I eat here at least weekly. Love all of the curries and the mama noodle dishes, soup is awesome too. They are a little spotty on following their hours of operation but because I know this I always have a backup in mind just in case they are closed. Never had a problem with the food or service. Food here is decent but the place is incredibly dirty. When sitting at a table, don't look at the walls or anything hanging overhead. Walls covered with spilled good and particles. Overhead things look like they have never been cleaned and stuff may fall onto the table and food. read more

I went in recently and contemplated not leaving a review but the more I think about it the more i am compelled to share my experience. I was craving Pad Thai and the closest place to me was Somsiri so I called in an order for chicken and shrimp Pad Thai. I arrived and outside it looked vary quaint, I was surprised when I walked in amd saw a unkempt and almost pack rattish style restaurant...my order was not ready so I had to endure sitting at what was a greasy table and although the customer service was very nice the level of dirt, darkeness and offputting smell left me wanting to run fornthe hills. As soon as I paid I made a beeline for the door and when i opened my lunch i and tasted it i wish I would have listened to my gut and left. Unfortunately the food had a sweet taste almost ketchupy, and food was overly greasy and just not to the standard that I expect of Thai food. We found this 4 star restaurant during our road trip. Sorry, this is not 4 star restaurant. First of all, the menu cover made from old record covers are very creative but they must be full of germs. I was there to eat not buy antiques! The food wasn't good either. We love Thai food so we know this is not up to the normal standard at all. The restaurant looks very old, disorganized and dirty. We had a craving for Pho today and decided to try this place. When we arrived the place was closed, but a sign on the door said they would return at 4:30. We came back at 4:38 and the sign was down, but the door was still locked. We had to knock to get someone to open the door. It was very much worth the wait. I ordered Pho and my roommate had Yum Yum soup. We both choose chicken as our meat. Both dishes arrived well heated and had fantastic flavors. This is one of the best meals I have had in this area. The service was good, and the atmosphere was traditional. One word of advice, they give you a choice of spice level from 0-5. We both order 1 and found it to be spiced just right. Most delicious Thai place I've tried even after living in Seattle for a couple years. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Chehalis.

Well I have been to Thailand 3 times and eaten Thai food in many places so I feel I do have a concept of what it should be like. This place is inconsistent. Sometimes quite good and then you will have a bad meal that will put you off going for a long time. The only reason you will go back is because there is not much else in the area. The staff lady is cold and abrupt no matter how much you try to warm up to her. Helpings are small. It won't be the worst Thai food you have had but it won't be the best either. read more

I have lived in Thailand and eaten at many Thai restaurants outside of Thailand over the years. I can say that Somsiri Thai deserves a spot on my Top 25 Thai Restaurants that I've EVER been to. The quality and authenticity of the food is beyond reproach. And the service is the typical Thai graciousness. I drive down from Olympia just to grub out at this spot. Some of the best Thai food I have ever had. I come for the summer rolls and curries, but I've tried quite a few of their dishes and have never been disappointed. Wish I could give this place 5 stars, but they are closed seemingly any time I've got a hankering. Also, at times they don't have any Thai beer in the cooler. The food is good. But during my birthday i had there with my family. We ordered soup and there was a plastic lid that was melted and bent up in the soup. They said they would bring us another thing of soup but never did. I have eaten there a few times afterward and accidents do happen. But that is a big accident. read more

Outstanding and friendly! We got take out from here last week after wanting to try this place since we moved here almost 4 years ago. We love Thai food so we were a little nervous just in case it was just over hyped. We were not let down. The prices are a little higher than the menus we found online but still reasonable. The spice level was just right. The portions, well one entree was enough for too good sized meals. We got the broccoli broc broc and of course chicken pad thai. Fresh veggies, plenty of meat, good balance of ingredients. Highly recommend. If you are worried about bugs, get take out like we did. It's about the food anyway. The setting itself isn't all that great, but the food and staff are the best!! I haven't tried much of the menu however the few things I have had are so good I can't stop ordering them! I love the emerald curry, spring rolls and the tom kah soup. The spice is pretty authentic so go easy your first try. read more

My wife and I just had dinner at Somsiri Thai I'm giving it 4 stars. I had the Pad Thai and my wife had a ginger chicken saute plate. Both were excellent. Reasonably portioned and reasonably priced. It even inspired me to write my first restaurant review on here. On a busy night you might have to wait a bit but It is definitely worth a visit. The service was kind and gracious. We have enjoyed many delicious meals here, and for some time this was our absolute favorite place to eat. Angel Eggplant dish is amazing! Staff is very nice, warm atmosphere. However, the last time we dined here our meal was ended quickly when a cockroach climbed up the back of my chair, across table to dividing wall. I went for lunch yesterday and had the Won Ton Noodle Soup. My guest had a beef dish with wide rice noodles and fresh vegetables. Both dishes were fantastic. The noodles were both firm yet delicate and all the flavors were great. In spite of the wobbly table which was a little annoying and distracting I am looking forward to returning to try more of the items on the very extensive menu. read more

I love Thai food & I actually lived in Thailand two years and this place is mediocre. The noodles were so over cooked they disintegrated in the dish. The chucks were so big it was hard to eat without a knife. The place is dirty - my feet stuck to the floor. Service was slow & tables that had dirty dishes on them when we arrived still had the dirty dishes on them when we left. Not stopping here again. read more

A pretty decent Thai restaurant and the best in the area by far. Nice service and good food. They offer gluten-free options as well as brown rice and the veggies seem to be pretty fresh, too. The spice level is very high so if you like mild you might want to stick with 0. Also, I've heard and experienced that their hours are a little inconsistent so be sure to call first. I recently went with a large group (15) and they were very accommodating. They have private rooms for up to 10 or 12 people. read more

Good food yelp brought us here and we were not disappointed! Very friendly welcoming staff good clean food it was a little spicier than I'm used for Thai food but this was my first time here. They have vintage record covers for there menus and had super cute kids cups for my girls and they loved the added attention to detail as did we! This food is soooo amazing! It's close to my work so I went there at lunch and found myself thinking about it all weekend. Now I'm going back again. The service is very friendly, but there's only one waitress and one cook. I suggest you call in your order to avoid waiting too long. They never dissapoint, the pad se ew is wonderful as well as the golden noodle! Order 4 or 5 stars for some real heat!

They get one star from me. Business is advertised to be open on their window and on Yelp. This was to be my first visit and I was was meet with closed doors.
