Horrible and getting worse every time I try to give them another chance. Was so excited to finally have a sonic coming to Milford. I have been to the Wallingford location numerous times and love the food. However, this Milford location has some serious issues with service. Long wait times, mediocre food. Last time we stopped here for a quick breakfast it took almost a half hour to get our food as it appeared there was only one person working. When we did finally receive our food, the coffee was ice cold and the french toast sticks were dripping in grease to the point where they were inedible. A real disappointment. I have tried this location a couple of times now, thinking maybe they just needed to get into the swing of things or what-have-you, but every time there has been issues. Seriously hope this location gets it's act together. read more

I recently went to this Sonic, having previous experienced great customer service at other locations I expected the same. The cashier Ray had a very bad attitude and she failed to know any knowledge of the items they're selling. Alongside her awful attitude, she processed our order incorrectly. While paying for the transaction she failed to do simplest things like smile or say have a nice day. This an awful depiction for customer service and this establishment needs to reevaluate who they hire. Overall this experience was awful and I will not return back to this sonic. read more

This place was absolutely disgusting! My mom and I went there for a quick dinner because we had an appointment in the area. We decided to dine -in because we didnt want to eat in the car. So we go inside and the floors were slippery, but not because they cleaned it was because of grease. We waited a couple minutes for a person to come to the register so we can order. We put in our order and my mom went to find a table. NOT ONE TABLE WAS CLEAN.. It was like they didnt even wipe them down ever. So we finally found a decent clean table and we got our food in about 10 mins. We got 3 packets of ketchup and some napkins . My mom needed a fork and knife so she went to the register. We were the only people in the dining area. She was standing at the register yelling in the back because nobody was coming out. She stood there for about 5-10 mins before someone actually came out and asked her what we needed. The girl comes back with more ketchup and a fork and said they didnt have any knives. My mom didnt care at that point. We went to leave and the floor was sticky by the entrance and exit and by bathrooms was extra slippery. It was one of the worst experiences we have ever had and we will never go back again. read more

Food sucks. It's soggy and tastes like it was made in a microwave. I ordered about 6 things and I only got 4 of them I had to drive back again to the drive thru to tell them they messed up my order! Then the manager has the nerve to ask for my bag and look in it. The staff are skating around the parking lot chasing each other. This place is a hot mess! Never coming back. I think "ugh!" is the word I would use to sum up my most recent visit to the Milford Sonic. I ordered a #8 (popcorn chicken, tater tots) with bbq sauce. I should have known my experience wouldn't be great when it appeared they had messed up the order of the car before me & it took in excess of 10 minutes for that car to finish at the window. When I got to the window, I handed over a $10 & asked the guy for ketchup. It took him a few minutes to return with my change, and no ketchup. I almost said forget it, but reminded him anyway & was very thankful when I got to my hotel & realized that not only did my bag not have the bbq sauce I ordered (which is on my receipt), but also no straw for my drink, & no napkins. Even by fast food standards, this is pretty humorous... He forgot three, almost four, items & the place was dead - I can only imagine the mistakes made when they're busy! read more

I was excited when I heard Sonic opened in Milford. I took mom for lunch. We drove in and we were directed to pull all the way around another building to the other side at the beginning of Lowes parking lot. It's 2 to 3 blocks away walk...to the actual restaurant. I don't mind walking but moms 77 and had quite a hard time getting there. We got there and went to walk in and a guy said we couldn't enter the building yet. Mom voiced her opinion on that....and the guy said....5 minutes. We waited and then I was told to go stand behind a girl with a cellphone.....THAT IS THE END OF THE LINE!!!!!!! I walked in and mom had sat down....and I said....do you want to stay here....and she said no!!!!!!!!! First of all.....this place is a FAST FOOD restaurant. We shouldn't have to be told where to park (2 or 4 blocks away), we shouldn't be told we can't enter the building.....or where we have to stand in line. TOTAL RIDICULOUSNESS!!!!!!!! Don't bother. I get that they are busy since the location just opened ... even 2:00 on a Monday. What I don't get is the spazzed out girl with the blaring walkie talkie giving me vague directions on where to park and wait for a spot to open. My coworkers and I drove over an hour to go get Sonic last night at the Milford, CT location. We entered stall #6 at almost exactly 10 PM and waited for some time without getting a response. We tried to flag a staff member but they were not paying attention. Then we tried stall #7 and had the same experience. I got the server's attention and explained that both of these stalls were not receiving a response and she replied: "Oh that one is broken." I suggested that they put a sign on the broken stalls. She did not apologize or appear concerned and turned her back on us to walk away. I was baffled. Next, we went to stall #8 and there was a windows computer error on the screen so we knew this one was broken too. At this point, we had been waiting for over 20 minutes to place our order. We had been watching cars come and go with food while we were sitting unacknowledged. Finally, we drove around the building to find the lobby which was closed and ended up in stall #12 where we received an immediate response. I placed my order and again tried to inform them of the broken stalls. No response. The staff member who came out was the same person who told us the stall was broken. She was unbelievably rude, jerking my card out of my hand and giving us complete silent service. She also intentionally did NOT provide us a receipt of the transaction. During our wait, we called the Sonic customer service number and the phone call suggested to press the red button and ask for a manager. We did this twice and we were never responded to again. Our total wait time for our food was over thirty two minutes. Afterward we went through the drive-through for a second order. Again, we received utter rude service by your staff with quick retorts of "we are out (reese's and watermelon)" snapping "what size?" and then silence at the window. Again, I had to ask for my receipt which she had to REPRINT. My second server was Shevene. Our first server who was the worst of the two is unknown because I never got my receipt. Decided to try Sonic again, but this was the last time! Pulled up to the stanchion and decided what we wanted to order, pressed the button and a young lady came on to take the order. Between each item we ordered the young lady asked us to hold on. No idea what she was doing or why she kept interrupting and putting us "on-hold". Finally, after about 8 minutes our order was finished. When it finally came out, the carhop came over and as usual, she began to read the order back to us using the receipt, however she was either unfamiliar with how to read the receipt or she was stoned and couldn't comprehend it, or she was lacking basic reading skills? Needless to say, it appears that the people who were preparing the food were unable to read as well because 3 items were not prepared as requested or as listed on the receipt. The car hop advised that there were "new people in the kitchen and they were always messing up"...... Umm then tell your boss, not your customers? Worst experience ever!!!!! Let's rewind to a week ago, we go in wait for 5 min then order I asked if they had toys because my son really wanted one and that was the only reason we decided to eat here. She said yes so we continued to order. Food came no toy we asked and they said we don't have toys shipment comes tomorrow. Okay yesterday we were celebrating for a holiday and took our son to Chuck E. Cheese and then he asked to go to sonic . As we walked in it was extremely hottt ,like immediately sweating!! Mind you it's the end of August and it's hot outside but in this sonic it was hotter inside. We asked if they had ac and they said yes that they would turn it on but never did. While waiting to order no one came to the front for 15min to take our order , so we went to the rest rooms to wash our hands and when returning to order a few min went by until someone yelled from the back customers are in the front. As we were ordering they were really rude! While other employees come in for their shift but run in the back grab food and eat .We started ordering and NO TOY again !!!! So disappointing but wait it gets better.. we asked for some ketchup nope we don't have any can we have some buffalo sauce nope we don't have any . My husbands burger was gross with old pickles and lettuce! Sons chicken was over cooked or old! I'm so disgusted and disappointed in this location. Something needs to be done to better the services! After a bad experience here in 2015, I gave them another chance because a friend who was in the hospital wanted a BBLT with no mayo. They drowned it in mayo. I waited about 20 minutes at the drive up from getting in line to getting the food. I started eating the fries in the car because I was starving after waiting so long but the were soggy and not very hot. The bacon burger did not seem fresh like before. Then a few hours later I realized I did not have my debit card. I tried to call them but the phone just rang and rang. I called back a few times. Then someone picked up.the phone and SLAMMED it right down. I called again and it was busy. I was about 20 miles away from Milford and did not want to drive back just to see if my card was there because no one could perform a task as simple as answering the telephone. I called again and a man answered and said my card was there. So between getting nasty and wrong food and no one answering the phone when my card was missing I am done permanently. I do not see what the appeal is of waiting 20 minutes for fast food that is made incorrectly and not very good. read more

Last week my daughter's and I went to Sonic to get milk shakes. We waited until after 8pm because we heard they were half price. Upon our ordering we found out they weren't half price which was ok because we wanted milk shakes. We ended up taking a menu for future reference when we went there. This tiny little menu said 1/2 price milk shakes after 8 pm. I thought the gentleman just wasn't aware of the discount. We went back this week to explain the situation. Luckily the pamphlet menu was still there on the counter. I explained it to the cashier - she went back to get a woman, I am assuming was the manager ( didn't get the name ). I explained.. showed her the pamphlet.. she said that expired the end of September. It did not state that. I advised her that she should probably remove the pamphlets then. She said she couldn't because the menu prices on the monitor are incorrect and these are the only correct prices. So of course, I had to comment... let me get this straight.. those prices up there nice and large are incorrect and the correct prices on this itsy bitsy menu which I can't even read with glasses are correct? BUT where it states it nice and large that milk shakes are 1/2 price after 8 pm is incorrect? She got very rude with me. I stopped her... and said ... so the milk shakes aren't 1/2 price? and left. My girls couldn't believe how rude she was and that I didn't say anything to her. I told them what purpose would that serve to be rude back? I just didn't nor will purchase anything there. We continued across the street to McDonalds to spend almost $20. Over $3 they have lost my business along with probably a lot of students/friends at my girls high school because of this very simple wrong way of handling the situation. The worst experience I have had in a long time. I pulled into the food hop and order my food. The girl taking orders confused my order about a dozen times. When the boy on the skates brought my food out it was all wrong and he forgot several things, the jalapenos on my 2 number 3's and my sons Oreo milkshake. I walked inside to let the front counter know and I was meet with teenagers cursing and carrying on. I explained to the boy that the car hop forgot the jalapenos and pickles on my sandwich. he proceeded to touch my sandwich with his bare hands to see if I was telling the truth. I said to him are you going to make new ones now that you have touched my food he said yes. I waited for over 10 minutes and by that time he had forgotten about my order. I complained to another server who looked high and her uniform was filthy with ice cream and other remissness on her clothing and she wasn't the only one all the servers looked gross and some were high. I final got my burger and it was cold. the patties were dry and the burger was sloppy. i'm not sure what was worse the food or the service I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS SONIC AGAIN UNTIL THEY HIRE STAFF THAT ARE SERIOUS ABOUT THEIR JOBS!!! This Sonic is excellent. The chicken sandwiches and fries are always fresh and hot. The staff is courteous and friendly as well. We come here frequently from Branford, worth the trip. You can dine inside or just stay in your car. When i was inside, the manager, Ryan assisted with the order, a nice personal touch that you rarely see anymore. I've been here maybe 3 or 4 times before, but for some reason never thought to review until now. The food was really good too and when i have been there i dont know about the offer Boneless Wings and getting another free, the lady said about this. This time, the lady that served me was very enthusiastic and courteous, recommending me flavors that weren't spicy Because I can't handle spicy, and giving extra blue cheese for me who ordered the pineapple habanero. I always tend to get Buffalo Wild Wings that was really good. I would still recommend here just for the food even though the service was slow. read more

I tried to ask one of the servers what was taking so long after we'd been waiting about 30 minutes and he said "we'll get to it eventually". Very disappointed. We don't come here often, but twice in a row we've waited for over 15 minutes for someone to take our order after pressing the call button in the stall. Both times we left. The first time we thought it was a fluke, but that's clearly not the case. We have had some good shakes here in the past, but not good enough to keep putting up with subpar service.
