller High Life, but when in Rome. There's an extensive selection of beers on tap, and probably even more in cans and bottles. I'm no connoisseur, and I don't have that kind of time, so I went with something called Silent Gs, or something to that effect. I justified it, in part, by telling myself that its name is a reference to the Lil Wayne bar adored by people who started listening to rap music in 2003. I paid $7.50-ish for a not particularly large serving, but damn it if it wasn't pretty good. I appreciate it anytime one of these higher gravity pale ales doesn't taste like it was sourced from a trough-style urinal at a circa '83 ballpark. A couple of girls from the aforementioned run group mentioned that this place carries a brussels spouts salad. I don't eat salad, because I'm a guy, but these girls are certified baddies, and I succumbed to the peer pressure. I attempted to mitigate the impact on my reputation by also ordering a slice of pepperoni pizza. I'm gonna have to have a difficult meeting with my accountant, as a result, but it was worth it. The entree serving of the salad would have been enough food, even without the pizza. It's enough vegetables that it's actually kinda obnoxious, like they're trolling you. Who do they think I am, a damn cow? Part of that may have been the brussels sprouts. They help give the salad a surprising heft, for something that doesn't have any meat in it, and help make up for the lack of bacon, which I generally require with brussels sprouts. The candied walnuts, which I thought might be croutons, were another delightful surprise and complemented the tang of the pickled red onions. The pizza came topped with an oddly precise-looking quantity and arrangement of pepperonis, like they might have Russell Crowe from the movie A Beautiful Mind working in the kitchen. It's not like at Domino's, where they just toss them on there and they might not even be on half the pizza. I guess they have to do that when they sell it by the slice. You'd be upset if you didn't get enough of them, because they're delicious. They're the kind that curl up into little cups filled with disgustingly unhealthy and yet delicious oil. I wonder if that's also because they serve it by the slice and hence have to reheat it. That may have resulted in the end of the crust suffering from a bit of Popeyes biscuit-like dryness, but what are you going to do. Then again, that may have been a purposeful attempt to get you to purchase more expensive beer. Everything else here was so well executed, it's hard to imagine this wasn't intentional on their part.

We arrived right on time for our reservation, stood for quite a few minutes in a half-empty house before being seated, then waited a very long time between visits from our apparently over-stretched waitstaff. The first cocktail I chose wasn't available; nor was the first entree. I settled on the "red wine flight", and it arrived in three glasses. The server recited their names, but I didn't catch them. Food was middle of the road. A smoked sirloin sandwich was tasty, though rather well-done. And the order of "salmon cakes", which the menu says is made of "smoked salmon, roast corn, tomato, cucumber, creme fraiche, and capers" was in fact just one cake (not cakes!), smaller than a hockey puck (about 1/2" thick max) and seemed to be made of canned fish, not the bright orange of smoked salmon. It was accompanied by five thin slices of cucumber and three or four halved grape tomatoes. No corn, no capers. It was so boring, and an overpriced disappointment at $23. If this Bridge is actually closing and focusing on the event space, they've gone out with a whimper. And if they're actually continuing service, I hope they get the food a little closer to the menu descriptions. Our drinks and water glasses were empty for long stretches. The food- 3 of 4 of us said it was just ok. The other really liked theirs. We had 2 different pastas & 2 different sandwiches. Calabrian carbonara & citrus fettuccine. They were both kinda bland & not much flavor. Large portions. Wagyu reuben & smoked french. The reuben was a hit. The smoked french was too smoky. We had the pumpkin ricotta appetizer. It was pretty tasty. And the caesar was a large portion & decent flavor.
