I got a tip that Sonny could fix my car. Brought my car in about 4:30 on a Friday for an estimate. They didn't look busy.. no other customers, no mechanics... just quiet. Told the man I needed an estimate. He said "kind of late bringing in now." Hmm... they close at 6 but maybe he wants to go home early. He took one look glance at the car and said "it totaled, you should have taken it to the junkyard." I told him I didn't expect it to be perfect but I needed the frame looked at. He said the trunk and bumper are no longer available. I know, those would have to be used parts. He said we don't do that kind of work here. "We want our work to look nice." Sonny would get a 5 star for adjusting and welding my front bumper if he didn't damage my car. I am 99 percent sure he did because I just bought the car, did a full inspection, touched up every single chip, then I bring it to his shop and noticed that only one side of his gate is open. I knew it looked small but trusted that he will open the other door to go in. When I picked up my car, both of my mirrors had chips and scratches on it and I asked him if he said he hit anything he said no. I don't believe this and have images to prove when I dropped of the car it wasn't like that. I am disappointed he lied because I woulda forgave him or split half of the paint cost which is business for him. He was a referral and I felt he shudnt have lied but I understand because the work he did for me was 375$ , I gave him 380. If he had to repaint my two mirrors it wouldn't be worth it for him - I get it, but still he shud come clean. The cost of repaint my two mirrors cost more than the job I paid him to too, so in a way bad luck for me, fix one thing then get two damages. I had more jobs that i was going to send his way but because of integrity , not , skill or value, I will not be going anymore. He also doesn't provide receipt with recording of ur car so no point trying to argue wit him and I doubt he will let u check his cameras. read more

Back in March I went over to Sonny Van Auto Body for an estimate to repair and paint the rear bumper of my Impala. At first I was not confident, but I came back after a couple of days and left my car to be worked on. They stuck by their original estimate and actually finished the next day (sooner than expected). They did an excellent job with the repair and painting. my bumper looked brand new! The price was very reasonable and they were careful with the rear/bumper parking/reverse sensors so I wouldn't need to get them calibrated. I've had been to this shop multiple times including myself and my entire family(we're such good drivers that's why). A few experiences for our visit: 1. My mother backed into a fire hydrant and literally left a huge hole in her passenger side door on her brand new 2015 Camry. We got estimates for a few places and hands down Sonny Van was beatable in cost but their professionalism was on point. But who cares about all that right? What was the end result? We got the car back in a timely manner and it look brand new, as if we just got it out of the lot. 2. I had a 2005 BMW that had an unexplainable sound(knock) issue that was keeping me from being able to sell my car. Everyone that looked at it, was very concern about the sound and was convinced the car had a transmission issue and was an expensive fix. I googled, looked on all the car blogs, nothing explained what it was. I brought it here to Hung, left it there for him to diagnose it. When I came to pick up my car, the knock was no longer there! Hung and his father are certainly helpful and honest and offer their services at highly competitive prices. I've been coming here for about 5 years now and have had a lot of work done on my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse which is getting up in it's miles. They are so kind to accommodate my schedule and are willing to stay a little bit late after closing if I'm running behind from work. They are proficient and keep me updated as to any changes in services. Once quoted, they always compete the service in stated time. I've also had body work done on my 2006 Audi A3 3.2L Quattro and am blown away by how well they buff and color match without actually replacing the bumper or paneling. Once they repaired a portion of the rear bumper that was dented and deeply scratched from a fender bender. Flawless and completely unnoticeable. More recently, they did their magic again on a bigger project on the front right of the vehicle which was roughed up by a huge piece of plywood that fell off a work truck on the 101. Affordable and did an amazing job!!! The minute I walked in, I was introduced to who I believe was the owner. He was an older vietnamese man who reminded me very much of my dad- so small and sweet! I had been in a slight fender bender that dented in the side of my front bumper and was almost sure that I had to get a brand new one. After going to 3 different body shops that all quoted me in the range of 1900-2100 dollars for a brand new one, I was discouraged because I just could not afford that much. Sonny Van Auto quoted me $700! Why so cheap? They said it wasn't necessary to put on a brand new bumper and that they could actually repair my original one. Thanks Kay for recommending this place! I needed my brake pads replaced and Hung was super nice on the phone and even nicer in person. Was upfront with all the info and gave me all the options. Considering how bad the state of my pads were he was concerned for me being on the road and got me in the next day. Had no problem answering all of my concerns and prices are very reasonable. He even added more glue to my falling off bumper and called me after I left the shop to tell me he did and be careful to let it dry. Excellent customer service. Recently my new Tesla got rear ended and the rear bumper needed paint repair. Sonny gave the best quote and I was referred by someone who knew Sonny. I was initially hesitant as this was not a Tesla authorized body shop. I took a chance and went with Sonny and he did not dissapoint me! Super helpful and affordable. I got rear ended awhile back in February and took my car here with a family friend's recommendation on a Friday. I thought it would take awhile for them to get to me car to work on or even to get the part. Uncle Ngoc got on the phone right away and found the part, he let me have the option of OEM or aftermarket and was up front about the price difference... I wouldn't have known any difference and he could have marked it up and I would have been sucked in to paying. Regardless, I felt it was a fair price he asked for part and labor, I dropped off the car on Sunday night and got it back Tuesday morning. I took my wife's ES300 Lexus in to Hung for an estimate on fixing the rear bumper (the recent victim of a hit and run accident), His estimate was not only cheaper than three other shops, he got the work done the next day, My wife and I were truly amazed at how good a job he did. He not only matched the stock 2-color paint perfectly, he fixed the bumper rather than attempting to replace it, and there was no trace that the bumper had ever been damaged.
