This is the worst sonic in the entire world. Every time I've come here I just hope it's different but it's always inedible. This time really takes the cake because my burger is so over cooked and OLD that it's become beef jerky. Literally biting into the most cold hard meat. Burgers shouldn't be beef jerky. They must pre cook all the burgers and even reuse some from yesterday. I ordered shortly after 11. So this should be fresh. Instead it's just absofuckiutely disgusting. I've also been here for dinner and it was better than this was but still not good. The mozzarella sticks are usually undercooked and barely edible. Fries are hit and miss either kinda cold or somewhat fresh. Iced tea is usually good the first time I went was a little off but it's usually spot on. The cooks and management obviously here don't care. You can't grab this meat and slap it all together and know that it's good or that you're proud of your job. You know the meat is old. You know you're doing a horrible job. You know this is inedible and absolutely disgusting. There are a ton of other places to work that will pay the same or more. You really don't have to be a shit cook at Sonic and hate your life and serve the shittiest burgers because you refuse to care. Folks I do not know what is wrong with this particular Sonic but the attitudes are not there, they skimp on your food and in general they just do not seem to care. Footlong chili cheese coney had just a little chili sauce like they ran out, and onion rings the last 4 times over a period of 2 months that I went there, they said they were out when asked why they said the guy that makes them just wasn't there that day, 4 times...well you know who has onion rings, morning noon and night, Jack in the Box. Seems like even a blind pig finds an acorn every so often. For me, today was that day. I've been struggling with some serious family issues lately and just decided I wanted to eat my feelings a little. I walked over to my local Sonic for a small vanilla shake. The young man that served me was clearly a gentleman and a scholar and went out of his way to make my order more than memorable. He was a complete success. He must have seen the sadness in my soul or recognized that I've been starving on a cellular level because his service was more than generous. Unfortunately, I never have cash on hand so I couldn't tip- and I totally feel horrible. I figure the least I could do is write a lengthy review in the store's favor. The store was hella busy and the rest of the staff seemed tired and ready to leave- but this fella was bright, chipper and in an unusual way, gave me the feeling that things are gonna be alright in the end and that somehow, I deserve happiness. In short, that small vanilla milkshake of HOPE was transformative, refreshing and rejuvenating in every way. It was a supernatural shake of unequal proportions that, in my Life so far, has no equal. While this location was pretty busy the employee that helped me was knowledgeable and friendly (Daniel). He worked with me when I originally placed a stall order but then ended up in the drive through as I had multiple orders in one car. My family has always LOVED Sonic. We often go to get something. This time, we ordered food and sonic blasts for my family of 6. Roughly $50 and they charged us .40 cents for a very small glass of water they got out of a tap. I can kick out .40 cents... but seriously??? We are in the Arizona desert... 100+ degrees! Now I get charging if all I was getting was water... but come on! I have NEVER been to one single restaurant in the valley that has ever once charged me for water, especially when I was ordering food. THIS IS THE DESERT WHERE IT'S HOT... I would only recommend this place for their drinks and ice cream. Their burgers are thin and taste like cardboard and their hotdogs are just horrible. Their breakfast foods are not too bad and are average prices. On Saturday 2-18-23 at 5:56pm I ordered meals for my family to-go. Once at home, I discovered that two out of the four meals were missing. I called Store #5521 and spoke to the attendant which she acknowledged the mistake. I returned to the store to pick up the missing items but they discarded them so I waited for a new order. I asked to speak to a manager. However, she said Gilberto was not there and the person in charge was too busy to speak to me. While waiting for the new order, I called 1-866-OK-SONIC and filed a complaint. I was not expecting to make (2) twenty-two mile round trips for our dinner. No comp or refund was accepted by the staff. I have yet to receive a phone call or email from Sonic. We will not be back. read more

I like Sonic, however, I tried the Philly Cheesesteak and it was absolutely disgusting! First, it was on a hotdog bun. Secondly, there was a ton of mayonnaise on it. That is odd. This is the worst location I have ever been to. I've lived all over the valley and have visited at least 10 different locations including Payson. The heavier set young blonde woman that runs the PM shifts most days is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Firstly she just has a major attitude problem, and she treated as a DOORDASH driver like scum and purposely makes you wait 30+ minutes all while staring directly at you from inside and laughing with employees. The ordering and pick up process is perfect. Employees were very friendly . However, when I got home, I realized they forgot the two ranch packets I asked for, for our chicken finger meals. It's always something when we go there so we have stopped going there and actually make a drive to Gilbert to a sonic that actually carries everything and surprisingly still have the watermelon slush, asking them if it was ever discontinued they said no, so now we know that they are just lazy to make it there since most of them are high school kids that work there. OMG. The kid came out not to help me, no... That would be asking too much. She came out to ask if I was waiting for some guy, that I suppose is waiting for his ride. That was the first red flag. With that social, pure, weirdness... I didn't want to really hang out in the stall, so I push the button and told him I was going to go through the drive-through. They wanted to lecture me about that, more than once. Actually three times. That was putting me off quite a bit, so that was red flag number two, having some teenager lecturing a senior citizen. What could be wrong in this picture? I get my grilled chicken sandwich meal, and drive through the drive-through, park and take a bite. OMG. Can you spell shoe leather with cold tots? They are already run out of hotdogs and the small coneys and the large companies and some ice cream and medium cups, which tells me Management is not managing. But the worst part of the evening was when I took a bite of the chicken sandwich, I got tough, barely chewable, Luke warm chicken, tasting of chemical grill flavoring. It was disgusting. And that chemical grill flavor, We're still lingering in my mouth as I eat another meal from another establishment. This place is disgusting. Try getting a refund from them... If I could give a minus star, I would!! We came down to the Sonic on Hunt Hy. Arrived at 7:30 pm. Ordered 4 hot dogs, one large fry and an order of cheese sticks. At 8:10 pm my food finally arrived, 40 minutes later. The food was cold. Fries appeared to have sitting there for a while. When I physically touched the hot dog it felt so cold, it could've come from fridge to bun. I stuck my finger inside the hot dog to test it and it was ice cold. I pressed my button and called them over. They offered to remake my order. It is now 8:40 pm when they return with my food. I began to eat it, and guess what the food is COLD!!!! It's as if they gave me the same exact food. Again stuck my finger inside and it was cold. I got out of my car, went in to the window to complain. This place doesn't deserve even one star ! On July 23, 2021 I made a mobile order and sent my husband and father to pick it up. When they arrived my father called me to ask if I was sure the order went through because the car hopper said they didn't have an order with my name on it . I said yes, I have the email receipt. They told the lady about the email confirmation. The lady asked for my husband to pull up the order on the app and he showed her the confirmed order . She then , touched the phone as if she was looking to see if she could see the order ... and she freaking placed the exact same order ! The total was 62.00 (rounded up) That means that I just paid for the same order TWICE! I told my husband to ask to see the manager . The manager came out and was speaking to my husband and myself ( I was on speaker phone) . My husband explained to him what just happened and his literal words were " I can't give you a refund here, you have to call the customer service number" ...I proceeded to tell him "NO! Your employee just did this to us , I want a refund now! " He kept saying we had to call the number ...so we got both of their names and I called the number and put in a claim that night when they returned home . It is now September 23, 2021 and it has been 2 months and I still haven't received my refund! During these two months , I have called that customer service number about 8 to 10 times and I have every name I spoke to about this issue and every time I want to speak with the supervisor, I get told " they are busy on other calls , I will set up a call back and put it as an emergency " See the issue with that is , is that NO ONE CALLS YOU BACK! So now I will be calling my bank to dispute the charges , and make sure my voice is heard about this location. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else ! read more
