We got delivery from this location. It was a Saturday night so it took a little longer which was to be expected. Easy to order on the app. Order came exactly how it was supposed to. Not a drive-in at all. This is a very small and old drive-thru. None of the current items are available here. Not very good service, slow lines, and not anywhere close to resembling the sonic experience in my opinion. read more

I purchased a sonic blast from New Milford where I work and noticed it was sour (spoiled milk) about 15 mins into my drive back to Danbury where I live. I said well no problem there is a sonic not even 5 mins from my house I will have them remake it. I walked in and let the young heavy set Indian kid know I purchased the drink 30 mins ago and wanted it remade because it tasted sour. He looked at me like I had 3 heads and asked me 20 questions. Finally he calls a manager who I retell my issue to. He angrily says I will remake it but it's going to taste the same because it's from the same machine. I said well no I purchased it in New Milford. The little heavy Indian kid says "wow you told me you bought it here" I said no I didn't why would I lie for a $6 drink that is clearly right here in front of us. The manager then raises his voice and says "I will remake it only because you are a guest but you BETTER not do this again" I took the drink and threw it in the garbage and walked out. That "manager" continued to yell towards me as I walked out. This is my 2nd poor experience with this "manager" I didn't get his name but he was probably in his 40's wearing a hat around 4:50-5:10 PM at the Danbury location. I've never had such poor customer service in 40 years of visiting establishments. Sonic should be ashamed to have someone like this representing them. Update: Spoke to Sonic customer service show seemed to take the issue serious. They said someone would reach out within 24-48 hours to discuss my concerns. 2 weeks later I have not heard from anyone. On a positive note the store manager from the New Milford location did seem to care and remade my drink. read more

My husband had a craving for a milkshake and was thinking about going to McDonald's but I had two thoughts: 1) Shakes at McDonald's aren't the milkiest*; 2) I recalled a Sonic had opened and they have really good shakes. So we drove into Danbury for milkshakes and snacks. I had some popcorn chicken and fries and the hubs had some chicken tenders. The food was good and freshly prepared. The milkshake was a winner. We ate inside and the place was neat and clean and staff was friendly and efficient. Overall, I think it's a good place for quality fast food. * here's the FAQ from McDonald's website about that: Our shakes contain milk from our reduced-fat soft serve, which makes them thick and creamy. Dairy regulations actually vary from state to state on what can officially be called a 'milkshake.' We like to keep it simple and refer to them strictly as 'shakes.' read more

Not as expected been to other sonics that were much better. Food not as good as the others I've been to

So I decided to try Sonic for lunch. I ordered a double cheeseburger, footling chili dog, and large fries. Service - was friendly and fast. 5 stars. The fact is the service here is above other similar fast food. Fries - soggy and unsalted for the most part. They also lucked taste. 1 star Chili dog - the dog was mushy and seemed uncooked. I only had two bites. Theirs should have been grilled. Not very good. 1 star Double cheese burger - tasted pretty good and was cooked properly. I ate the entire burger. This burger ranks above Burger King for me and I would try it again. The only issue was that it was a bit dry. 3.5 stars. Overall I was dissatisfied with the food and can only recommend if you are going to order a few burgers and a shake or drink. Avoid the fries and the hotdogs. I will likely be back in 8 months or so to see if they have improved. I can only give them an honest 2 stars right now. Really good service though! read more

I was overcharged for each drink I ordered. On the website they were listed as being 79 cents. I was charged 1.75. I complained to the server, Shohel, but he merely laughed and said he just presses buttons and doesn't set the prices. No apology was given, no refund was offered, no manager was called. I complained online. The person I spoke to, "Joseph", told me that the offer had expired. I told him this obviously wasn't the case as the price was still listed on the website and had been at the time of the order. He kept saying the same thing, despite me frequently sending him proof that the price was current on the website. He was rude and sarcastic. Overall, a ridiculous experience. I would like a manager to respond to this review and supply me with an email address so we can discuss this further. If I don't receive a reply to this with a contact email for the branch manager I will have my bank return the money that was taken. read more

For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why there were no Sonic locations in CT. Well, my prayers to the Fast Food God's has been answered. It seems only fair because we've seen numerous Sonic commercials. But they were only teasers because you'd have to drive out of state to find one. Well the wait is over! Sonic in Danbury is open and waiting for the WCSU students to return to school in a few weeks to discover a food sensation. (Life can be cruel; there was no Sonic across the street from the WCSU when I was a student there.) Great food! Great employees and completely reasonable prices.
