When I came, there was a line outside of the store but it moves relatively quick. I got the matcha and vanilla swirl which was nice to have a blend of flavors. Their ice cream is not very sweet so it wasn't too overwhelming to finish the whole thing. read more

SomiSomi surrounded by many restaurants and desert places that excellent choice for hot and spicy food afterwards. Really spacious and clean, however, there's no seating at the time that we were there. I forgot what was the order name but it's delicious. Service was super fast especially considering how packed it was the night we went. We felt so bad for the two gals working there as it was 30 minutes until closing and the line was out the door. The two taiyakis were delicious and piping hot. Perfect for a cold night. I would recommended the chocolate filling, not custard as I couldn't really taste it. read more

Somi somi was great soft serve. Super cute and loved the toppings. No indoor seating but you can stand at the bar and eat. You order on an iPad when you walk in and no sampling. The people were super nice asking about toppings. Just wish there were more flavors at this location. read more

Grabbed lunch next door at Pho Tai and was recommended to try SomiSomi for dessert... was not disappointed! I tried their Milk and Ube upside down ahboong with custard filling and my fiancé had Cookies N Cream upside down ahboong with Nutella filling. Went to Bellevue SomiSomi on Saturday night. The taiyaki machine was broken so did not get to try them. Had the ube and macha soft serve. They were ok. The thing I noticed the most was how dirty the store was. The bar in the eating area was sticky. There was garbage and old sticky soft serve on the floor. Behind the counter was dirty as well. They weren't even busy but there was overflowing garbage cans and dirty counters. Sounded like there were two more employees in the back just f-ing around. If the employees or owners don't care that much about maintaining the store, then why should I spend my $$ there. read more

I recommend ordering taiyaki and soft serve separately and eat it together that way the taiyaki doesn't get soggy and you get to choose a filling for the taiyaki. We choose a custard filling because it goes well with every soft serve flavor. read more

Went to SomiSomi for some dessert after dinner and was so happy with my decision to go. I ordered the upside down option with sesame soft serve, matcha powder, and taro taiyaki, which I loved. My partner ordered 3 taiyaki - red bean, cookies and cream, and matcha - all of which were also delicious. I really like the fact that they say which items contain lactose, but beware that even though they don't have lactose, there is still dairy. The only thing I would change is for them to have a location in Seattle! read more

Went on a Monday night just 30 minutes before they were closing. Tucked away in a plaza right off of Bel-Red is a cute dessert shop. We walked in being the last customers but they definitely treated us as if we were their first customers of the day, very patient & helpful with answering any questions we had. There are 3 categories that sums up their menu. Taiyaki which you can get in groups of 2 or a 5 count. SomiSips which were unfortunately sold out. And last, their Soft Serve. We ordered 2 Taiyaki in custard & mint Oreo and an Upside Down Ahboong with matcha as the soft serve flavor & nutella as the Taiyaki filling. They have a bunch of fun toppings to add onto your soft serve as well. Definitely enjoyed the items, the cold Soft Serve paired so perfect with the warm Taiyakis. Although I had pictured the mint Oreo to be a filling, it was just the cookie inside the waffle. Still delicious, custard Taiyaki was definitely the highlight! Staff were kind & sweet. Overall, this cute shop is definitely a place you must try if in the area! read more

One thing I didn't like was the ordering. You order through iPad and gratuity is automatically included. You cannot decline it. Walking in, we were not greeted at all. Ordering, only one iPad so with even 2 people ahead of us, it took more then a few minutes. Ice cream is creamy, very nice texture. One of my favorites. Toppings are free as well. Size wise, great for the price and creative flavors. Will probably not come back to this location specifically. read more

Wow the lady and guy working the front today at 3pm on 6/16/2024 was extremely rude. Looking and asking around, other people all agreed it was bad. She cut me off as I was trying to order and then screamed "next" as I was saying thank you. He gave me attitude when I asked to repeat the toppings. I'm so glad that there's a location here now! After going to locations in southern California and Phoenix, I was excited to see a location in Bellevue. This location is still new, so there isn't any furniture to sit and enjoy your dessert inside, so everyone ends up standing along the wall. I wish the taiyaki were made fresh to order, as I'd seen at the other locations. The taiyaki I got with my upside down ahboong was cold and starting to get soggy. read more

On Monday, May 27th, my friends and I visited this location around 4 PM and found a single woman working behind the counter, handling a long line of customers. Unfortunately, many of the ice cream flavors on the menu were unavailable because she couldn't keep up with the preparation due to the high demand and lack of staff. At around 4:30 PM, she put up a sign indicating she couldn't take orders until 6 PM to give her time to restock all the ice cream flavors fully. During this time, another woman and her family entered the store. When the employee informed them she wasn't taking orders, the customer became upset and demanded the manager's contact information to file a complaint. It was disheartening to witness this situation, as the employee was doing her best to manage orders with limited resources. read more

Amazing! The ice cream is so good and the fish cones are made fresh. You get to order on a kiosk and we got our ice cream almost immediately after we ordered. The ambiance was clean and welcoming. Somi somi is a really different kind of soft serve then you might expect. It has a thick consistency so thick that if you flip it up-side down it would stay normal. The options are kind of limited but I would recommend milk flavored. But depending on the time of day, it could be really crowded. Later in the night say 7 ish it could be really crowded but if you go earlier then it will probably be less crowded. read more

Soft serve + taiyaki!! Yes please! This shop in South Center Mall has matcha, milk, Ube, guava, Thai tea, and cookies and cream soft serve! You can also choose one of three swirl options on the menu. The taiyaki was so yummy and you can fill them with several different options. When your order is ready they also ask what toppings you want. Note: I have a tree nut allergy and the staff were so kind to acknowledge my allergy, and all changed their gloves while handling my soft serve @mojojojo_eatss to see video ! read more

The soft serve was great. I like their rotating swirl options. I had the matcha and black sesame flavor last time and was happy that it wasn't too sweet, but honestly didn't get much of a sesame flavor. Previously I've had their cookies and cream and matcha flavor. The staff were polite and efficient. They acted calm while the place was packed with people. Their tablet that they had you order on was a bit laggy and not the greatest experience, but wasn't the biggest deal. There's no searing, so we honestly just ate it outside where it was less crowded and quieter. read more

Both have its discernable flavor in a good way. I highly recommend both flavors, which I suspect are rotating flavors. Service was friendly. I honestly think they have excellent gelato; by itself, it would have been five stars. I also honestly think their prices are hella expensive. $7.95 for one scoop. $8.95 for the two scoops stack on top of each other in the same small cup. Downtown Seattle gelato shop charges $5.95 and $7.95 respectively. They need to lower their prices.

The green tea flavor was strong with bright notes of strawberry. The Scout Mint Brownie is probably my favorite rendition of a mint chocolate chip. The mint was fresh and bright with no green artificial coloring in sight. It came with generously sized chunks of brownies incorporated throughout. So good! The texture of Molly Moon's is stretchy and chewy which I appreciate. Our new go-to ice cream spot!

The ice cream is always delicious, but the staff here don't seem very well trained. Visit 1: We saw our server scoop the wrong flavor into our cup, realize that she scooped the wrong flavor, scoop that ice cream back into the source container, then scoop the correct flavor into the same cup (instead of discarding the old cup). I get that it's ice cream, but I feel that if the wrong ice cream flavor touches your cup, you should get a new cup in case you have a strong dislike of the incorrect flavor. Visit 2: We got our ice cream and were eating it while walking away, when we encountered a mint flavor inside our ice cream. The only problem: the flavor that we ordered had no mint. This makes me suspect that the staff are not doing a good job cleaning out the scooping tools in between flavors. Visit 3: After I paid for my ice cream, I wanted my receipt. However, when the tablet showed the receipt options, the server immediately pressed the no receipt option. After I told him that I wanted my receipt, he said that particular tablet cannot pull up old receipts, and I would have to wait until another tablet opened up. I ended up waiting 10-15 minutes just to get my receipt, and in the end, the manager came over and was able to send me a email copy of the receipt from the original tablet, which I was fine with from the start. This particular visit was a very frustrating experience - I should not have to wait that long just to get my receipt, all because the server incorrectly assumed that I did not need mine. The staff members should also be trained to retrieve and send receipts if the customers ask for them. Visit 4: Thankfully, this was a pleasant time. We came with our voting stickers, and received free scoops of ice cream. Pretty cool program that Molly Moon's has. Visit 5: The most recent time, I came in to buy a pint. I really like the system that Salt & Straw has where the pint fridge is next to the cashier, and if you get a pint, you don't have to wait in line. I got confirmation from the staff at Molly Moon's that they have a similar policy, but I first had to wait in line to get to the pint fridge, since the pint fridge is in the inner corner of the store, right next to where the line snakes around. Then, once I got my pint, I went up to the cashier, but they don't have anyone stationed there, so I had to wait for the staff members to finish helping their current customers. This ended up taking me 3-5 minutes of standing around with the melting pint. This store should have a better system for people who are just purchasing pints, such as relocating the pint fridge or stationing someone at the cashier. Overall, I've been disappointed by this location too many times now, and I hope that they improve the way they run the store.

Not to mention that I also wanted to do a direct comparison between the Premium Jasmine here and at UG tea. The result? Molly comes out on top by a large margin, although UG is much cheaper. Molly gives a smaller portion size (16oz vs large 22oz) and yet costs more then UG. Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($7.98) - The milk tea is thick, luscious almost like cream with fragrant, rounded flowery notes. The jasmine flavor is deep, filling the olfactory glands and taste buds with a rich fragrance, which finishes into a nutty and earthy barley-like essence. In comparison, UG Tea offers a thinner drink that offers a good but flatter jasmine flavor, then laces it with a somewhat overbrewed tannic tea quality. Still good in comparison with most boba shops, but noticeably worse than Molly. Unfortunately the boba isn't great - I can see why they didn't have it as an option before. While very sweet and minerally from the brown sugar soak, the texture is a too soft. Decent bounce, but the boba compresses too easily on the tongue. The pearls are also not uniform spheres, instead having rough crags all along the exterior. Milk Tea Rating: 5/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 I'm still leaving Molly as a 5*, but if this had been my first experience I probably would have set it as 4* given the subpar boba quality. They still have top tier milk tea though! One last thing - this place is still really busy. I expected things to die down since it's been open for a year now. Nope, on my Sunday afternoon visit, it still took over 20 minutes between the line and waiting for my drink.

I'm hoping to come back to try the kaya toast and ube hot chocolate. We got their unagi donburi, which consists of a ton of broiled freshwater eel with an umami seasoning and tender juiciness, all on top of a huge bed of rice and with some radish. One of my friends instead got their una-gyu donburi which is a mix of unagi and sukiyaki beef, though that means we all got their unagi. Eel wasn't too salty, and scales are very fine and small that you can just eat it as is. This was a warming, hearty meal that sat very well with me and my friends. For this location and the one in Georgetown, I am most certainly coming back for some more!

One small thing I don't understand is why they switched serving their 8 oz lattes from ceramic mugs to glass without handles. The glasses get very hot, making them a bit uncomfortable to hold and enjoy. I personally preferred the mugs.

The girl was confused and when I told her that I was missing the cheesecake, she said she'll go pack it immediately for me...only for her to pass that task down to someone else and they were packing mines along with someone else who just placed an order for some of the pastries, so it took even longer to get my order. The drink overall is a 3/10. It needs more durian as all I can mostly taste is just the mango. There was also jelly in there but couldn't quite figure out what the jelly tastes like and there was no description for what the toppings are in the drink. The black sesame basque cheesecake was really rich in the black sesame flavor which I love! But I would not wait 20mins for a slice of cheesecake again smh. Due to the poor customer service and a lack of a good system, I will not be coming back again or at least anytime soon.

Somi Somi - Soft Serve & Taiyaki Food: I've been a fan of Somi Somi for a while, but lately the quality feels like it's gone downhill. The ube soft serve used to be vibrant, rich, and distinctly purple in both flavor and color. Now, it tastes more like diluted vanilla with just a faint hint of ube and a very light purple hue--far from what it used to be. I was especially disappointed since the ube + matcha swirl was one of my favorites, but it's no longer offered. On top of that, toppings like sprinkles have noticeably been reduced, which makes the treat feel less generous for the price. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is okay, but there are some drawbacks. There isn't any indoor seating available, and there's no AC, which makes it less comfortable to enjoy your ice cream on warmer days. Service: Service was fine, but nothing stood out. Given the price point, I feel the overall experience (service, comfort, and quality) should be a bit better. Overall Experience: While I still enjoy the idea of Somi Somi and their taiyaki soft serve concept, the dilution of flavors (especially ube) and reduction in toppings have been disappointing. I recently visited Somisomi and tried their ube soft serve with cookie crumble. The ube flavor was delicious - rich, creamy, and well balanced. The cookie crumble added a nice textural contrast. It also came with a mini macaron, which was visually appealing but tasted too much like toothpaste, unfortunately. I also tried their matcha soft serve, which was pleasantly creamy without being too sweet. The matcha flavor was authentic, earthy and not overpowering. Overall I enjoyed the unique soft serve flavors and would go back to try others. The food and service were good, but the menu is still fairly small. I'm giving it 4 stars for tasty, innovative ice cream in a cute hip cafe. Still, it's a nice spot for a cool treat! read more

I don't review often and usually it's good reviews. But I've never had such a bad customer service experience. Especially for something as simple as getting ice cream. Nadia had the worst attitude when taking our order. Super impatient and rude to my 10 year old daughter who was already nervous about ordering. We've been here before and had plenty of good experiences but I've never met someone before who looked she so clearly hated her job and reflected that onto her customers. We'll still come back but that was really a very unpleasant experience. read more

Ordered an upside down ahboong with matcha and cookies and cream soft serve and custard filling. I ended up adding oreo crumbs, fruity pebbles, and a couple of other things. I shared it with two other friends and they said there was just too many flavors at once. I thought it was fine. I like the customizable part of it. If anything, I just wish there were chairs or somewhere to sit instead of just the standing. read more
