Yummy and I love the vintage album covers on the menus. A bit of an adventure to find the restroom, but the food was great. Staff was busy and as is typical for Thai places, apparently, gave poor service. We had to go up twice to ask for things but the food was delish and fast, even if they didn't believe we wanted 4-star heat and made it a bit too wimpy for us. I am somewhat of a Thai snob. I always get laab and sticky rice (which they do not have, major bummer). Their Laab had a very grainy texture which was off putting. I'm guessing mass amounts of rice powder. The taste was decent but definitely not great, I wouldn't order it again. I got the pad ke Mao for my kiddo and it was delicious. Our favorite restaurant by far! The food is totally excellent -- warning, although we like it jalapeno hot, the 3 is plenty for us, so be careful of the heat. You may want to start low and move up. The ambience is perfect for casual dining and the prices are average. Love the menus, which are enclosed in old stereo album covers. Some have the words to the music, wonderful nostalgia for lovers of vintage rock. Can't get past the Showing Rama myself anymore, and my husband is delighted with the seafood soup. Have eaten other things, and they were also fabulous. The service is friendly although somewhat slow but worth it because your food is made fresh after you order. read more

My favorite Thai place was Thai dish in Centralia. Was sad to see it had closed down when I came back to visit and I thought I would give this place a try. Overall I was pleased with my meal. The service was great, kind and fast. They give you a small chilled pitcher of water which is great! I normally order my spice at a 4 but since it was my first time here I went with a 3 and I am glad I did! I ordered spring rolls and pad Thai with tofu. My only disappointment was that the food was a little too greasy/oily and my tofu was over fried. Next time maybe I will have it steamed. Spring rolls and sauce were great! Love Somsiri! Unfortunately, you cannot count on them being open. My husband and I have drove there a number of times for dinner on a night where their listed hours state they're open.. While the food has been excellent every time that I have dined at this restaurant, the service has been hit-or-miss. While visiting on weekdays, while the restaurant is 1/2 full or less, the service has been exceptional. But apparently busier days it is a different matter entirely. On a recent visit on the weekend, the service was horrendous. We waited for over 30 minutes just to place our order, and waited another 30 minutes to receive our food. At no time during the hour and a half we were dining at Somsiri Thai did they ever refill our water glasses (long empty before the food came). One diner in our group requested a "zero" star spice to her dish, while the rest of us ordered 2-3 stars, and her dish was by far the spiciest dish of the group. Unfortunately, the dish was inedible to her palate. Final verdict, if the restaurant appears to be busy and you are running short on time... go someplace else. read more

Hands down the best Thai food we have had in the northwest. This family has invested their expertise and love into some of the most authentic Thai food we have tried. We live in Portland and between there and Seattle there are ALOT of "Thai restaurants". These people do it right. Fresh vegetables - the color, consistency and flavor which to us is a must do for Thai were perfect. The sauces were light yet flavorful. The quality of the proteins where you see shortcuts was nowhere to be found. Wish we had tried them months ago. And the prices. Wow. Definitely our new favorite place to go in the area! read more

Waited all week to eat dinner here on Saturday night. We arrived just as they were opening. Got progressively busier as time went on. Hubby and i split 2 orders of chicken satay, one order of the crab delight, and one order of the phad thai with shrimp. Ate it all and I would've gone back for seconds. If you love good Thai food, and don't care too much about atmosphere, this is the place for you! The food is great, portions are ample and the service is usually spot on. I especially love their Basil Basil stir fry, but everything I've tried here is great. Be careful with the spice meter....even though I like spicy, I find that a "2" is plenty spicy and a "3" can make you sweat! It is true that their hours can be odd. It's best to call ahead to make sure they're going to be open. read more

The food is amazing when they are open. You just never know when that may be. The very unfortunate part is that they have Roaches. We were eating dinner about a month ago and 3 little roaches were walking on the table. We decided to try again last friday and as we sat waiting to order, a very Large roach was walking up the wall stairing at us. This place is amazing! Their food is always delicious and their service is exquisite. The garlic fried rice with beef is a personal favorite and their spice ranges from 1-5. However, the hours are inconsistent. It states they are open 11:30-8 everyday Monday & Tuesday and that does not prove to be true. They are randomly closed. Absolutely love this place!! I used to only eat at Thai Tom's in Seattle because of their old generation style cooking. But this place is a hit!!! We LOVE their red curry with chicken. I add broccoli and carrots to it and it's the best!! Always fresh!! Actually has a grill in it unlike the devilfish next door (who has precooked hamburgers. Yuck). Consistently good, ingredients are always fresh and authentic. Most of the food that I've tried here leans towards the very spicy side, so I would recommend ordering a 0 if you don't like spicy food. My husband and I love the food at Somsiri! Golden Curry and Pad Thai are my staple favorites and they knock them out of the park. I really love the owners, really nice people! Not too expensive and you leave with a full stomach & usually left overs! Only problem is their inconsistency as to when they are open.. Their sign out front states they are closed Tuesdays, but they've randomly been closed other days without any explanation posted on the door... Customer Service is horrible. I have been there a few times to try different dishes, to see if I just ordered the wrong dish.... Tried the soups, Noodles, Rice, and curries. Nothing to write home about. They got 2 stars because the food was American Thai... Not bad but definately not Authentic. They have good dishes for Chehalis, because we are lacking good food in our town.
