It took me a couple months to decide if I truly wanted to write this as I love supporting small businesses, but the way the owner, Woody, and his staff treated me as a woman made me feel it was important to warn other women to steer clear of this place. I was backed into in a parking lot and had just the right amount of damage to my driver door that required the whole door to be replaced. Woody at that time was very sweet and communicative. He ordered a used part from out of town; I waited for the part to come in. During that time, my 11 year old car with over 100k miles, not surprisingly, suddenly had the check engine light come on. My friend suggested maybe it's time to just get rid of the car instead of putting even more money into it when I had already replaced the transmission 6 months earlier. (Don't ever buy an Infiniti used, folks!) I called and initially asked for Woody, but the employee who answered said he was busy. I told the employee that the check engine light had come on and I was going to cancel the service with this shop. Of course, there were many apologies in there; I'm not a heartless person, as Woody would later yell at me. I simply couldn't afford to put more money into the car after the door was fixed here at this shop. The employee then became very nasty in his tone and barked at me that the part for the car just arrived that day and Woody wouldn't be able to refund it because it was bought as a used part. He let Woody know and said Woody would call me back. When Woody called me back, he wasted no time in beginning to yell at me and say how terrible of a person I was for wanting to sell my car because of the check engine light. How heartless I was because he couldn't return the part. I'm sorry, maybe you should've bought a part from somewhere where you could return it? I'm sure I'm not the first person to have canceled work with this shop and I'm sure I most certainly won't be the last. He tried to gain sympathy from me that he wasted $1500 but I'm sure he owns his car(s) and home here while I was struggling to make ends meet and needed a functioning car to work. Woody continued to yell over me whenever I tried to explain anything to him. I finally said why am I going to come bring my car to you now? You and your staff are making me feel unsafe as a woman, you both have yelled at me when I told you I am selling the car. Woody said that he would never do what I am doing to him but apparently yelling over a woman is okay to him. I know for a fact he had multiple projects he was working on as when I walked up to even get the estimate, nobody even acknowledged me because they were so busy!!! Once again, I know for a fact I am not the first person to have canceled a service with him and I know for a fact he's not hurting for business or money. Woody then proceeded to hang up on me. Everything he said to me when he was yelling at me was definitely a projection of his lack of emotional intelligence onto me. Why would you, as a business owner, go to such lengths to freak out when you're told, "Thank you so much, I'm sorry but never mind?" He should really work on that, especially if you're having single women come in to your shop looking for your help! Ladies, steer clear of this shop!!!!! We deserve respect as much as our male counterparts who also need their cars fixed. read more

I recently brought another car to Angkor and it was another top-notch experience. This time, I took in my son's Civic, which had some damage from a loose debris on 101 that damaged the front grill and a section of the undercarriage. After Woody looked over the damage, he ordered a replacement grill. As soon as he received the part, he called to say I can bring the car in the next day. Tony, who's been with Woody for about 20 years, worked on the car. It was impressive how knowledgeable, meticulous, and skilled Tony was. He took off the grill as well as several surrounding parts and removed over 20 screws that were in random and "hard to see places." He then prepped the new part, which included carefully removing the Honda logo from the old grill and attaching it to the new one. He then replaced it, ensuring each of the screws was accounted for and properly secured. (As an aside, if I was doing this, I would've had a few screws leftover). When Tony was done, everything looked perfect. He then also happened to notice the plate on the bottom of the car had come loose from the road debris so he secured it with another screw. My son had previously mentioned that he heard scraping sound anytime he went over even a small bump. After having brought 4 cars in total to Angkor for repairs, I wouldn't think of going to another place. Some freaky incident happened yesterday to my car bumper after exiting on Saratoga on 280S last evening, there's a huge puddle of water that i didn't see at all and totally shocked me when my car went into it and the water came up all over my windshield that i couldn't even see for a few seconds. when i came out of it, i just kept driving normally. i kept hearing a sound and i thought maybe the car was jus letting out the water or something. i went to mitsuwa to buy eggs and came out within like 5 min. i walked to my car which parked very close to the entrance and i saw my bumper half detached how could all this be from the damn water!!! anyway, i was soooo stresssed and when shiet happens i feel like i jus can't deal with my life lol after looking at diff places and recommendations from people, Woody was the only one that said i could take the car there immediately and also he came super highly recommended by a really trustworthy friend. upon arrival, i met Tony, who was really nice and took a quick look at my car and reassured me that it was just going to be a simple job. Gonna keep it simple. Asked for a spoiler install, gave them the instructions that came with aftermarket that said to specifically tilt the trunk so the bolts don't fall inside. I made it a point multiple times to please follow the instructions. Yet, when I get the car back, the bolts are inside and they didn't even let me know about it until I investigated myself. Also the bolts to secure the spoiler were not secure so I had to ask another mechanic to secure them the morning after. I would suggest any other body shop. Reply to the business owner: one of your technicians just called and said they knew it was an issue and didn't inform the lead tech. That's on you guys for not communicating to the customer. Customers trust you guys to do jobs, and if you fail, then we can leave a bad review. Simple as that read more

As someone who is extremely picky about automotive paint, I have been thoroughly surprised by the quality of work performed here, especially given the pricing. It is also tough to find shops to take on smaller jobs, as most are only interested in doing easy-money insurance repairs. We have taken our 2000 Porsche 996 and 2003 BMW M5 here to have cracked front bumpers repaired and painted, and other panels re-painted due to failing clear coat/rock chips. Most shops would turn this stuff away or charge an exorbitant amount because they'd rather not deal with it. Angkor is owned and run by true car enthusiasts who understand that perfection is in the details. They were able to repair the bumpers to perfection on both cars. Even better, they will send progress photos along the way to keep you updated. I have a 1969 Oldsmobile 442 all original I brought it to Angkor Collision.Woody For an estimate on repairs to my front fender and my passenger door. I've had this car. I bought it brand-new when I got out of the military and it was very special to me Tony and Woody at the shop treated me with respect and the best job that I've seen done to my car. There was deep crease in my fender just above my headlights and a large dent on my passenger door. They contacted me through each step to let me know if I was satisfied with what they were doing to other shop and they didn't want to touch it because of the crease in the front fender above the lights they said it tore into The metal and would have to probably replace the fender. Their metal work is outstanding . The paint was 55 years old and he matched it that you can't tell where the repair was. Woody has no idea how to diagnose auto problems. First, it's the filter, then the coils, then the spark plugs, then engine holder mount, then damaged sensors...until he finally hands you a huge bill and says the engine needs to be replaced. Of course, I paid him. But it is obvious that he has become very crooked over the years. I will never go here again. My Toyota RAV4 2013 got a fist-size dent on the rear hatch/door but the bumper looked fine. I took my car to 5 different body shops in San Jose and all of them quoted $1500-$2000 to fix. Some place even quoted me to replace the bumper and the door completely. When I arrived at Angkor, a mechanic in the office took a quick look and promised for $700-$800. I've been taking my RX-7 to Angkor Collision for over a decade now and have received nothing but quality workmanship, every time I bring my car in for auto body service. Their biggest challenge was in 2018, when they had to repair my front airdam, which is part of my Kaminari body kit. I damaged it when I made a sharp right turn into a parking garage and hacked off a quarter of the body kit & driver's mirror. Since the entire body kit has been discontinued for years, Tony was able to replicate the damaged end by making a mold of the undamaged side of the airdam, then replicate it, sand it, & re-spray it to make it look new again. I couldn't believe just how perfectly detailed it looked, upon completion! I was so relieved they could do this as Woody & his team continue to impress me with their work as I'll make sure to refer perspective business to them. read more

Although we did not end up going with this company for our auto body repairs (a place within walking distance to our home was more handy), we did get repair estimates from Angkor on our Honda because our long-time auto repair shop (B&C Auto, a great place by the way) highly recommended them. Angkor was very sensitive to our need to keep prices low and gave us multiple options. They were very knowledgeable and had competitive prices. The shop looks a little scruffy (personal oet peeve: the repair guys wasted lots of water washing their personal truck in front with a nozzle-less hose at the hieght of the drought--I told the owner) but other than that, I would certainly consider them again if the need arises. read more

Woody is a truly enthusiastic mechanic. I gave him an old and scratched 2008 Prius for repair work due to an accident. He and Meng worked on the car for about 10 days, and the car came back like new. Besides fixing the damaged radiator and body frame, they painted the damaged hood and front bumper, then they even helped to paint the previously scratched back bumper and side door and everywhere there are some scratches. I went in on 9/9/2022 because my car AC was blowing hot air. (Woody) the mechanic was confident that I had a Freon issue when I told him I didn't think that was the problem. I already used the store bought Freon can from Auto Zone and I already tried that out first before taking my car to him. I even brought the can with me to show him. He charged me $180 and guaranteed it was a Freon issue. The issue wasn't resolved and the hot air came back and I took it back in to tell him that it wasn't working. He said it was now the compressor and he didn't want to even partially refund me for the Freon service that didn't work. Instead, he yelled at me and told me to never come back. Infact, he said you drove it off the driveway and you felt it was cold at that time. I mean it's obvious that adding Freon would make the car cold temporarily. Theres just so much to say about how awesome this shop is! One unfortunate night my genesis coupe was tboned by a drunk driver, after seeing what had happened i thought to myself "damn its really done" or so i thought! Luckily my cousin referred me and i went to the shop the next day. Woody, Tony, actually all the workers were very nice and helpful. They went beyond my expectations on the repair and walked me through everything that had to be done as well as dealing with insurance. From time to time i would drop by and they would always make great progress. The parts they used were all oem and i cant exaggerate how good my paint was after they repainted it. All the body lines were on point and the fitment of all add ons were as well.They pretty much made the previous paint look 5x better!! Upon receiving the car, everything looked better and i couldnt have been more thankful. Months go by and boom!! A quarter panel hit and run?! Woody is a great guy! He is super honest and helpful, giving advice that saved me money. I really can't express how great and helpful he was to me. I had a small issue with my clear coat (about the size of a dime), and most other places said they needed to re-clear the entire panel, charging upwards of $400. I told them all that I didn't want to re-clear the entire panel, just to patch it so it didn't spread. I was willing to pay for a SIMPLE patch, but they all told me it wasn't possible. Woody did it for me, in 2 minutes and free of charge. He did tell me you can tell beforehand that the patch will be noticeable, but will stop the clear coat from peeling further, etc. He is a really nice person, and I will definitely go back to him when I have any problems with my car. read more

Was referred to these guys by Randy at PM Autoworks (great Subaru mechanic) to fix my daughter's Maza 3 after a hit-n-run destroyed both driver side doors. They were super nice to work with and gave a very reasonable price. Since we were on the hook for the $1k deductible (hit-n-run) we were trying to keep the costs down to maximize the insurance payout. I heard about this place through a friend that has used his services multiple times. I, myself, have gone to his shop twice for accidents I was invovled in (not to my fault - stupid drivers, damn you!) Woody is great! Prices are reasonable & afforadable, service is done in a timely manner (if not faster than you anticipate), and most importantly the work done is awesome. It's like you never had damage to your car to begin with. He offers a life-time warranty, so if the work is shotty, you can take it back and he'll fix it for you without charge until you're satisfied. He's also very thorough and pointed out the BAD job that was done prior to me owning the car (I guess it was invovlved in another accident before mine and the paint job was poor. Paint chips were flaking off where I was rear-ended). He made sure that that wouldn't happen once he was done with my fixes.
